I just read it on Dailymail news that Chelsea have agreed terms with Kai Havertz.

Total waste of money if you ask me
Coughing out £75m on a one season wonder.
The losses the club incurred on Kepa ,Bakayoko, Drinkwater and Zappacosta is enough.
I thought they were about to get it right with the singing of Hakim and Timo without breaking the bank.

Havertz is not a one season wonder he's been performing across various positions since his breakout season with Bayer be it CM, CAM, RW and CF. His best position is CAM where his goal scoring, passing and dribbling will be most useful, we don't currently have the player who can do what he brings to the table don't mention RLC because he's not always fit.

Firstly Havertz isn't a one season wonder, he is a genuine contender for top footballer

Secondly, only drinkwater in that list has lost a reasonable returns if sold but then again Marina can still do marina things.

Considering how much is being paid for talent his age, if Chelsea agrees a £75m fee for him, it's quite the bargain he should just come good.

Consider deals like Bruno for up to €80m
Felix €120m, Dembele about €130m and Sancho will soon join. Arthur went for 72m, and barca want to buy Martinez from inter for about €120m again.

If buying Havertz would make Chelsea win major titles it's worth it, even though I wonder how Lampard will line up with him along players like Pulisic, Werner, Ziyech, Mount, Giroud, Abraham and possibly William and Odoi

Meanwhile we paid €65m for Pulisic then
25year old Bruno, who I might and must add isn't better than Havertz, went for €55m + €25m in add-ons.

No, we aren't. Lampard wants to play with two attacking 8's and a DM. RLC's fitness is shaky, Barkley's decision making is beyond horrible, Kovacic is a DM/CM. So is Jorginho and so are Kante and Gilmour. So, too, is the returning Ethan Ampadu. Mason Mount alone fits that bill, unless Ziyech will play in midfield.

Also, Havertz is a very versatile player who can play across the entire front line. And he's not a one season wonder. He's played well since 2018 or so.

I worry about the defence, but if we can sign a good LB and Havertz, we will have enough firepower to outscore most teams.

We still need at least one CB, possibly two, and the rumors concerning a GK grow stronger by the day.

Yeah we need a solid LB to replace Emerson. James and Alonso to RWB and LWB respectively when needed, like in the game against Man U yesterday.
