Very inconsistent really?
He has played 35 matches with the "supposed inconsistency".
I get the fact that he was below par in some matches which is normal for a young player of his age.
Tell me the premier league player who has been consistent all season .
The current premier league top scorer (Jamie Vardy) had a dip in form for almost 2 months ,Kevin DeBruyne struggled against Liverpool, Man united, Southampton and few other matches. You don't expect them to keep churning out same performance week-in-week-out hence my encomium for Mount.

he has played in 49 matches this season but has only 7 goals from more than 90 shots taken, further showing how wasteful he is.
When you are playing that further forward in an attacking team with that amount of game time, you should definitely have more end product.
Mind you, I am not casting him off, I am simply pointing out that he is definitely not our "best" player this season.

It seems many of you are just choosing your best players as those with the highest appearances irrespective of their actual performances. Azpi that has been played constantly in a defense that has conceded more than 60 goals is who people are selecting.

These are all squad players. It's not every time you go for big names. Half of SAF Champion teams were made of your Fletchers, Park Ji Sungs, John O'Shea, Jonny Evans and co.

It's not every team that relegates, you would write off their players. Just like when Hull relegated and Nihilist and I pinpointed Maguire and Robertson as the standout players from there. These guys I mentioned are all better than Chelsea squad players in the same positions.

That was then and SAF who we all know had the backings of English FA and ref. I mean which coach will use cleverly and welbeck to win league if not SAF.
