Black Rome the all male dominated cult killers of the righteous.

And Malcom X was assassinated because he was a threat to Rome. They used the Holy See of the Bishop, Christian spies. to stalk Malcolm X and harass him. Eventually through all the Roman Catholic connections such as the CIA, FBI and the Black Boule secret societies of Greeks and Prince Hall Freemasonry they set Malcolm up and killed him.

The same ones who killed Christ killed Malcolm X.

Mother’s genes are usually 50% of a child’s DNA, and father’s genes are the other 50%. However, male genes are much more aggressive than female ones, that’s why they are usually more prominent. So, there are usually 40% of active female genes and 60% of active male genes.

Where ever you find sodomites you can find devil worshippers.

If a killer wearing all black and a mask ran into a crowd of people dressed in Black the killer would be hard to spot. Thereby legalizing and normalizing homosexuality you don't know which ones are the devil worshippers. Yet in the Bible it clearly says if a man is with a man it is an abomination. God Almighty is absolutely against homosexuality because he knows its origin is with devil worship and human sacrifice to those devils.

THE SPARTANS

Sparta or Lacedaemon, was a prominent city-state in ancient Greece, situated on the banks of the River Eurotas in Laconia, in south-eastern Peloponnese. It emerged as a political entity around the 10th century B.C. From c. 650 B.C, it rose to become the dominant military land-power in ancient Greece.

Sparta was unique in ancient Greece for its social system and constitution, which completely focused on military training and excellence. Its inhabitants were classified as Spartiates (Spartan citizens, who enjoyed full rights), Mothakes (non-Spartan free men raised as Spartans), Perioikoi (freedmen), and Helots (state-owned serfs, enslaved non-Spartan local population). Spartiates underwent the rigorous agoge training and education regimen, and Spartan phalanxes were widely considered to be among the best in battle. Spartan women enjoyed considerably more rights and equality to men than elsewhere in the classical world.

The Spartiates or Homoioi (Greek "those who are alike"wink were the males of Sparta known to the spartans as "peers" or "men of equal status". From a young age, male Spartiates were trained for battle and put through grueling challenges intended to craft them into fearless warriors. In battle, they had the reputation of being the best soldiers in Greece, and the strength of Sparta's hoplite forces let the city become the dominant state in Greece throughout most of the Hellenic period. No other City-state would dare to attack Sparta even though it only could muster a force of about 8000 Spartiates during the zenith of its dominance.

Given its military pre-eminence, Sparta was recognized as the overall leader of the combined Greek forces during the Greco-Persian Wars. Between 431 and 404 BC, Sparta was the principal enemy of Athens during the Peloponnesian War, from which it emerged victorious, though at great cost. Sparta's defeat by Thebes in the Battle of Leuctra in 371 BC ended Sparta's prominent role in Greece. However, it maintained its political independence until the Roman conquest of Greece in 146 BC.

Note: Herodotus in his book "The Persian Wars" circa 440 B.C. Book 4 - MELPOMENE [4.143]-[4.159]: Identifies the Spartans, not as Whites, but as a combination of Phoenicians and Minyae (Minyans): who along with the Pelasgians were the original Black inhabitants of Greece. See Herodotus text below.

The Hoplite

A hoplite was a citizen-soldier of the Ancient Greek city-states. Hoplites were primarily armed as spear-men and fought in a phalanx formation. The word "hoplite" derives from "hoplon" the type of the shield used by the soldiers, although, as a word, "hopla" could also denote weapons held or even full armament. In later texts, the term hoplite is used to denote any armored infantry, regardless of armament or ethnicity.

A hoplite was primarily a free citizen who was usually individually responsible for procuring his armor and weapon. They were expected to take part in any military campaign when they were called for duty. The Lacedaemonian citizens (Spartans) were renowned for their life-long combat training and almost mythical military prowess, while their greatest adversaries, the Athenians, were exempted from service after the 60th year of their lives.

Not only were the Romans and Greeks Blacks so were the Spartans.

Ancient HistoryAncient GreeceWere the Spartans Gay? Homosexuality in Sparta, Ancient Greece

Fifth Century BC Bust of Spartan Hoplite

Pederasty, or the sexual love of adolescent boys, was a strong part of Ancient Greek culture. It was age-defined and kept within strict social norms. The lover, or erastes, was a man in his twenties. He would court the youth that took his fancy, buying him presents and helping him to progress. He would also mentor the youth and provide a role model for him.

The beloved, or eromenos, was typically between twelve and seventeen years old. His sexual role in the relationship was always that of a passive receiver, and the relationship was expected to end once the boy became a man himself and looked for his own eromenos.

The state of Sparta made homosexual relationships mandatory

In the military totalitarian city state of Sparta, every aspect of life was fully proscribed by the state. All Spartan males underwent full military training from the age of seven years. At the age of twelve or thirteen, this included taking an erastes from among the older men. This older lover was seen as much as a mentor and role model for the Spartan boy as a lover, and the performance of the boy in battle was now the responsibility of his mentor. Thus it was an educational as much as a sexual role.

While there is no doubt that some of the relationships between Spartan men and their protégés in the army were sexual, they did not have to be. Two of the most well known sources of our knowledge about Sparta; Plutarch and Xenophon, stressed that the relationship should consist of “ideal friendship” and that to sexually consummate it would be “an abomination”. Nonetheless, any man who refused to take on a young boy as his protégé would be punished, as it was seen as a duty to raise another Spartan boy to be as good a fighter as yourself.

The homoerotic element cannot be entirely ignored. The Spartan King Agesilaus was mocked by his friends because he drew back from the offered kiss of a very beautiful boy, Megabates. They called him a coward for being afraid of a boy’s caresses, but Agesilaus eventually said he would rather remain above such things, and keep his liberty.

Lesbian and gay women’s relationships in Ancient Sparta

Spartan women benefitted from a degree of autonomy and freedom that was not found anywhere else in ancient Greece. While boys were taken from their mothers at the age of seven to begin military training in an all-male environment, girls remained with their families. They also attended school however, and followed a program parallel to the boys; focusing on physical excellence, music and dance. It was considered as important to bring up girls to be mothers of men as to bring up the boys to be men.

There is no doubt that parallel relationships of erastes and eromenos also existed between Spartan girls and their older role models. We know this partly through the work of the Spartan poet Alkman. His poetry, sung by two competing choirs of Spartan girls to the goddesses and their choir mistresses, reveals idealised love on behalf of the girls for the women.

“Let Astaphis be mine

Have Philylla look my way

And Damareta, and sexy Ianthemis,

But Hagesichora is our saviour

Is not Hagesichora of the lovely ankles here with us?

…only Hagesichora could give the girls the peace they desired.”

Marriage and heterosexual relationships in ancient Sparta

All Spartan men and women were required to marry and beget children. A man who had not married by the appropriate time – his late twenties – was subject to social ridicule, mockery and punishment. He was not permitted to watch the gymnastic festivals of the youth of Sparta (consisting of naked displays of dancing, athletics and martial arts), but was required instead to parade around naked himself, singing songs attesting to his inadequacy and his meriting of punishment.

Marriage customs in Sparta were in fact highly unusual. The bride’s head was shaved and she was dressed as a boy. A mock abduction would be staged, and she would be taken from her father’s house to the barracks of her husband, where she would wait for him in his room. In the morning she would return to her father’s house. For the first few years of marriage, she would visit her husband only at night, and as secretly as possible. Once she had children, her husband would set up house with her, but he was still obliged to eat daily with his fellow soldiers in his mess hall.

If a husband could not make his wife pregnant, or if the babies were defective, it was considered wise for the woman, with her husband’s consent, to seek a lover.

Gay men and women in ancient Sparta

The contradiction of the ancient Greek city state of Sparta is that it was a military totalitarian state which enforced strict social roles for its members, yet within that framework a range of sexual freedoms was permitted. Heterosexuality and homosexuality were both encouraged and expected at different stages in life, with homosexuality, in common with prevalent ancient Greek thought, being seen as the ideal form of love and heterosexuality as essential for procreation.

Here you see Spartans were homosexuals or pedophiles. The older men took the younger boys for wives. There is another African culture that does this and we shall explore this theme today.

Homosexuals develop within them aggresive psychology making them them perfect kill and terrorize warriors. They will commit any savage act under orders.

THE BOY-WIVES OF THE AZANDE OF THE SUDAN

The Azande inhabit the north of Central Africa. Those of them living in the Yambio district of the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan were studied by the English anthropologist Sir Edward Evan Evans-Pritchard (1902-73) in his first fieldwork between 1926 and 1929.

The following is what he had to say about their practice of Greek love in his essay "Sexual Inversion among the Azande", inAmerican Anthropologist, New Series, Vol. 72, No. 6 (December 1970) pp. 1428-34. Some of his findings had been reported as early as 1932 in his The Pagan Tribes of Nilotic Sudan, pp. 506-7 by the ethnologist Charles Gabriel Seligman, who, however, added nothing of his own.

Azande of the Sudan warriors ca. 1878

It is beyond question that male homosexuality, or rather a sexual relationship between young warriors and boys, was common in pre-European days among the Azande, and as Czekanowski (1924:56), citing Junker (1892: 3-4), has pointed out, there is no reason to suppose that it was introduced by Arabs as some have thought. All Azande I have known well enough to discuss this matter have asserted also that female homosexuality (lesbianism) was practiced in polygamous homes in the past and still (1930) is sometimes. This paper brings together information about both practices and presents translations of a few texts on the subject taken down from Azande of the Sudan forty years ago.

Before European rule was imposed on the Azande there was a good deal of fighting between kingdoms (Evans-Pritchard 1957b, 1957c). Part of the adult male population of each kingdom was organized in military companies of abakumba 'married men' and aparanga 'bachelors'; the same companies, besides their military functions, served at courts in various capacities and were called on for labor in the royal and princely cultivations (Evans-Pritchard 1957a). In this account we do not have to refer again to the companies of married men. It was the custom for members of bachelor companies, some of whom would always be living in barracks at court, to take boy-wives. This was undoubtedly brought about by the scarcity of marriageable women in the days when the nobility and also the richer commoners kept large harems and were able to do so because bridewealth was hard to come by and they were able to acquire it more easily than poorer men. Most young men consequently married late - well into their twenties and thirties - and, because girls were engaged (in a legal sense married) very young, often at birth, the only way youths could obtain satisfaction from a woman was in adultery. But that was a very dangerous solution to a young man's problem, for the fine his father would have to pay was heavy - twenty spears and a woman, which meant in effect the payment of two women to the husband; it sometimes happened that the husband was so enraged that he refused compensation and chose instead to mutilate the offender, cutting off his ears, upper lip, genitals, and hands. So, the risk being too great, it was the custom for cautious bachelors in the military companies who were living at court, if they were not content to masturbate - a practice to which no shame is attached, though a young man would not do it in public - to marry boys and satisfy their sexual needs with them. A youth of position in his company might have more than one boy (kumba gude). To these boys their warrior mates were badiya ngbanga 'court lovers.'

Azande warriors from The History of Mankind by F. Ratzel, 1898

That it was on account of the difficulties of getting satisfaction in heterosexual relationships that boy marriage was a recognized temporary union is, I believe, shown by the fact that boy marriage has in post-European times entirely disappeared. It is true that the military companies disappeared also; but Azande, I think rightly, attribute the giving up of the custom to its having become easier for youths to marry and, in the general breakdown of morals and of the suppression of customary punishments, to indulge in adultery and fornication. Boy marriage was owing, Azande say, to zanga ade'lack of women.' As one man put it, "What man would prefer a boy to a woman ? A man would be a fool to do so. The love of boys arose from lack of women." So the Azande in my day spoke of it as kuru pai 'old custom,' though I have never heard anyone speak of sleeping with a boy with distaste - at worst it is regarded as something of a joke; even in my time one heard it said of a man that he used to be some well- known older man's boy much as we in England might say that someone at school was gay to some celebrity. It should also be made clear that, as in ancient Greece, so far as one can judge, when the boy-wives grew up and when they and their husbands married females they had a normal married life like everyone else. There were no urnings in the modern European sense.

The custom of boy marriage had died out before I first visited Zandeland, and as direct observation no longer was possible, I had to rely on statements about the past, but such statements by senior men were unanimous. I have pointedly used the terms "wife," "husband," and "marriage," for, as the texts will make clear, the relationship was, for so long as it lasted, a legal union on the model of a normal marriage. The warrior paid bridewealth (some five spears or more) to the parents of his boy and performed services for them as he would have done had he married their daughter; if he proved to be a good son- in-law they might later replace the son by a daughter. Also, if another man had relations with his boy he could, I was told, sue him at court for adultery.

Four Azande boy circumcision initiates wearing penis-guards, ca. 1928

The boys were "women": "Ade nga ami," they would say, "we are women." A boy was addressed by his lover as diare 'my wife,' and the boy addressed him as kumbami 'my husband.' The boys used to eat out of sight of the warriors in the same way as women do not eat in the presence of their husbands. The boys performed many of the smaller services a woman performs daily for her husband, such as gathering leaves for his ablutions, gathering leaves for his bed, drawing water and breaking off firewood for him, helping him in hoeing his father's cultivations, bearing messages for him, and bringing him cooked provisions from his home to court to supplement those provided by the prince; but he did not cook porridge for him. With regard to these services it should be borne in mind that a young man at court had no mother or sisters to look after him there. Also, the boy-wife carried his husband's shield when on a journey. It should be understood that he performed these services lest it might be thought that the relationship was entirely of a sexual nature; it will be appreciated that it had an educational side to it. With regard to the sexual side, at night the boy slept with his lover, who had intercourse with him between his thighs (Azande expressed disgust at the suggestion of anal penetration). The boys got what pleasure they could by friction of their organs on the husband's belly or groin. However, even though there was this side to the relationship, it was clear from Zande accounts that there was also the comfort of a nightly sharing of the bed with a companion.

The word "boy" (kumba gude) must, it would appear, be interpreted liberally, for as far as I could judge from what I was told the lads might have been anywhere between about twelve and twenty years of age. When they ceased to be boys they joined the companies of warriors to which their at-one-time husbands belonged and took boys to wife on their own account; so the period of marriage was also one of apprenticeship. I cannot present figures for boy marriages, but the practice was certainly both accepted and common. I obtained lists of a succession of such marriages from several senior men but there would be little profit after this lapse of time (sixty-five years after King Gbudwe's death) in recording just strings of names.

Azande prince Gangura with his wives and children, ca. 1928

Before giving the texts it should be further stated that some members of the noble ruling class indulged in homosexual intercourse. In the main these were those young sons of princes who hung about court till their fathers saw fit to give them wives and districts to administer. They kept well away from their fathers' harems and took commoner boys as servants and for sexual pleasure. It appears also that a prince, however many wives he might have, might sleep with a boy rather than by himself during the night before consulting the poison oracle, for intercourse with a woman was taboo on these occasions. It was said that kumba gude na gberesa nga benge te 'a boy does not spoil the poison oracle.' Otherwise I have heard of only one senior prince - deposed by the administration - who, although he had several wives, still habitually slept with boys. For this and other reasons he was regarded by Azande as slightly crazy. One must not jump to conclusions, as Czekanowski did on what Junker had recorded about boys accompanying a Zande prince wherever he went; all kings and princes are accompanied by pages who are treated by their masters with notable indulgence in contrast with the severe aloofness with which their seniors are usually treated.

Text (Evans-Pritchard 1963a:277-280) was taken down from Kuagbiaru, a man well acquainted with the court life of the past who had himself been a boy-wife and, as head of a company of warriors at the court of Prince Gangura, several times a husband to boys.

In the past men used to have sexual relations with boys as they did with wives. A man paid compensation to another if he had relations with his boy. People asked for the hand of a boy with a spear, just as they asked for the hand of a maiden of her parents.[1] All those young warriors who were at court, all had their boys. Those huts of the young men which were around the court, all their boy-loves were in those huts. They built their huts large and long, and there were many youths to each hut, each in his own place, together with their captain. Their boy-loves also slept in the huts. When night fell they all kindled fires in front of their husbands' beds, each kindled a fire in front of his lover's bed. When the young warriors began to be very hungry at court they sent their boy-loves to their [the boys'] parents to fetch food for them. Their boy-loves went and returned with fine lots of porridge and cooked fowls and beer. The relatives of a boy escorted him [when he was married] in the same way as they escorted a bride [on her marriage] to her husband with much good food. However, the boys did not cook porridge for their lovers themselves; they cooked manioc and sweet potatoes for their lovers. It was their mothers [the boys'] who cooked porridge in their homes, and nice meats; and some of them cooked fowls. They collected all these lots of food together where their husbands were. All these youths and their loves, there was no forgetfulness of the boys' part about giving food to the lovers. But that porridge which they gave them, they broke off part of it together with part of the meats to hide it for their husbands, for they were like wives.[2] Their lovers did not approve of their laughing loud like men, they desired them to speak softly, as women speak.

When all the young warriors went to hoe the prince's cultivations each took his love with him. When they reached the cultivations they built a big hut for their captain and they set up a palsade around it. In this enclosure, filled with boys, otherwise was the captain alone. Then the youths began to build their little shelters adjacent to the hut of the captain, and they stretched far, crossing streams. But all their boys were in the enclosure they had erected for the captain. When it was dusk the boys scattered, each to the hut of his lover to kindle a fire there for his lover. Each went to kindle a fire in the hut of his own lover. Next morning they gathered together in the enclosure of the captain. No youth could enter there without permission. The captain gave them their meals behind the enclosure. Only if the captain felt well-disposed towards him might he summon one of the senior youths into the enclosure to share his meal with him. All the rest of them never entered the enclosure; they saw their loves at night. The youths hoed the cultivations till evening and then they returned to their sleeping places. Their loves had already made their husbands' beds and kindled fires for them in their huts.

Text (Evans-Pritchard 1962:16-17) was taken down from Ganga, one of King Gbudwe's captains of companies of warriors.

This is about how men married boys when Gbudwe was lord of his domains. In those days, if a man had relations with the wife of another the husband killed him or he cut off his hands and his genitals. So for that reason a man used to marry a boy to have orgasm between his thighs, which quieted his desire for a woman. If this boy was a good wife to his husband five spears might be paid for him, and for another as many as ten might be paid. A husband who was liberal to his in-laws, they would later give him a woman, saying that good for a boy, how much better for a woman; so if he married a girl his in-laws would greatly profit, and so they gave him a wife [girl]. This his boy, he did not abide seeing another near him; they would quarrel, and if they took the matter before [King] Gbudwe, Gbudwe told the one who went after the other's boy to pay him spears [in compensation] since he had gone after the other's boy. Also there were some men who, although they had [female] wives, still married boys. When war broke out they took their boys with them,[3] but they did not take them to the place of fighting; the boys remained behind in the camp, for they were like women; and they collected firewood for their husbands and plucked nzawaleaves [for the toilet] and they cooked meals for when their husbands returned from the fighting. They did for their husbands everything a wife does for her husband. They drew water and presented it before their husbands on their knees and they took food and brought it to them, and the husbands washed their hands and ate this meal and then recounted what had happened in the fighting to their boy-wives.

[The following section here omitted concerned lesbianism]

Perhaps I should add in conclusion to this note that it is not of course being suggested that pederasty and tribadism are explained by social conditions such as those obtaining among the Azande. Obviously they are not. What is perhaps accounted for, given libidinous plasticity, are the institutional forms prevalent in Zande society and the (male) attitudes towards them.

[1] A man asking a girl's parents for her in marriage gave them a spear or two as a first installment of bridewealth. In the case of boys, the acceptance of a spear likewise constituted a legal marriage.

[2] In preparing a meal for guests a Zande wife often kept part of it back before serving it so that her husband could have a second meal secretly when the guests had departed

[3] Intercourse with women was taboo for warriors during periods of fighting.

Now here is a culture deep within Africa in Sudan called Azande who practice pederasts culture of man boy love. Homosexual warriors start with the Black race going back when Whites were uncivilized cave people.

The Etoro tribe in New Guinea is known for its belief that each man’s “life force” is contained in semen. Similar to Ancient Greek same-sex rites, they commonly have boys perform ritualized MouthAction on older men, thereby passing on the life force from one generation to the next. This has the effect of privileging a male’s status to a woman’s, to the point that heterosexual intercourse is prohibited for up to 260 days of the year and is forbidden in or near their houses and vegetable gardens. Homosexual relations, however, are permitted at any time as the “life force” exchange is believed to make crops fertile.

In the same Oceanic country of Papua New Guinea, the Marind tribe—also known for their cannibalistic practices—believes, like the Etoro, in the semen/life-force concept and utilizes it in ritual ceremonies before heterosexual marriage. The Sambia tribe in PNG has similar beliefs and practices. Of course, it should be noted that this version of homosexuality could not be farther removed—geographically, practically, and philosophically—from the gay rights debate in the United States and Europe.

Meet the tribe that drinks semen to turn boys into men

This ritual, which is a symbol of a young boy’s rite of passage to manhood, starts when a boy is between the ages of 6 to 10 and comprises of 6 stages.

The Sambia Tribe in Papua New Guinea have tradition that has fascinated (and confused) many. They are the tribe that drinks semen to turn boys into men and we bring you everything you need to know about them.

This ritual, which is a symbol of a young boy’s rite of passage to manhood, starts when a boy is between the ages of 6 to 10 and comprises of 6 stages.

Imperative to the processes and teaching of the initial ceremony is the notion that women can be dangerous to men.

To become a man, and in essence a “warrior,” these young men are taught how to detach themselves from their mothers and the women around them as a means of showing that they can live without them and prove their masculinity.

Another Black tribe from Papua New Guinea who practices pederasts culture.

I do not support this nasty culture. Yet I'm asking is who covers it up?

There is apparently alot of evil within the Black race that stem back thousands of years. Do you understand now why Christ was crucified for speaking out against this filth? And why it was so important for Israel not to fall into the cultures around them? This is because other Black cultures had this nasty culture. Rome most certainly was Black, homosexual, supported human sacrifice and slavery. Romans took the culture of Christ Israel to mask their evil culture then gave it a White face. Black Romans intentionally crucified Christ and replaced him with a White Zeus although Zeus is the old Black pervert God king of Black Greece.

Samson the Greek? 3,000-year-old archaeological finds at Tel Dan suggest that the Danites were Aegean soldiers hired by Canaan's Egyptian overlords to keep order.

The Tribe of Dan, one of the 12 "Israelite tribes," may have started as no such thing. New archaeological evidence suggests that the Danites originated with mercenaries hired from the Aegean and Syria by the Egyptian overlords of Canaan to keep order.

According to the Bible, after the Israelites conquered Canaan, the land was split between the tribes – with the exception of the tribe of Dan. Bitter at their lot, the tribe went northward, conquered and destroyed the city of Laish (also called Leshem), then rebuilt it and renamed it after their ancestor (Judges 18:1-29).

Tell el-Qadi had been identified previously as the biblical city of Dan. Now recent excavations have uncovered a large neighborhood from the 12-11th century B.C.E. that shows compelling Aegean influences.

Lucifer's kingdom is a sex kingdom. Homosexuality primes or invokes aggressive psychology in them to where they can go out and kidnap people and sacrifice them to the devil. Where ever you find sodomites you can find devil worshippers. And where ever you find devil worshippers they are homosexuals.

Black Rome fell in 476 A.D because Christianity had wore it down. The rise of Christianity was so significant because Christ had become a martyr for the one God Almighty and His one Divine Law. These Black Roman Emperor from Augustu to Nero the last were Anti Christs and merely wore Christianity as a cover. They were homosexual devil worshippers who enslaved, sacrificed and ruled mercilessly over the other Hebrews, Egyptians, Carthageans they conquered. The throne of Rome then passed to Whites with Blacks ruling through secret societies.

So Christ's who was from the line of King David by his father Joseph and Mother Mary. The Romans created the Immaculate Conception story and wrote the Gospels. They changed Christ's name from Hebrew into Greek calling him Jesus or Zeus the old Black King who founded Greece. Who switched the story? The Blacks who lost after Rome fell because of the power of Christianity so many mayrts died in Roman cities all the way up to the end. These wicked Blacks went back to North Africa and this bloodline continued. It continues within all those who practice still this Roman Babylonian culture
that goes under various traditional titles, because Babylon is the root. For Babylon is the oldest record of the time when the Black race begin to dabble in Black magick and challenge God Almighty for His throne mislead by demons. Alot of them adopted worship of various Jinn as tribal gods.

This is a great controversy yet where have Rome ever in their history displayed values Christ stood up for? What of the millions of children molested by their priests? Sending these demons into society by spreading this practice. What of the moral consequences related to violence produced by these demons. The countless wars all over the world because these demons have caused man to be wicked and cruel. Surely we fight not against flesh and yet principalities in high places. The principalities are demons the psychology that results from cursed practices which spread demons. You can tell which demon is ruling over an area based upon the kind of satanic crime most commonly committed. We will get into demons a little later and their different types.

Plato Was Not White

Posted by Nathan P. Gilmour

Nathan P. Gilmour , 5 August 2014.

Another teaching semester is about to ramp up, and as is often the case, I have some Platonic dialogues lined up to teach.  I’ve taught at least one dialogue in  almost every semester since about 2005, and on the campus of Emmanuel College, where I’ve taught since 2009, people who know about me at all know about me as “that Plato guy.”  My sense is that the relatively few people who know about me on the Internet regard me likewise.

Perhaps that professional investment in Plato (personally, I’m more of a postmodern Augustinian with leanings towards MacIntyre’s brand of neo-Thomism) has made me more irritable than I should be when the old Athenian ends up in the crosshairs of well-meaning folks who wish to set right the balance of power and take away the overlordship (I prefer that Anglo-Saxon compound word to the Hellenism “hegemony,” and I grant the irony) from “dead white males.”  I think the political questions there are fascinating, but a matter of some historical import gets in the way of the politics, if one isn’t careful: Plato wasn’t White.

Whiteness, as sociologists will tell you if you ask, isn’t merely a matter of skin pigmentation: it’s a much more complex and more historical phenomenon. The stories of “light-skinned” Black people in the twentieth-century United States show some of this complexity.  Because they’re part of a narrative that involves centuries of institutional slavery, being “light-skinned” does not confer membership in the social group of political power. There might be social benefit relative to White people or even among other Black people, but also possible is a betrayal-anxiety renders such a Black person subject to different sorts of injustice, perhaps even suspicion that they’re masquerading as white by their own choice or betraying “their people” because they “look white.”

Likewise, human beings born into the former (or current) European Empires with lighter-than-average pigmentation don’t get treated as “white” so much as exotic specimens of “those people” who “look like us.” Pigmentation figures in but only pigmentation as one variable in a complex, multi-variable system.

Where did Plato go in all of this?  My brief answer is that the name “Plato” has become a token in a game that the historical man Plato would not have recognized.  The fact of the matter is that Athens, though a significant regional power in the fifth and fourth centuries, was not the sort of global empire that the British and French and Germans and Dutch grabbed and maintained a couple thousand years after he wrote his rightly-famous dialogues.  In fact, reading around in the actual texts of Plato and his contemporaries reveals a fascination not with “white” empires (there weren’t any yet) but with the Egyptians, Babylonians, Persians, and other, more far-reaching powers who have become, in the age of European empires, the colonies of the new world powers.  And that’s the point: “White” names a very recent development in the grand human story, not one that’s perpetual or inevitable.  And that means we’re free to imagine other possibilities.

That’s what’s insidious about declaring Plato “White” too easily: such a move threatens to obscure the contingency of history, in which the man Plato was not “White” because that term takes its twenty-first-century meaning not from skin-coloring but from a centuries-long (but not THAT many centuries!) narrative of Capitalist-formed human slavery, nationalist-based empire-building, and–I grant this point–attempts to co-opt texts like those of Homer and Euripides and Plato as parts of a “Western Canon,” a movement that claims them as part of a project of “civilization” undeniably tied up in the story of how northern and western Europeans became “White” as opposed to the Asian and African and American tribes over whom they won military supremacy.

Or, to put it another way, I fear that when we 21st-century folks point at Plato and shout “White!” we forget the contingency and thus the mutability of the story of “White” and grant “White” a historical longevity that it just doesn’t have.  My hunch is that we might actually find more political grain to glean when we grant the historical contingency of the era of European overlordship, and I eagerly note that Washington, D.C. in the twentieth century is something analogous to Baghdad in the ninth or Rome in the first or Babylon centuries before that without being identical to any of the above.  But to insist on the “Whiteness” and thus the moral badness of someone who wasn’t around long enough to see that part of the human story strikes me as a reductionist move that ultimately cuts off conversations that are worth having.

Is Nathan Gilmour, twenty-first-century English professor and blogger, White?  Yes.  And there are better ways and worse ways for him to be so.  May he always be aware enough of his place in complex historical stories to strive towards better ways of living with his neighbor as the contingent, historical being that Dasein finds itself being.

Was Plato White?  No.  And my hunch is that the best way of reading him is not as a forerunner and pioneer of the British Empire but as someone alien to our own experiences precisely because he was a Greek and thus not a beneficiary of Empire the way that Nathan Gilmour is.

Of course Plato was Black and so was the King of Greece and Rome also Blacks.

Socrates is also Black.

WAS SOCRATES BLACK

SOCRATES DESCRIBED HIS OWN APPEARANCE AS BLACK

Death from a kangaroo court brought on by drinking from a cup of poison hemlock as punishment for his teachings, the words of Socrates provide pillars of Christian belief and Western thought. These have earned him the title of Father of Western Philosophy. Those ideas include: The doctrine of Nous, i.e. Mind or Intelligent Cause in order to account for God and Creation. The immortality of the soul. The doctrine of Supreme Good. However, was Socrates African?

A. BLACK ATHENA: In Black Athena: The Afroasiatic Roots of Classical Civilization, Martin Bernal ignited a controversy expounding on a hypothesis that ancient Greece, and hence Western civilization, derived much of its cultural roots from Afroasiatic (Egyptian and Phoenician) cultures. He also holds that Socrates was African. His chief critic, Mary Lefkowitz of Wellesley College, believes that Bernal is mistaken and hence the groundwork for their debate. Yet, neither has mentioned that Socrates described himself as African – hence, there’s no argument (see below).

B. DEFINITION OF AFRICAN: An African is an individual inclined to have wooly hair, a full mouth, and full nose [11, 12, 13,14, 16, 17, 18, 19]. Wooly hair has a long history. It is recorded for the Son of Man in the bible in Daniel 7:9 where he’s described as having a “head like pure wool.” Hence, while Socrates does not describe his hair, as he has other African features, wooly hair would accompany them [11, 13, 15, 16, 19] though the sculptures don’t show wooly hair: Wavy [1 through 6, 8, 9, 10] but not wooly [11, 13, 15, 16, 19]. The sculptors, in their use of creative license, I’d say, were amiss.

C. SOCRATES DESCRIBES SELF AS AFRICAN: In the Socratic Dialogue, Symposia, chapter V (perhaps first mentioned in the 1980s by Dr. Clyde Winters), Socrates gives a self-definition based on African features. In one of his last dialogues before his death, Socrates and Critobulus compete to win the Prize of Beauty; he, Socrates or Critobulus, a new colonist. And, who better to describe himself than himself? Socrates uses the following words to describe himself: He says his nose bridge isn’t high and nose not straight [e.g. 6, 9, 10] as Critobulus’ but “spread out wide and flat,” [5, 13, 14]. And both Critobulus and Socrates also speak of his “snub nose.” [see: 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, and 11 – 19]. Socrates specifically states that unlike Critobulus, he has “thick lips.” [see especially: 5, 11, 13, 14]. Equally convincing is that he describes himself as looking like the most handsome god “Selinus,” [11 – 16] and all will recognize them not as Mongol or white, but African as Socrates unabashedly and proudly describes himself – gloriously Sambo. This is amusing as white supremists, voicing the claim by the German philosopher George Hegel, state that Africans contributed nothing to civilization. Socrates gave philosophy departments and Hegel a job.

D. SOURCES SPEAKING TO SOCRATES’ AFRICAN PHYSIQUE: Ancient authority (Plat. Symp. 215a ff.; Xen. Symp. 5.7) speaks of Socrates’ stocky body [Attic actors, 500 BC # 17; and from Athen’s Temple of Hercules, 550 BC, #18]. The preceding were Pygmies as Plato describes Socrates’ psysiognomy.

E. WHY SCHOLARS AND THE WORLD THINK SOCRATES WAS WHITE [6, 7, 8, 9, 10]: In the weeks or months following his death, Socrates’ followers had pictures painted of him referred to in ancient texts. These along with his own self-description (the literature states) provided sculptors with material to make sculptures of him based on psysiognomy and called in the literature, Type A (see 1 – 5 above). Lycippus, the famous sculptor who gave us images in stone of Alexander (he was the court sculptor) also made a sculpture of Socrates. Socrates was a favorite subject of reproduction and many Grecian islands had schools that produced his bust giving us stylized 3rd century images of a white Socrates which gained credibility due to their hoary age. And historians least liked and least showed the most African-looking images of Socrates [1 – 5]; and, most promoted the white-looking Socrates [6, 7, 8]. But, facts show the white Socrates (Type B, 6 – 10), is divorced from reality. Socrates called himself African. Socrates: hero (he 3 times participated in the Peloponnesian War against Assyria), Statesman, African, and Father of Western Philosophy.

You see Socrates is Black because classical Greeks and Romans are Blacks and the Whites were their servants now called Jews or Tribe of Dan the Black Nobility, etc

Most do as they believe anyone who thinks outside the box is insane.

Do you really think Nigeria isnt hindered by religion?

I can quote a famous Nigerian pastor who thinks so.

Any nation that has shrines for human sacrifice and can be found like local corner stores is in serious trouble with God.
