It can be fixed but it’s a 50/50 chance that it won’t spoil back again. I fixed mine and it’s still okay. Fix it first at the rate of 6-7K. New one is around 30k

@ luvinhubby Well done.

Honda accord 2003 revs accompanied by a jerk before changing gear, happens mostly when moving from 2 to 3. It's a 4 plug, automatic and has been scanned severally with just 02 sensor error, both gear solenoid have been removed and serviced, still same issue. Please any ideas.

The Nissan Pathfinder that we left together with same load just bent low but the Tyres didn't bent side ways

What could be the Cause What is faulty ....or is it normal?

Either you’re not very knowledgeable about these things and Honda products in general or like I said before, you lots cannot maintenan your vehicle properly.

First off, a power steering rack (especially in a Honda) isn’t a part that should be replaced with a used unit. What warranty do you get on a used one with unverifiable miles on it that it wont start leaking and go out after a couple of a thousand miles?

Something delicate and sensitive as that should be replaced with a brand new OEM unit.

If you then buy a supposedly ‘brand new’ unit at ladipo for 35k then that is a chinese knock-off part and not actual OEM.

Your SUV has multilink rear suspension setup. They contain various control arms and bushings which may become worn out over time.
It is noted that the PILOT 1st generation models have a rear wheel negative camber setup, but when your shocks or one or more bushings go bad, or even when you have fully loaded that suv, it 'gives' that rear squat stance.

NOTE: that slight negative camber setup in Honda pilot is meant for stability on speeds.

You are right. Where can I get the OEM products here in Lagos. I don’t like ordering stuff from aliex. I prefer a Face To face

Remote diagnosis unavailable.

Recommendation: visit a competent workshop to have it carefully and properly checked.

You can get very decent pulled or fairly used parts, including steering racks from the market and still have value for money from it.

Good morning all. I have a quick (newbie) question.

Why is the European version of the 8th Gen Honda not popularly exported to Naija? Most of the offerings for sale are the North American version?

The Euro version has sharper lines and better looking than the round-bottomed North American ones that predominate IMO.

Is there a particular reason for this preference? And will the Euro spec command a premium?

Thanks for your time.

Morning house

Accord 2004 jerks slightly only when engaged on D or R on idle..
Please note: this happens only when the car is on idle and ofcos the brake is engaged while on idle..both on reverse and drive

What could be the cause and possible solution please

Shift solenoid is bad or dirty.

Replace or clean.

Also when last did you change your oil?

I need advice. I have decided to go with Honda Civic 2008 (American spec) as my first car.

I don't know the first thing about cars, but I just like the build and beauty of the civic. I just want to know if it's a troublesome car, what are the things to look out for (I plan to buy a Nigerian used)

Hello!

If it is the high mileage, extended performance Mobil 1, DO NOT USE except your engine is leaking oil already.
By 'leaking oil', I mean engine oil minimally SEEPING out of some parts of the engine, giving it a wet appearance.

If your engine block and sump are dry and free of engine oil seepage, continue with the normal full synthetic Mobil 1.

Why?
The HIGH MILEAGE, extended performance Mobil 1 contains additives that swell up your oil seals. The aim is to improve the competence of the seals in a high mileage engine (some of which are likely to have started allowing oil seep through).
However, the unintended consequence of using the oil in an engine not yet leaking oil is compromise of the integrity of intact seals....and they will soon start seeping oil.

I do hope you understand. Good luck.

for the engine oil spec check the oil cap ..use synthetic or conventional oil.. if u re buying synthetic find out whether that it what the previous owner was using before if not stick to mineral oil and buy the specified ratings writing on d cap.... don't use 20w50 as the kazeem will advise u to.

for the transmission use only genuine Honda DW buy from trusted sellers too.
