bro how many days did they use to verify nawa
Sometimes I think the VO sometimes don’t check statement of account if they feel it’s very genuine unless they have doubts
This one shock me
I do think they check the statement well and put a call through to the bank to verify, calling the bank to verify doesn’t take forever bro.
Mehn it was so fast and I’m really concern about my application.
God over everything bro.

Hello Versashee,

Your own Luck defines the term. The oil oozes of anointing.

Please, if you can make the sacrifice and request for your Gcms notes, you will be helping hundreds of applicants here understand or study this new adopted process and style by the VOs.

If its not too much to ask, you can share your document list and sponsor type.

Success all the way!

I didn't choke-up my application with plenty documents.

I submitted:

the needed forms
Affidavidt of good behaviour (signed and stamped in court)
Affidavit of sponsorship (From my sponsor signed and stamped in court)
Sponsor's letter of sponsorship
Sponsor's personal account ( stamped, signed, scanned and uploaded)
Sponsor's CAC documents
My Admission letter
Proof of tuition deposit
International certification
International Passport
Police certificate
Employment letter (signed and stamped)
Recommendation letter from employer(signed and stamped)

What school / program are you going in for?

What session (Fall 2020 / Winter 2021)?

What’s your tuition fee like (yearly or for the complete 2 years)?

Is your sponsor a biological parent or someone with a different surname?

What’s your age - if you don’t mind sharing (PS: you could give a range, e.g 20-23 / 24-26 / 27+)?...

How long ago did you graduate from your ist degree institution (or how long ago did you complete NYSC)?

LASTLY, Are you a male or female?

Sorry for my plenty questions.

U are welcome..

On a very rare occasions does University ranking matter when applying for Jobs in Canada.

From my own research & experience from folks have seen
Its your Resume (Canadian Style & ATS Standard), Skill Sets, Work Experience & Professional Certifications, Linkdein Profile that matter when applying for Jobs in Canada

So if you see other skools at a more affordable price that has a Data Science Masters program in Canada, go for it
Thanks, I appreciate greatly smiley

Dear good people of Nairaland, please I was offered admission by Cape Breton University into Baccalaureate Diploma Business Analytics, commencing this fall. But I already have Msc in Insurance and Risk Management.

Will the VO see it as progression or regression or should I apply for another Masters program. I am currently working with a financial institution.

Please I need your advise and any useful resources that will be of help.

It seems many Nigerians are not fans of the online lectures. You're an exception to that. I sometimes wonder how many people with AIPs will actually start their studies online.

Wow thats good Mcgill university?
How many months did it take for you to get AIP?
I applied last month

Approximately 2 months. What programme are you going for at McGill?

McGill students usually get their permits as long as they submit the right documents.

I see. Which department is that? Most departments offer full funding (tuition and living expenses). Did you request for funding from the GPD? The general advice is that one shouldn't do a PhD without some form of funding.

In any case, hope you made your proof of finance tight? That may be the only issue you may have but I would like to think you got that covered.

Calm down on the bolded before people start believing this. All students of all schools get their permits as long as their documents are good not just McGill cos I know 5students going there yet to get an AIP. VOs consider schools but dont have preferences.

My salary account of 3.1m closing balance inflow and out flow of 10m.
How do i go about getting funding from GPD.

With all respect to you and your efforts, a PhD without scholarship is a suffer trap. I will not advise my enemy to do a PhD with scholarship. I will advise you to look for another school or program that will give you scholarship. If you get visa, I will advise you transfer to a post graduate diploma or any two year program. A PhD is almost disregarded in the job market, paying for it is definitely not a wise financial choice. However, the final choice yours. All the best.

I don't think I said students from other schools don't get their SPs. I only said McGill students don't usually get their SP applications refused (especially for reasons like purpose of study or intent) and there are specific reasons for this that have nothing to do with the VOs' preferences at all. This statement is based on available statistics but, of course, getting a SP is ultimately a gamble. Just make sure the odds are in your favour.
