n3xt: Are you the body builder swaggering on the job? Why can't the pillars have complete footing/stand, I mean why is a portion always sticking out? This kind of pillars are only common in Nigeria or should we call it Nigeria architecture?, it always look like an amateur job/design looking at it, worst of all every Diccck and Harry's just copy. 1 Like |

Planning to build a 2 bedroom flat bungalow with a penthouse as the master bedroom. I'll update you guys as soon as i kick off the project to get info when i need it and i hope it will be available I pray we all achieve our dreams. shalom! 8 Likes |

kingzsoul: Amen! It won’t take 5 years. Just be courageous. I’m doing my current build for one of my juniors back in the days. When he first approached me, I smiled and told him “Do you have N50m?” He said “Bros, it’s you I want on the project. I know you’ll guide me.” We initially planned bungalow but we eventually built a massive duplex. In less than 2 years, the house is nearing completion and he has also acquired over 14 new plots in choice area in Ibadan. Be determined and keep hustling. 3 Likes

EgunMogaji2: A lot have happened in the last 5 years. Here’s the thing I tell the guys “This is a test. Do a good job and you’ll never have to beg for job again in your life. Be contented with whatever you’re paid.” The guy can visit your project as soon as you’re ready. Grow through what you go through. 3 Likes |

Chekitaut: Here you go again Sir, you and this your always elaborate prices. The world of materials handling doesn't revolve around only you. There are others in the game and maybe they are not charging exorbitantly. There's no way that you can know the price of materials all over the country. Always with the same "quarry must be right next door to you". To aspiring builders, Chekiaut price is what he listed. You can handily beat that price so just use it as a general guide. 6 Likes |

EgunMogaji2:Bale of IBADAN, your property at Omi Ado is a lucky place to live & low cost of materials such as Granite, Sharp Sand because is close to miming site. Thank your God. Sometimes is good to ask questions, a ton of stonedust is 800-1200/ton. I may not be too good in mathematics ooo is 24k-36k(depending on quality of dust. Transport to my catchment area is btw 90k-120k Lagos Mainland, Lekki Ajah respectively. So Egun of Omi Ado, your terrain, they enjoy rent there, is 200k to 300k 3bedroom flat that is cost of room & palour face me slap u for Lekki, even in mainland a room goes for 200k |

Chekitaut: Oga Chekiaut too much Shalaye. Just say how much you’re selling yours for specific area. You come across as being the ultimate price setter for materials you’re not. We’re talking about price of materials not rent. Again ridiculous. Is it only in Omi Adio that I’m building? Regarding asking questions, in all the years that we’ve been here together, have I ever asked you a question? Why would I start now? 4 Likes |

omanzo02: My brother... I thought I was the only one that hates those pillars that the bottom are not standing on anything but just postruding. I had same sitiation on one of my project, I had to tell the bricklayers to put one extra courses of block as to make the pillars stand on a base that makes it levelled. I hate those pillars without base. Lack of finishing. Thanks. Hajji M. 1 Like |

EgunMogaji2:Lagos, Ogun, Abuja, Edo, Rivers, Anambra... The Cabal in Ibadan Quarries are not accommodating. Let the. cabal maintain their terrain. Stonedust going to Asaba now on my way. @ N190k for 30tons Abuja stonedust is N3,400/ton transport excluded. |

EgunMogaji2: mufutau55: In this case, the project owner was adamant. I advised him to put blocks during the laying of the interlocking stones but he said he see no reason to add extra course to make it level. It’s sad when you see people complain about little things that makes a very big difference on a project. This is a project of over N200 million and just less than 40 pieces of 9in blocks to fill up the void is messing it up. Edit: These are part of the danger of not having an engineer or an experienced professional on a site or trying to DIY critical stage of work or refusal to listen to professional advice. Someone should have established the finished ground level before the sandfilling of the compound and installation of the pillars. I think the person to blame here should be the ornamental guy. Adding at least one course of block below the pillars or at extending the base could have save the worries. 1 Like
