Prison And Hospital Ministry by trueking: 9:31pm On Feb 03, 2020 |
I have this burning desire in my heart to minister to people in prisons and hospitals, and motherless babies homes. I will distribute BIBLES, and Christian literature, towels, antiseptic soap, toothpaste, pain killers multivitamin capsules , mats, plastic cups, detergents, I have a friend at the Red Cross who told me if the items are given to the wardens it does not get to the prisoners, Is there anyone here with experience on how to go about it? 1 Like |

trueking: You don't know the real meaning of "PRISON" From your human reasoning, it's only those locked up somewhere that are prisoners shey? Well there are many wealthy ones who had no time to listen to the preaching of God's word, when Jesus and his disciples were preaching from house to house and door to door, they can't reach such people due to tight security. So there are many who are in the prison but you only think of the less privileged, you're not thinking of those whose privileges is also a kind of prison barring them from meeting the true Christians! |

Maximus69:I think the people you talked about are those who chose to remain in their prison, remember the rich young ruler that came to Jesus, who was asked to share his possessions and give to the poor? |

alignacademy:The Corona virus stalled everything, some personal challenges came up so, I just need to get back on my feet first, but by the grace of God, I plan to do Christmas for prisoners and motherless babies home and orphanages. |

trueking: The bolded is a lie my friend, religion has been since time immemorial so if not a chance to say something that will touch their hearts many can't understand or see the difference between one religion or another. Remember each person is born into one religion, therefore the only reason why they can think of converting to Christianity is words that reaches deep down their hearts {Act 26:24-28} not just the noise in the streets or social media! Maximus69: Maximus69: You don't know the real meaning of "PRISON" Achorladey: That's how you manipulate the thought of the Op to fit your agenda Here is trueking words....... people in prisons and hospitals referring to a PLACE in particular. Maximus69: From your human reasoning, it's only those locked up somewhere that are prisoners shey? Achorladey: See thinking but yours is God's reasoning shey? It would have been interesting trueking ask you, that did his post limit prisoners to those locked in a place. Raising questions to DIVERT the Op intentions. Maximus69: Well there are many wealthy ones who had no time to listen to the preaching of God's word, when Jesus and his disciples were preaching from house to house and door to door, they can't reach such people due to tight security. Achorladey: What a fitting response from trueking as captured below and that confirms the fact that he has a good idea what this thread is set up for and what he want to achieve. I think the people you talked about are those who chose to remain in their prison.....trueking And the title of the thread is PRISON and HOSPITAL MINISTRY Maximus69: So there are many who are in the prison but you only think of the less privileged, you're not thinking of those whose privileges is also a kind of prison barring them from meeting the true Christians. Achorladey: And this comes under irrelevance as it concerns the focus of the thread . And please what are you doing with the word CHRISTIANS. That name according to you is cursed, borrowed and no longer used by God When the organization you belong organize people to go to correctional facilities as they are known and called now in Nigeria. Does that mean they forget about people who made themselves prisoners? when you answer this question, you will understand what trueking aims. Trueking: I have this burning desire in my heart to minister to people in prisons and hospitals, and motherless babies homes. Achorladey: Do your findings well, there will certainly be a way to go about it and considering current reforms the correctional facilities are undergoing. The mode of operations might have changed too to help your course. James 1:27........ Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. 1 Like |

achorladey:Thanks, as I read your post I was reminded, they are now called correctional facilities in Nigeria, I plan to raise between #1m to #1.5m by the grace of God, when the time comes I'll get people from here to go with me. I really feel for people in Nigeria's correctional facilities, especially the innocent ones, I am talking to a law firm if they can handle some cases "pro bono", but their response for now isn't encouraging, but I'll talk to more. 1 Like |
