horlorbah: Page One should have a cash certificate template you can use. Your method of payment isn't the issue, the concern is the 2019-2020 experience, I am not sure how it counts as one year given that 2020 hasn't ended. The Express entry software might automatically count it as one year but when an agent reviews it, he/she would see that you haven't spent 12 months at that job. Please remember that you're adding up the total number of months, you need 36 months to claim 3 years. Doesn't necessarily have to be 2012-2013 etc. Only one year has to be continuous, the rest can be patches of months put together to give you the maximum amount of months you need. 3 Likes |

To claim work experience points, the job has to meet these qualifications. Your skilled work experience must be: NOC A, B, 0 Must be Paid (No Volunteer work, you can use paid internships that isn't a course/program requirement) Full time or Part time If what you did met these qualifications, you can use it, if not, you'd have to find something else to replace it as long as it is a relevant NOC and paid. It is a good practice to refer to IRCC/CIC website for information that isn't subject to interpretation. Read more here francophone134: |

Nafeesah1234: Oh wow. We sincerely apologise about that. There was no full confirmation from the admin unit at the time that enrollment would cease. However, there is an upcoming crash course session that we still try to inform people about, in case they would be interested. |

Hello everyone. My brother and his fiancee are planning to begin this process. They intend to get married before entering the pool and the lady is the principal applicant. She wants to start her evaluation process and also write IELTS in about a month's time. However, she doesn't have an international passport. The question is, can she go ahead and apply for a passport in her maiden name(they aren't married yet but would be married before they enter the pool)this means her evaluation would be done in her maiden name, her IELTS in her maiden name and they will be getting married in November/December and apply as married. Is it okay to do this without complicating their application? Or is it better to get married first and get her passport in her married name, then proceed to do her evaluation and IELTS? ELDERS PLEASE HELP |

Thecannylady: Yes, getting passport, evaluation and IELTS in her maiden name isn’t a problem. The main question here is, what’s her CRS if she applies as a married person? Is it above current trends? |

Cutiepie123: Bsc. Architecture dosent equate to a professional degree, just so you know. You need atleast a Masters, or an additional certificate to get more points, in order to improve your chances. I have a Bsc Architecture and an Msc. but evaluated Msc with Wes. 1 Like |

Help with choice of primary NOC. Msc. Civil Engineering NYSC. maths teaching. Noc 4031. Other experience: two years NOC 4021. Note: NOC 4021 is nominated by Saks n Nova Scotia but NOC 4031 is a bit more related to my degree. 1.Which one should be my primary NOC? 2. Can I still get nominated for NOC 4021 even if I do not pick it as primary NOC? Just want to know if this primary NOC thing really applies to me since I have at least one year experience for both jobs. |

Good morning everyone. Noc gurus, please we need your advice. I am asking for a friend. Her job title in the bank she works with is Relationship officer in Mortgage and stockbroking. Initially she entered the pool with 6235 (Financial sales representative) but now she intends to change it to other financial officers(1114) as she feels it aligns more with her JD than the former. Please see attached the JD for NOC 1114 and the JD listed by her HR. The HR is not willing to tweak anything as we know most banks already have their format as she even had to beg him to tweak and use words that a bit similar to the JD and not the initial letter the unit gave. Kindly advice on this as she wants to be sure that the JD the HR wrote on her reference letter is okay for her to claim NOC 1114 Ednut1 Newmum0615

RealTrump: You can use either as your primary NOC provided you have 1 yr continuous work experience in it...and all other conditions are met e.g. paid, hours, JD matches etc NOC doesn't need to be related to your degree unless you are looking for a provincial nomination from Sask from what I know. I think any provincial nomination will be based only on your primary NOC in your Express Entry profile, not the 2nd one. 1 Like |

Prettiepearlz: NOC guru pls help. My opinion is that JD doesn't really match 1114 below. Which of the 6 jobs under 1114 does she think goes? https://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?CLV=4&CPV=1114&CST=01012016&CVD=314247&Function=getVD&MLV=4&TVD=314243 Why is she changing her mind from 6235? Her job title doesn't matter. |

CIIN exams update! One fact is that CF2 is quite bulky so anyone preparing for this exam needs to go through the study texts twice. 1 Like 1 Share

Cutiepie123: Based on my knowledge, PMP certifications can't be evaluated, to award you points for two or more certificates, degrees or diploma. Perhaps someone else may have a contrary view, and can decide to shed more light. |
