How can food be the primary focus of a new outing/dating?

How can you get to know someone better when hunger is your main focus?
Times are hard, but life goes on; so, it's high time we used our common sense.
The entitlement mentality must stop.

Ladies, gents - if you're going on a date, eat at home and go out for drinks in a bar.
how many cans of malt can you drink in 2 hours?
las las, 1,500 don cover am.
enough of the nonsense.

What d'you think?

Even if I ate before coming to the date, I still won't sit down and be drinking malt or beer with you on a first date. If we ain't eating/snacking, it isn't a date. Simple.

I love to eat real food and not junks because I love real food and that has nothing to do with me going on a date just because I do not have food in the house, I just enjoy eating outside sometimes..... #Foodiegeng

You missed the point of Op.

You are even ordering barbecue and fish for your sex partner, Op is saying he's not ordering anything food except maybe malt. Like you go to meet someone somewhere and you can't order fish at least? Which kain nonsense thinking is that?

Eating before going on a date does not make any sense. That is poverty mentality.
It is also likely to mount up your calorie intake for that day.
A better advice would be for both parties to go with cash just in case...
grin grin. Nigerians have converted date to all about food, even on a first date that should be more of interactions and light refreshments..

absolutely brother but then again . nigerian girls have poor mentality most of them think that when you ask them out on a date it means free food and drinks for them
Point of correction, some Nigerian girls.
You all need to stop shaming ladies like you've met every lady
Some of these so-called niggers are being fed and all by Nigerian ladies but you'll never hear them say it. Such a shame how some men reason like they've toured every nook and cranny of Nigeria and dated every Nigerian lady, like I always say, men aren't any better.

I had to ooh because some of these guys act like fools sometimes. When they hang out with their guys, they order everything without blinking or thinking about bills but once it involves a lady, a prospective life partner, they suddenly become wise. Mtcheww.

But Truth be told, if I don't fancy you, I'll chop you to stupor so that next time, you won't reason a date with me.lol...

I think the concern should be those girls who come along with a whole team because them get plans to deplete the guy’s resources cheesy. If malt is what we have on the menu, fine, but trying to limit me to malt because you think I am hungry? Haba! If I am really hungry, I will buy food for myself and buy for him too. Nonsense grin grin

Rather, most Nigerian guys have inferiority complex who are ashamed to stay within their means.
They are the ones who make the girls believe they can afford heaven and earth.
Be calming down...cheesy

The truth is some ladies can be a mess on a date.... Some won't even strike good conversation, but will come alive when ordering anything edible on the menu.. cheesy

To some guys it can be a turn off, even if the guy is loaded with cash.

Packaging is important.

I wont blame girls for having that mentality. The guyz caused it. A guy needs a girls attention for a date and the next thing he says is let me go and flex you. I have seen guys do this countless times. The girl sees this as an opportunity to plunder. So we guys should change the narrative

Everyone pays for their own meals. Ladies should stop depending on a guy to pay for their lunch or dinner. No free meal in life. You work for your keep!
If guy is insistent of paying, allow him but on condition you will pay for next.

That's not how it works though. If you ask someone out on a date, it's mandatory that you're paying and you announce it. If they decide to reciprocate it, fine, but it's not a must.

Too many hungry fools, the worse part is them trying to act posh. I remember meeting up with this biitch at one eatery early this year. After chatting for a while, with laughs and all. She then asked what i wanted from her, i bluntly told her strictly FWB, as i just got of a relationship at the time and was never looking forward to getting into another for a long time.

Her mood changed afterwards and the chat became so boring, i then told her i was not going to stop her if she wanted to leave. Biitch said okay and ended her words with "dont call my number again", in my mind i was like, you just spelt out my intention.

But what surprised me was this biitch had the nerve to still demand tfare, I sha vex drop am 1k, then she left with my hollandia youghurt that i hadn't opened. I was more surprised than angry, I just dey laugh for my mind say hunger dey this land no be small.

Lol..

I'm not a hungry lion. So??

The only people who tend to do such to me are my male cousins. As in.. they'll spoil until you beg to go. And they'll still drop you home but shishi, they won't give you. So, I stopped following them out when my teeth began to shift from eating too much of nkwobi and isiewu. Lol..

I fear who no fear Lagos boys o. Those my cousins are something else.

Date or no date, women love food, they love eating, once you understand this, half of your problems with women is already solved grin If you have cohabited with a woman, you will understand. Dem no dey take food play. To a man, food is just food, food is just a casual thing we do to refresh ourselves. But to a woman, food is life, food is a relationship, food is a culture, it is an art, it is a profession, it is a job, it is a hobby, it is an obsession, it is everything. Women can talk to food grin. How many times do you see women snapping and posting food on social media, with an invisible caption, 'See the love of my life grin
women love comfort, and good food is part of comfortable living..

Forget!

If we're being honest with ourselves, food is a major part of the excitement of the date, apart from the person.
That is why I like white people's mentality. They don't pretend.
