Hello Tobyy10, Is this statement for your personal bank account or for a sponsor? Did you get it from the bank yourself? Was every page stamped by the bank? Was there any lump sum deposit in the account? These questions might help reveal where the problem is from. This situation must be handled properly and with care, as it could attract a 5 year ban Tobyy10: |

Hello oreafe, With an annual tuition of 17m, the proof of fund you submitted is insufficient. You are required to show 1 year tuition + at least 10,000 cad for your proof of funds. Let’s assume the over 10,000 cad in your account will be for your living expenses. Your husband pays 17 million for your tuition. He will be left with 3 million. Please note that you should also show 3,000 -4,000 cad for “others” which would take care of transportation and miscellaneous. Since you have kids, the visa officer would also look out for how your hubby and kids will survive after all your expenses are paid, so the money left with your husband (2 million or less) would be deemed insufficient to care for everything. I hope you see where I’m coming from. While you wait for your gcms notes, you can try to build your account up. Update: after writing all these, I saw you mentioned that you paid fees. How much did you pay? Did you pay 1 year tuition? Did you attach the receipt from your Uni confirming payment? Did you get a study leave letter? In your next application, I’ll advice you attach any document that could show that your hubby and kids who will stay behind have adequate resources to live well. In all, the GCMS notes would make everything clearer. All I have said here are just speculations. As for cheap schools, you can consider thesis master’s, they’re usually way cheaper with more scholarship options but most require you find a supervisor before application. For schools with cheap courses in your line check: Memorial university of Newfoundland Canadian Mennonite University Centennial college Royal roads university St Mary’s University, Halifax Carleton University Simon Fraser University A google search with the name of course and Canada in front e.g “Master’s in International relations course Canada” will also bring up many options. You can state the specific course you’re looking at, so people can assist adequately. @lekiboboe is our guru for that All the best Ma. oreafe: |

oreafe: My sister my guess is that your PR point will look great if you pass your ielts, 8777. At worst, go as unaccompanied and file for your husband later. You kukuma want to leave him behind for study visa before. You already have a masters and going for another masters. It is hard but not impossible to sell. I will rather stress myself with immigration than student visa in your case. You can still try your student visa again if you want to. I am just tired of seeing what we have to go through for student visa when PR applications don’t even face half of it. All the best. 1 Like |

Tobyy10: You have to argue your case with evidence if you know the account is not fraudulent. Call your bank and notify them. Get their opinion and way forward. Reprint the statement from the previous statement start date to now. Collect a letter of reference from your bank. Write a letter arguing your case and submit all the documents as evidence. These are my suggestions. Perhaps others will know more or offer contrary but better opinion. I also hope your bank is a reputable bank in Nigeria. All the best. |

You’re welcome. Yes you can. It’s called dual intent. A lady who was in the EE pool with a high score recently applied for a study permit and she received an approval for her study permit. If I see her story, I’ll tag you. Please try to read through the thread from page one to get adequate knowledge about applications. You can learn a thing or two from people’s approvals, rejections and documents submitted. All the best Ma oreafe: |

If you're certain you didn't use a fake SOA then you're good. Go to your bank with your parents and the letter from CIC. Ask the bank to write a letter confirming the authenticity of the SOA. The content should confirm opening and closing balance on the date it was printed. The letter should also include the date the account was opened, account number and account name. Make sure the letter has the signature of the branch manager, contact number, email and stamp. They did not ask for a new SOA, so you don't need to submit a new one. If they need a new SOA, they will ask. you should also get your parents to write a letter to confirm the authenticity of the SOA. And that they provided the SOA to you to support your application for SP. Tell them to include their contact details as well. Then you should write a letter to deny their allegation. No need to write too much. Thank the VO for his/her time and for looking at your application. Assure the VO that the SOA is authentic and refer them to the supporting docs (letter from bank and your parent). Also include in your letter that the VO should not hesitate to contact you if they require additional information. Conclude by saying you look forward to receiving approval for your SOA and thank the VO for his/her timely consideration of your application. Shikena. Chocs: 6 Likes 1 Share |

Dear Tobby10, Have your bank send them your bank statement via MyBank. The MyBank process allows your bank send the embassy your authentic bank statement directly in a secured format. Your bank will issue you a certificate/ticket that confirms your transaction. While you do this, still request your bank to write a confirmation letter on the authenticity of the statement. Your bank not want to write owing to the fact they did not send the bank statement directly to the embassy as their is the possibility of alteration in between the processes. Take note again that the embassy is not questioning the authenticity of ur SOA in blindness. There is a red flag somewhere and be careful of your responses. Overall, let your bank respond on your behalf. Good luck 3 Likes |

Hello Trip2, Not all banks have the MyBank process. For example, my bank doesn’t. But it would be awesome if @Tobyy10 bank has it. It’s a great way to clear the visa officer’s doubt. Trip2: |

This would be a good candidate case for judicial review assuming all other bases are well covered in the application. Taiwolus: |

Good day everyone, Please I need our help. I applied for my study visa in January and after waiting for almost 19 months I got my AIP last week. Due to the long time line, I deferred my admission till June, 2021. I received a letter of request from the embassy that I should provide my Letter of Acceptance that the one I have is no longer valid. Please advice me, should I send the letter of acceptance with June or I should reach out to my school and ask them to help me shift it back to January, 2021. And I want to know if Letter of Acceptance is the same as Admission Letter. Thank you. |

@Justwise @Frankrobbn1 To be honest, I feel like you guys are doing way too much for free and perhaps it's creating room for nonsensical stuffs on here. I including a truck load of other monikers on this thread have learned tremendously about the entire Canada study permit process to the extent of even coaching newbies just by virtue of reading Frank's well articulated responses and issued advice towards applicants. It's scary reading line by line the drama that went down and even after virtually everyone told the moniker to apologize to Frank, retard kept on saying shit in defense. Abeg sir moderator @Justwise take down that moniker at least for decorum to be observed on this forum. 11 Likes |

Pseermuhel: Yep, Letter of acceptance is the same thing as admission letter. When I had this same issue all I did was message the school for a new one and sent it to them |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Akannitommy: 8:49am On Oct 01, 2020 |
I will advise you to ask your school to defer until Fall 2021, if possible. So your June 2021 is still the best you have now. January 2021 is not sure. My school already confirmed that Winter 2021 will be done online. Pseermuhel: |
