Now it's crazy.

I paid 7k plus in April to have my transcript delivered to one UK educational body. They didn't deliver. They didn't mail me. I mailed them like more than a month after only for them to tell me the address is invalid, they didn't say that before o, they waited for my mail.
They are not even replying to my request for refund as time has passed already.

Now I need my student copy, I can't get it. The student portal is not well set up.

And the record mail they gave out, the people on the receiving end are not competent at all. Imagine them telling me to goto FAQ and m apply from there.

I need my transcript before next week and I don't know what to do.

Went to unilag they said they don't attend to people on transcript issue, it has to be done online.

Please who else is having issue with unilag transcript. Share your experience let's make this go viral

I wrote a letter to the institution I graduated from, posted with just #50.

Nipost and the university surprised me.
In fact, I didn't know it had been sent, until the person I had over there chatted me up.

My guy he knows what he is saying. The fact that your own was successful does not mean others were. People has lost opportunities , some have even committed suicide over this same issue.
In short, I believe you are lying! People that their own failed mentioned the name of their universities, You can't even say the name of your institution. That is to show you are a liar.

Did you read I was surprise about it?
I purposely didn't want to mention the name of the institution, because the average Nigerian thinks going to a those Uni means you are from a rich home.....

I responded because he generalised all Nigerian universities. Iwasn't expecting to receive it as well, because I believed the stereotype thing happens generally.
Since you think I am lying, fine by you. But I have a copy in my email, so you are free to believe I am lying.

In my own case I paid 25k online for my transcript to be delivered to an evaluation company in the US. I started this process since May and it is yet to be delivered to the company. I am currently in the States thus I cannot physically go to Unilag Records Office to know what the issue is. I sent them several emails and its either they ignore me or reply me in caplocks that my transcript application will be treated accordingly.

So its five months and yet no transcript! Isn't that crazy? It's not fair as I believe this delay will encourage people (both student/alumni and staff) to indulge in bribery and corruption in order to fasttrack the system. I've already heard of people who got their transcript asap because they went to the Records Office to "fast track". The Unilag management need to stop this delay in processing transcript as it would only encourage corruption.

UNN iTranscript process is much better as I got my transcript within a space of 1 month. I got my transcript dispatched and received by an Evaluation Company and I did it from the comfort of my room! So I believe Unilag can do better.

I got an email on Friday (January 31st) that my Transcript has been dispatched. That's 9 whole months of waiting! That's crazy.

Find a way to get to their office, I waited 5 months to send out the country but it got completed in another 1 month after regular visit

What level /year are you doing?

I don't think Nigerian universities, except maybe open uni, give transcripts for those who are yet to graduate.

But, the best you can do is to visit exams and records office in the school, or send an email to the email address on the transcript page.

OAU’s Transcripts Problems: What the Alumni Body Should Do
One of the biggest problems alumni of any school in Nigeria currently face is trying to get their transcripts from their school they graduated from. If you are a graduate and you have not had to lose an advance admission, an opportunity to travel abroad or a delayed promotion at work because your employer is waiting for you to provide your transcripts, it most probably means you’ve not started using your education at the places where you should be using it. Hello Mr Funsho, My sister send you an email. She applied for her transcript at Fed. Polytechnic Ilaro. The transcript was sent to WES. However, WES sent a verification back to Ilaro and they are waiting for Ilaro to verify her documents. Your kind consideration and action will be highly appreciated.
