Can someone please confirm what type of camera this is?

Is it a cctv camera or an LPR for tagging cars?

Dialogue is the answer.

Destroying our country is not the way forward.

Nobody will win, we will all lose!!

The government will lose!

The people will lose!

Let us not incite violence!!

These cameras are not CCTV cameras but license plate verification cameras.
They were removed to prevent vandalization after the curfew was announced.

This is the thing with fake news!!

Don't we all look stupid now?

Yeah I can't agree more. You all look stupid as fu*k.

Street lights that are up in the air and backup power was shut down too to avoid vandalization.

Those gunshots where also dubed into those live clips.

The guys approaching the crowd with guns blazing on full auto are also fake.

Bastards.

The status quo in this country will remain the same because y'all are just too dumb to see the truth even if it is staring at you all in the eyes.

SSBN, Defense news Nigeria

Bro, I appreciate you're trying to show Nigeria in a positive light on twitter.

However it is disingenuous to always post unverified content, it's fraudulent to do that, and reinforces the false stereotype that some Nigerians are untrustworthy.

Come on bro, you have a large following on twitter, please stop misinforming people.

Please delete that list of weapons you posted.

Today we have all borne witness and seen the destructive power of fake news.

A couple weeks back i mentioned that SSBN/Defense news Nigeria posting false information on twitter is a national security risk.

This week, events unconnected with SSBN/Defense News Nigeria, have played out, and the result has been people dead, properties destroyed across many Nigerian cities, curfew in place and a Nation on it's knees.

All because some people raised tension through unverified reportage on social media, amplified by the silence of the people in government.

I beg of us all, let us verify our posts before sharing on social media.

Don't post content here or on any social media capable of inciting violence and civil unrest.

God Bless Nigeria.

Kindly answer this questions.
1. Is peaceful protest a crime?
2. Is it okay to kill peaceful protesters?
3. Was it okay that peaceful Shia protesters were exterminated in Zaria?
4. Is it okay that Shia protesters were murdered in cold blood by the presidential Guards Brigade. New York Times made an investigative video on this that proved beyond reasonable doubt that the president authorized the murder.
5. Is it okay that peaceful ipob protesters were murdered in droves?
6. Is it a crime to be a Nigerian?

Good day, My name is Obi-Enadhuze Daniel younger brother of the now deceased Okechukwu Obi-Enadhuze @O_Okee . I, my brother and mother lived at makinde police barracks, mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos State. Today at about 11 o'clock in the morning...
.

... the police station at makinde was attacked by thugs who wanted to destroy the station, I my mom and brother were holed up in our house, The attack went on for hours before the thugs eventually breached the police and proceeded to set the station on fire, after accomplishing..

...this they set their sights to the barracks and began the assault, they proceeded to destroy every car in the barracks, my mom's 2 cars where destroyed and set on fire and then they infiltrated our house by breaking the door...

... they then proceeded to ransack the house and carted away with everything we own, my brother on trying to get them to take everything but spare us was pushed to my mom's room and stabbed on the neck, the attacker then proceeded to attack me but missed my neck...
.
...but got my chin instead, after this my mom and I carried my brothers body to the entrance of the station soliciting for help from the thugs still ravaging the barracks, we were finally able to put him in a wheelbarrow and took him to a hospital where he was...

... rejected because "he was already dead" unfazed we moved him to another hospital where he met the same treatment this was where he bled his last drops of blood and died, his body has now been moved to a morgue...

...we have lost every single thing we own, as our house was completely ransacked and set on fire the only thing left is my brothers phone and at about 8 o'clock this evening the barracks was still on fire but Okechukwu has paid with the ultimate price...

...I and my mother are homeless with nothing now but we're safe for now, we thank everyone that has been able to reach out to us, and were able to share consoling words with us in these trying times, God bless you...

While we were holed up in the house the three of us said these words together and we say it again " THREE OF US ARE HERE, THREE OF US ARE TOGETHER, THREE OF US ARE SAFE"...

Let it be known that my brother @O_Okee was NOT killed by a police bullet but died a hero protecting my mother and I.

If you see this please retweet, let the world know how Okechukwu died. He was NOT killed by a police bullet but thugs in his home!

We can choose to tow the line of dialogue or approach our present conundrum with irrationality.

When the dust settles we will begin to see that perhaps, burning the country and ushering a state of anarchy is the worst approach we can choose to effect real change.

Most of you here are downright evil.
I mean you can't tell yourself the truth.

The day all this started. We all saw government officials and police driving thugs around. Directing them on what to do.

That same evening. We all saw soldiers live opening fire on protesters.

After that we all saw live videos of protesters on hospital floors with doctors performing emergency surgeries.

With all this evidence all of you are still painting protesters who never raised a finger black.
Like how deranged do you guys have to be?

As a government you hired thugs and conveyed them in government vehicles and police vans to course havoc.

Then you want your people to come begging you?

You don't throw a lighter into a tank of gasoline and expect it to freeze.

You guys should keep supporting injustice. One day you will be cought in the crossfire.

I agree with the guy you quoted. The onus lies on those who allege that an incident occured to show the evidence, the onus doesn't lie on those that deny it occured to debunk. You cannot give them an onus they don't have. People have been saying that a massacre occured, this has been debunked by the very people who they claim died. The protesters who actually sadly died passed away not from shots by soldiers, but via accidents, attack by hoodlums etc. The video I saw from Lekki shows the soldiers firing into the air.

Nigerian soldiers are far from perfect, and their behavior towards the Shia during their protest marches leaves much to be desired. However, the idea that people will just cook up fake pictures and videos and link it to an alleged Lekki massacre in order to stoke up violence is abhorent.

Lekki Massacre: 48 Hours After, Dead Bodies Still ‘Invisible’-PRNigeria Investigation

48 hours after it was reported that soldiers deployed by the Nigerian Army allegedly shot and killed innocent #EndSARS agitators in Lekki, a suburb in Lagos State, PRNigeria‘s investigation still could not identify even a single victim of the massacre who died during the incident.

Some social media reports have claimed that in the Lekki area of the state, armed soldiers, on Tuesday, allegedly shot sporadically at some #EndSARS protesters, killing dozens of persons in the process.

Many protesters, according to the reports, were said to have sustained bullet wounds as a result of the attack that suddenly came just after the billboard on the tollgate and the streetlights around the premises were switched off.

However, PRNigeria reported that Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the State Governor, yesterday said no death was recorded in Tuesday night attack in the Lekki toll gate area of the State.

He confirmed the development in a live broadcast Wednesday morning, saying two critically wounded victims had been operated on and were in stable condition while others with “mild to moderate” cases are still receiving treatments at various hospitals in the area.

Sanwo-Olu, who admitted that soldiers opened fire during the #EndSARS protest at the Lekki toll gate area in a bid to disperse them, said he engaged the leadership of the Nigerian Army on the development.

Many of the people reported to have been killed in the Lekki Protest have since came out to debunk such reports.

A Nollywood movie star Eniola Badmus, who was allegedly shot in the stomach and died at the Lekki Toll Gate has denied the social media reports. Posting on her Instagram, Eniola wrote “Against all speculations about me being shot or dead at the unspeakable incident that happened at the toll gate a few hours ago, I would like to inform you guys that I Eniola Badmus is hale and hearty. I couldn’t make it there today to lend my voice on the #endsars movement.” (https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/eniola-badmus-says-reports-of-her-being-shot-at-lekki-tollgate-are-false/yebpl6b)

A photo of a man carrying a dead lady wrapped in Nigerian flag as posted by Yemi Alade was an image from a movie acted with a theme, “Heal our land, OH LORD!” https://www.trendsmap.com/twitter/tweet/1318864211037048832

A young man, Iraoya Godwin, a native of Otuo-Auchi, Edo state who was reported to have been killed also at the Lekki Toll Gate has posted a video on twitter denying the report. https://twitter.com/i/status/1318872511736614913

There is a trending video of corpse of Comrade Anthony Okechukwu, a former student of Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike Abia State. It is discovered that the young man died in a road accident and not at the Lekki Gate. https://www.facebook.com/abigailyong.za

There was also a video of one Lucy Adu who was celebrated as martyr at LekkiMasacre after dancing in the clip. Some of the social media posts celebrating her ‘martyrdom’ read: ”She was dancing an hour before she was murdered by the Nigerian armed forces Lucy was her name Pensive face#endsars – a bullet hit her in the face and ripped half her face off.”

Latest investigation shows that Lucia Adu died from an accident with a stationary truck on 20th October 2020. Her death was not from a gunshot by anyone. This is also confirmed by a new fact-checking twitter handle on EndSARS https://twitter.com/EndSARSFctCheck

Meanwhile, PRNigeria Editorial team could not get authenticated footages of the bullet-ridden bodies from the alleged LekkiMassacre from credible media sources and EndSARS activists. Yet, two days after the alleged LekkiMassacre, no single family member has reported to security agencies or the media of the death of their loved ones in the incident.

Checks by PRNigeria revealed that not even a single protester allegedly killed during the Lekki incident was reported, even as no single corpse of the massacred protesters was taken to any hospital in the state, as of Wednesday night.

The Assistant Editor, PRNigeria, Mahmood Abdulsalam said “So far, most of the footages we have collected, over 100 in all, showing dead protesters and several others wounded, when we subject them to our reverse imagery testing tools, indicated they are not recent while others are manipulated images and doctored videos. We also observe circulations of old pictures of victims injured and killed during violent skirmishes, unrelated to the #EndSARS demonstrations, across the country.”
