dohyn:It is not a racial issue but ideals. Trump's approach to trade negates that of the WTO and NOI. He has a narrow view on trade which has worked for him a lot. The US must have studied NOI to understand her approach which they have found not to align with Trump's. Given the chance, they will to bring someone who will favour them onboard. It is more of interest and not some colour or racial issue. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Starzo:China declared after the US had taken a position. China is supporting for several reasons: Nigeria is a good partner in trade. The WTO has 3 DDGs... Presently, a Nigerian, a Chinese and an American. The WTO rules say that an American must be a DDG at all times, the other two can be rotated. If China roots for the Asian, they lose their DDG-seat, meaning the Nigerian, and indeed Africa will lose the seat if NOI is chosen DG. JAPAN has strained-trade relationship with S. Korea so the countries don't do each other favours. NOI is close to Zoellick and top Democrats and globalists (that's not meaning she is a Democrat o)..that's why Trump doesn't want her. 7 Likes |

fergie001:Yes, he wants a stalemate. He doesn't care about world trade. It's naive to think US interests will change with Biden. Interests is permanent. It was under Obama that NOI lost the World Bank Presidency to a poorly qualified medical doctor from Korea with American passport. Interests will not change. Her hope is China. China must back her to the hilt. 5 Likes |

Where is the lie? At least you can't call him racist as he wasn't racist. All in all, NOI is winning this and nothing will stop her. gaetano: |

linearity:DO NOT ABUSE THE WORD 'VETO'. The United States already vetoed (negated or opposed) her candidature. All that is left is to flex the power, which I am not sure they have the power to do. I am not knowledgeable as to what happens when a candidate is opposed during the WTO selection process but the one thing I know is that the US will frustrate NOI if they cannot remove her. It is always about interest to the US. 4 Likes |

Koulture:Don't Mind the Ones in Nigeria. They don't know what's at stake. IF that MAN is reelected, every Nigerian Family with Brothers and Sisters in the US should be prepared to receive dia relatives at Nigeria's airports permanently. People have termed him MESSIAH of the Christians. FOOLs, always presenting demselves 4 brainwashing. Point of Correction. It's the IGBOS in Nigeria and not the IGBOS in the US. 1 Like 1 Share |

Sanchez01:Don't be dumb! "veto" is an official action which the US hasn't taken yet in order to give room for more consultations. The US can still accept her candidacy without formal voting later in November. However, the suggestion of Walker and his colleagues is not the final step of the process as some members can veto their suggestion, which the U.S. now threatened to do. |

Sanchez01: The same way you will tell yourself suspension of 'green card' applications for Nigerians based outside the USA has been suspended indefinitely is based on logic and clear reason. Nigeria is the LARGEST source of 'black skin' in the world! If you want to reduce the increase of the black race in America from EXTERNAL sources, just prevent Nigerians from permanently migrating officialy. He is a racist like no other and almost all his decisions have this as the main driver beneath the surface. 4 Likes 1 Share |

This is why lobby power IS important. Nigerian-Americans are in America eating burger and growing fat. Zero lobby power in Washington. They don't care about getting lobbyists to work for their interest both in America and in Nigeria. They just go to school to earn a decent American salary. A sad case of myopia. Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and a few middle East countries have mastered this. You want America to work for your interests.? Fund their politicians. And it's perfectly legal. 6 Likes 1 Share |
