I can assure you everything will be fine. Some accounts get opened within same day.
Please also note that account opening process initiated during weekends and holidays gets attention on next business day.
It's like orna don "slim fit" the interest rate of VGIF again o. About 4% now.

Kindly check my reply. I mentioned ARM Holdings

A supposed fund manager with numerous funds in money market, REIT, Eurobond, fixed income can't have just one Trustee. Each fund will have different Trustees. Depending on size of the fund, you can even have 2 Trustees. United Capital Trustee and FBN Quest Trustee are the Trustees to the Real Estate Investment Trust of UPDC, where rental income of almost N2.5 billion is distributed among 2000 investors every year, property and liquid cash worth N30 billion are honestly managed with the supervision of SEC for the investors

Anybody can open a trust account with a Trustee to ensure your children, family, you, business partners are not cheated or they cheat you, that doesn't make the arrangement SEC compliant.

Bros na SDF review things o. Currently sdf is 4.5% and since VGIF is benchmarked with sdf the current guaranteed rate is 4.5%. No forget you go still chop extra o above the guaranteed rate that is why it's good to stay with VGIF.

Good morning and thanks for that eye-opener, I REALLY appreciate

I think they are leveraging on the Trustees of ARM Holding Limited and all other resources and processes they take

Please note that their 3 offerings are

Fixed Income (Dollar): 12 months at 12%
Real Estate (Dollar): 12 months at 17%
Stock (Dollar): High risk, returned 27% last year

Please note that account transfers are received with Providus Bank

Do you have a problem with that? The new owners are taking charge of the business, management and the board

Yes work is on it. It will be credited and for those with reinvest option it will be posted with the reinvest value date as 1st of January.
The extra is not paid immediately it will be in some months later. The extra for first half of 2020 ie Jan to June was paid Dec, 22nd 2020.

I looked them up and their site says they are registered with the US SEC as they deal in US securities. I haven’t verified this on the US SEC’s website o but their registration number is on their site.

It also says that they have a Lagos State Co-operative license and that under this license Lagos State government audits their operations. Again, I haven’t verified this o but the license number is on their site.

To be very frank, there are two issues that I have with them.

1. These returns they are offering are clearly unrealistic. The best US fund managers are not making returns anywhere near these. Especially for fixed income and real estate. It is clearly high risk.

2. Looking at the guys behind it, I’m not convinced that they have the experience to handle retail funds. These are just some young chaps with little/no experience in investing huge sums of money. That’s a red flag.

While I have my reservations, you just never know. They may end up doing very well...

Why does this take such a long time?. We are now in IT age and things are even faster in Nigeria with BVN.

Do not even also see why those with payment option should take time if actually interest is accrued on a daily basis.

These are their real official rates

Eurobond:10–12% Guaranteed low risk investment
US Real estate: 13–15% Mid risk investment (not capped) last year recorded 17%
US Stocks: 12–14% High risk investment (not capped) last year recorded 23%

Almost 90% of the Fintechs Springing up now are owned by Young Chaps, as against the Old Chaps who are basically running Brick and Mortar Banks

Can you verify the US SEC and Lagos State Co-operative license?

I make some investigation into the Eurobonds and Real Estate

It's not jazz. Most agrictech investors have never been to a farm or know the process it takes to plant and harvest yam. so if they see 30% in 4 months they jump at it. Goathq just gave someone only 5% of their 2m investment after 9 months of keeping the funds You cant keep investors money for 9 months only to announce regrets 4 days to payment date. 5% guaranteed at the end of March means 5% in 9months basically., JV rice extended their duration to 10months of an initial 7months rice farm.

I remember one of them asking for my input about a farm, and I simply told him ask the agritech to show your their farm, ask the CEO if he ever tilted the ground before, he thanked me after they agrictech could not even show him their farm couple with the fact that the CEO was a know Ponzi Legend in Nigeria.

Somehow I benefited from the crowd funding associated with these Agritech coys. When treasury went under I quickly divested, pushing in my hard earned cash and valha, I made good money!

My last two are due and I'll be cashing out tomorrow and before 23rd January. I owed it all to God.

Am already out and I have delved into real estate.

What do you think would sell this year 2021 that one could venture into?

Thanks.

It’s one thing to develop applications and another to invest people’s hard earned money. I was talking about the investing part. You don’t just give hard earned money to people with questionable track records to invest in the capital market.

Some of the young fintech chaps actually have solid backgrounds. Paga’s Tayo Oviosu (Stanford MBA, Cisco, Travant), Lydia’s Tunde Kehinde (Harvard MBA, Investment Banking, Jumia founder), Aella’s Akinola Jones (Investment Banking background) are just a few. So it’s not about their age.

But the Rise guys? I have looked them up and I’m sorry I don’t think they have the background and track record to invest retail money. My opinion sha.

Will let you know if I can verify their US SEC registration.

How did you come to the conclusion that they have little or no experience? Just because they are young?

You guys should be extremely careful with these local and foreign fund managers, there are still many Bernie Madoff in America operating full time with impunity. Fund managers and phony banks everywhere you go.. na waoo.

Good morning, Nairalanders!

I am a graduate for over seven (7) years with no job. And as the Nigeria economy is becoming tough everyday, I have no option than to learn a new skill (graphics design) last year to do freelance jobs on Upwork & Fiverr.

I've bought a London used Laptop with my little savings. But the only problem is that I don't have an Android phone to browse and also connect the laptop to the internet. I am typing this post with TECNO T542 java phone.

Please your little assistance will be a help to my career. My account number is 3161761577 YOUNG Z. (FIRST BANK)

Thanks

Go to your Pastor or Imam. In the event you don't have any of such, keep the laptop for now and locate any building site around you to do "pkon-pkon" or "laybukay". In the event you don't have any of such, visit the nearest bus stop and speak to any driver to be his condotor.
