Hi guys please forgive me for late update am just too busy within the week.. working 7:30 -7:30 So I got their feeds feeds today CHIKUN STARTER cuz I was told that @4weeks that grower size is too much for them and might revert to waste so I bought ½bag of the starter @2800 (against my 1bag intention) a drinker and their feeder @400 each.. Summing #3600 then the seller suggested that I should take the anti coccidiosis @400 which I didn't reject not because I want to use it currently but the exp. date is 2024, so am sure it willbe finished before then... So far, Chicks @4weeks #700*10=7000 Feeding 4k Exp. So far= 11k Note: we just relocated to our own house after 19yrs of been a tenant so am using a spare room for this I really need your advice and suggestions in other not to make a costly mistake 4 Likes 2 Shares

As usual disappointment set in... The supplier called this morning telling me that he couldn't find a bus coming to Enugu state from Osun state. He gave me an option of refund or I should wait till Wednesday when he will be going to Ibadan to deliver to another customer so he can equally send mine together, I settled with the second option though because about 4 booking centres around me deals in 50 or 25 noiler birds which I can't manage. ;DThe long awaited day is here, the chicks arrived safely from Ibadan to Nsukka Enugu state. Am so happy to see them though I was worried because they didn't eat anything from 9:00am to 10:03 pm yesterday when the driver called to inform me of their arrival but it was too late for me so I had to wait till this morning (6:11am) to go pick them and to my greatest surprise, all were safe and sound. The journey officially begins today 21-01-2021 (save the date for me) I wish and pray for success all along A sad day will always be forgotten by just watching these chicks. kennethfranc:Noilers are very strong. I have four of them in my backyard poultry and they grow faster than cockerels. 6 Likes |

Aderr:I love the fact that they grow bigger than cockerels and equally lays enough eggs but their market is too poor imagine someone pricing a 4months Noiler rooster #1500... For me its not the best and if I get the same option, I will have no other option than to switch to "Rhode Island" layers 3 Likes 1 Share |

Hello guys I feel to update u guys on my adventure. The fowls are doing fine sofar just that I feel I was cheated by the supplier because due to his delay, he promised to give the chicks @5weeks but my issue is that there size are not uniform at all one male looks +5weeks while some look 4weeks and the smallest two (I can't ascertain there age). As for feed waste, they sabi am wella, I had to raise the feeder up but still it didn't stop them from resting on it. So far, I can't say that they eat too much because the half CHIKUN feed I bought they haven't eaten ¼ of it (though it might be because they aren't much). Please I need your suggestion on the best way to manage this issue of them deficating into their drinker... I've tried my best by raising it a bit from the floor but the shit just keeps reoccurring I need your suggestions pls 2 Likes

kennethfranc: On the issue raised, the most probable solution is to get any of the hanging drinkers. They are best designed for deep-litter system. Sorry for the late response. 5 Likes |

Currently they are officially 7 weeks of age and are on there CHIKUN Grower feed. GOOD NEWS Am adding 50 easter broilers to the farm 5 Likes |

VITAPEARL:Yes sir. I placed a roofing sheet on top of the drinker and then a piece of block on top of the roofing sheet, so any poo will be on top of the roofing sheet 4 Likes |

Good evening all, it's been a while ooo So far so good, the journey has been nice. The chicks are doing pretty well, the size are just increasing that's all I can say. I just wish I had a scale at this point to take note of their weight but nothing spoil. This my Noilers can waste feeds ooo Few weeks ago, i was amazed on thier rate of feeding as it increased by about 40%, little did I know that the feeds were just wasting with the wood shavings, so today I had all my time today to observe them today just to see them pouring it by mounting on the feeder. This thing pain me to the point that I removed the feeder and to my greatest surprise, I saw them scratching the floor picking the feeds which I have never seen for the 3weeks they have been in my care BTW they are 7weeks+4days old Hope am doing well? 4 Likes
