Technology Market / Re: I Have Been Defrauded/dumped Of Huge Some By Imposters Here: by potato(m): 5:31pm On Oct 20, 2011
MarleyGab thanks for ur concern, i'll email you later.
Odunnu, like i said i haven't resolved it yet. The person i spoke with claimed to be working for COMMUNET, the number I called was based on the thread started by enqirydon:08035057766 was picked by one chima who claimed to be responsible for the post, mind you i've neither met nor spoken with enquirydon, so there was no way i could've imagined that it was a scam, he later started calling with these nos:08068271111 I still need anyone that could assist to pls do. I thought that enquirydon would be more interested in unravelling the mystery, if i were in his position, someone hijacked my handle to commit crime/scam, i would do all within my powers to see how to help out, and forestall future occurance instead of being abusive and uncivil, i am based in enugu, so am not in competition with enquirydon or whoever might be at the computer village. Regards to you all as i await ur suggestions and help. The person(s) that are involved have taken all my problems past, present and future with them in Jesus name, Amen cry

Thanks everyone for your responses. I was not around in a while that was why I had not responded. The person called me back that same day I posted this topic in the evening hiding his number, what a cowardly act. His speech: " So you have finally made good your threat, you think the police will save you? If you like go to EFCC, nothing will happen, since thats the way u chose to do it!!!"
@enquirydon, there was no need for the abuses, i didnt come to smear or destroy ur business, i said that i got the informtion based on what was posted using ur handle and i called one of the numbers that was given, unfortunately someone picked and started calling with different numbers, At least I expected a better and matured replies from you, mind you am not in Lagos, so we are not competitors, in any case I dont sell accessories, we needed them for our office, All the curses I have already rejected in Jesus name, Amen. I still have the bank tellers with the person's full names. Mega, I will mail you later.I dont have access to be reponding instantly but i will try to respond to logical and non abusive posts.

Please guys I havent been making/posting here for a while, but have been reading the posts here.
Then the problem started last month when i decided to buy external Hard Disk for the 5,000 naira/piece, the topic started by EnquiryDon.
Before now I never believed that imposters/fraudsters were here.
I called one of the numbers, one someone answered, he started sending me quotations on what they sell(Computer and accessories). He said his name is Chima.
I was convinced, I sent him 53,000 naira for 10 pieces with three thousand being haulage/courier cost.
Initially I paid 23,000 for 4 pieces as samples, later i was told that they sent 10 erroneously, before i could be given the EMS tracking numbers I should pay for the outstanding six(6) as that was the only criteria for them to release the nos to me.
He gave me all the assurances as I suspected foul play, initially he refused giving me his oga's numbers but had to give them when i insisted that was the only criteria for me to send them. I confirmed from the oga that they needed the 30,000 naira to affect the change. The first payment(23,000 naira) was on the 12th of Sept 2011, and the second (30,000 naira)on the 23rd of September.
Awuzie Chukwuma was the Payee, the bank BankPHB.
The first payment sent me the notification purporting to be from EMS that transaction has taken place between the company(COMUNET) and me.
After paying the last sum I was told by Chima that his oga needed to confirm the payment b4 sending me the nos. Now both him and his oga have barred my numbers.
I called these numbers initially:
08035057766.
Chima answered the calls and later started calling with : 08068271111
He neither receives nor returns my calls anymore.
I only talk to him when i use pay phone in which case he will tell me to call back or asks if his oga has not sent the numbers to me.
Please nairalanders what do you advice me to do?
Jokes Etc / Barking Beagles And Blondes: by potato(m): 5:10pm On Nov 08, 2007
A husband and his blonde wife were in bed asleep. About 2 AM they both awoke to the neighbors dog barking extremely loudly,

After lying there for the next 30 minutes unable to go to sleep, she tells her husband to go do something about the barking dog. He tells her he has tried to tell the dog to be quiet before and the dog always continues to bark!

There's nothing HE can do,

After another 15 minutes of barking, in frustration, the blonde wife retorts,"Well, if you won't do anything, I WILL!"

She jumps out of bed and disappears outside. A few minutes later she is back in bed.

The husband sat up in bed, and still hears the dog barking. He asks, "I thought you said you could fix the barking problem, I still hear him barking!"

She replies, "I DID fix the problem! I tied the dog in OUR yard! LET'S SEE HOW THE NEIGHBORS LIKE THAT!"
Jokes Etc / It Is The Right Thing To Be Honest And Ethical by potato(m): 5:06pm On Nov 08, 2007
A butcher, who had had a particularly good day, proudly flipped his last chicken on a scale and weighed it. "That will be $6.35," he told the customer.

"That's a good price, but it really is a little too small," said the woman. "Don't you have anything larger?"

Hesitating, but thinking fast, the clerk returned the chicken to the refrigerator, paused a moment, then took it out again.

"This one," he said faintly, " will be $6.65."

The woman paused for a moment, then made her decision,

"You know what," she said, "I'll take both of them!"
Jokes Etc / Masculin, Feminin: by potato(m): 5:03pm On Nov 08, 2007
Male or Female? You might not have known this, but a lot of non-living objects are actually either male or female. Here are some examples:

FREEZER BAGS
They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

PHOTOCOPIERS
These are female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again.

They are an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong buttons.

TIRES
Tires are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated.

HOT AIR BALLOONS
Also a male object, because to get them to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under their butt.

SPONGES
These are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain water.

WEB PAGES
Female, because they're constantly being looked at and frequently getting hit on.

TRAINS
Definitely male, because they always use the same old lines for picking up people.

HOURGLASS
An hourglass is female because, over time, all the weight shifts to the bottom.

HAMMERS
Male, because in the last 5000 years, they've hardly changed at all, and are occasionally handy to have around.

THE REMOTE CONTROL
Female. Ha! You probably thought it would be male, but consider this: It easily gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know which buttons to push, he just keeps trying

Guys, my friend who is based in europe asked me to enquire if any one would be interested to do car business with him. The person will pay for everything and he will send the vehicle to him/her. He doesnt have much capital, so he will be like a middle man for the buyer and seller. Mostly used cars he could source and provide. Cheers
