there is no problem with your sponsor being in america, my sponsor is also in america and i got the visa the hard way.
I will advise you apply to a university instead of college and write standard test even if the school waived them. it shows that you are a serious student.
after getting the visa you can transfer to any community college of choice. GOODLUCK My two cents though Thanks a lot pls When u say" hard way,'pls do u mean u experience denials or do u mean the process wasn't easy. 1 Like |

Good day everyone ,I need ur opinion on this.My sponsor wants me to go for community colleges because is far cheaper. Her plan Is for me to start in a community college and then transfer to a uni,So I chose a college close to her home. The college has a great standard (Georgia Military College). The college does not require any standardized test.My sponsor is based in America, we don't have the same surname though.I'm coming clean becos I want u guys opinion, thank u. |

Not advisable and a very long process ........ In many cases you have to pay for a lawyer and all that stress . Best to always get the appropriate visa from beginning Hello MA, my name is precious, pls I sent you a question to your mail, I hope you saw it, I will really appreciate your contributions and opinion. |

I do not have an idea but will you let us know the name of your school so we won't apply to it as I know most schools don't ask for high school transcript or are you going for undergraduate degree? I'm going for an undergraduate degree |

Send both.
WAEC should send a copy of your SSCE results to your school. Your high school should also send your transcript - that would contain all classes you took all through your high school, including each grade. That is what I think they want to see. Thank you very much |

Hello everyone, pls I need advice my school sent me an email which goes thus "pls provide us with a copy of your original high school transcript we have received the evaluated one"(The evaluated copy was sent to them by wes) pls I need advice on how to send it to the school, why I need advice is because Waec office sent the result the last time to wes which then sent the evaluated copy to the School, I don't know if it is still duty of Waec to send the result directly to the school, or whether it is the duty of my high school.I will appreciate your advice, pls those who have experienced such should also air their opinions |

Kukaman: Hello house, a friend of mine asked me I it's advisable to book for interview date before paying his SEVIS fee since he already got his I20 and looking for who to assist in paying the SEVIS fee. In my opinion I will advise him to go ahead, but he should ensure that the Sevis fee must be paid at least 3 days before the interview date he picks.(I will suggest he use western union to pay for his SEVIS fee. |

Actually having sponsor in U.S has a downside too. What's your tie to Nigeria? I will worry about this question but not the state your sponsor resides. What about my parents and siblings who are in Nigeria, could they proof I have strong ties to home,if yes is there any document (or documents) that can show this. |

tboii: I have been a silent follower here..My visa was approved at the Lagos consulate this morning 6:30am by a lady in window. 7.. I applied for a community college and got admitted , tho some guys here said community colleges are red flag..but all I noticed is be genuine with your ds 160 , prepare well and pray for favor
Vo: good morning Me: smile( good morning ) V.o: pass me your passport, i20 and sivess Me: passed it V.o: where are you going to in the USA ? Me : am going to Houston community college for my associate degree in applied Horticulture/ horticulture operations V : how did you know about the school ? Me: A lecturer from my previous institution recommended the school V.o: where is your previous institution ? Me: Rufus giwa polytechnic owo, Ondo state V.o: what did you study Me : crop and soil management V.o: Tell me about it Me: crop and soil management is a course that talks about how crops and soil can be managed, crop can be classified into different categories which are roots, harvesting period, leaves, economic importance. Then soils can also be classified into two, the organic and the inorganic soils V.o: what’s your qualification Me: ordinary national diploma V.o: ok, why Horticulture? Me: for the business expansion of my fathers farm by implementing the green house farming system, he deals majorly with the exporting of cocoa so we are trying to diversify. V.o : which country does he export to Me: Ukraine and turkey V ( was busy typing) do you have any immediate relative or distance relative in the USA ? Me: yes ( distance relative ) V.o: uncle or Aunty Me: uncle V.o: what does he do ? V : I don’t know what he does.. we are not closed.. I just know he stays in Maryland V.o: why did you choose community college, why not university ? Me: I want a degree am going to do for 2 years so that I can come back to my fathers farming business and implement what I have learnt, I don’t want a university degree that’s going to last me 4-5 years in the state. V.o: is there no place you can study greenhouse in Nigeria rather than going to the USA. Me: there are places I can here but the method that are being used here can’t be compared to the state. For example in the USA translucid glasses are used to build the green house but here transparent polythene are used and I need to learn the modern design so that I can implement it here.. Vo: have you traveled outside the country Me: no, I don’t have any reason to travel out.. just traveling now because of my schooling V.o: I will be approving your visa.. Bla bla..bla I no even hear anything wey she dey talk again.. just collect my i20 and walked out of the room happy and smiling.. no document was asked I am so happy for you, I also applied to a community college, I will do my best by preparing for the interview may God grant me my visa too. |

Miaanita: hello house,
Pls I was denied visitor visa twice this year, one in January, the other one in October (Me and my mum went, and we were both denied),
I will be planning to go for my Masters next year fall 2018...
Is it advisable to apply again pertaining to my two denials this year....
Pls reply...
HELP!!!!!!!!! I believe u can apply again because you are applying for an entirely different visa which will require different requirements. You will need to know the requirements for an F1visa , fulfill it and prepare For your visa interview, this is my own opinion based on what I have been reading online and from the thread, good luck 1 Like |
