Why are you being upset for? just cos I pointed out the flaws in your borrowed post?

Large swaths of Ghana are facing power blackouts due to gas shortages at a major power facility, the nation’s power operator said, compounding the country’s worst economic crisis in decades.

“Limited gas supply” at a power installation in Tema, located east of the Ghanian capital, Accra, has led to “a supply gap of 550MW at peak time,” the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) said of the power outages in a statement Thursday evening.

Ghana partly relies on natural gas for power generation. The West African nation has battled power outages, known locally as “dumsor” for many years.

“Dumsor is fully back, no announced timetables, no communication, nothing, just frequent random power outages,” one Ghanian said of the latest power cut on X, formerly known as Twitter.

GRIDCo did not say in its statement when electricity would be restored to affected areas. CNN has reached out to the agency for further comment.

Recent studies expect the country’s energy crisis to worsen over the coming years, starting from this year.

Most Nigerians like you don't know to research, read and comprehend things. You just read headlines and conclude.

It's either you don't know how electricity is generated or surprised that small Ghana and Benin has 24/7 light something that can only happen in Nigeria dreams.

Now read this article and let it clear your ignorance.

Disconnect the light and use generator.

Useless Nigerians with entitlement mentality.

How much will you spend on generator fuel for 18hrs if light everyday for 30 days?

so it's a good thing to spend 80% of minimum wage on electricity alone. You do know some people salary isn't up to that.

He complains and you said it's entitlement mentality.

I don't blame I blame the person still feeding and housing you everyday that's why you're here yapping rubbish.

Only for band A which I should remind you form less than 20 percent of consumers here.

Most pay below 100 per kWh. And 40 percent don't even pay anything for power at all.

You might want to call yourself a liar.
liar everyone pays that amount. Even those that don't see light. No one pays below 220kw/h. Prove me wrong and upload your electric bill or anyone you know paying such.

Like I said you all need to be stoned to death.

So why the complaint now?

Not surprised.....the fact is after years of thinking power was cheap, we are waking up to the cold reality.

I'll leave this post i made earlier

The fact is, if we want power, we got to pay for it at high prices. But most of us don't want to because we won't be able to afford the prices needed to kick start the sector.

I didn't need to look far for your usual gaslighting and lies. Electricity bill is more expensive in Nigeria than Ghana. Even China and Singapore.

you spend more on feeding, data and transportation, gadgets and appliances (in fact everything) than the average person in the United States.

The only thing you're spending less on is rent which is negligible (meaning you're paying less for far lower quality).

I am quite happy to know that you are a demon and a chief of legions of demons.

Subsides in the USA are paid from heavy duty taxes, so also a lot of infrastructure and development projects

The problem is, our income from taxes is less than 20% and our income comes mostly from oil money that is enough for a nation less than 10 million, not a country of 200 or more million.

That is how shitty our situation is, and also a part of (not the whole reason) why we got into debt.

You demons should stop bothering us, and you should stop being angry with me, because I am not responsible for Lilith abandoning you for Asmodeus. After all she was always something of a slut.
same oil that the US, Canada , and china produces is not enough for you.? Thunder will fire your hand you're using to type that.

your brain is filled with liquid maggots if I was a demon I wont even accept it to eat.

Just hear yourself taxing people to give them subsidy. That's like taking money from your left to give to your right does that makes any sense to you?

. Tax is used to provide disability and unemployment services mostly for the poor and aging population. The poor doesn't pay taxes.

We are independent. The problem at independence was that

1. A lot of people were poor

2. We needed to educate a lot of people fast.

SO, we had to get money quickly and the only way was by selling raw materials as much as possible.....industrialization takes time, and does not yield cash immediately. Also, there is a prolonged period of hardship before you see progress.

Initially it worked...that's why my papa's generation could go to school for free and get paid for it self....but from the mid 1970's our population began to outgrow the ability of the money we were making to sustain it, and by 1986 we had to accept sap....which showed that our population was way beyond the economy's ability to sustain it.

So, the way forward is to either use our raw materials to make products for the world...which involves things like total removal of subsides to attract investment, widen the tax net, and support industries that export....last one important.

(I did not say we should leave corruption alone, or that t-pain is the best leader in the world.)
I pity your useless life collecting 20k to type essays to gaslight people.

Even rich countries like US still pay subsidy. And tax doesnt fund development project

pay subsidy and provide security= low cost of production= foreign Investment = more employement= development = tax the rich to feed the poor

You APC lots have turned this formula on its head and plunge the country into perpetual suffering
