The song released on August 7 is a blend of era-defining Amapiano log drum with Dance elements which made for an up-tempo party-starting record.

Asake recently released the tracklist for his third album 'Lungu Boy' which will feature guest appearances from Wizkid, Central Cee, Stormzy, and Ludmina.

In 2024, Asake released 'Only Me' and 'Wave' featuring Central Cee which is one of the tracks on the 'Lungu Boy'.

Romance / Secret Of A Happy Home For Women by ProfesawFred(m): 8:03am On Jun 09
Hello guys, today I will be educating us about what we need to make a happy home from a lady's perspective. And am going to be presenting the topic "SECRET OF A HAPPY HOME FOR WOMEN"
The secrets of a Happy Home for Women appears to be a collection of advice aimed at promoting harmonious relationships and marital bliss from a traditional and conservative perspective. I will be listing some here but more is on my page.
Here's a breakdown of each point:

1. No man is perfect - Acceptance and understanding that men have flaws and weaknesses.

2. Men are like children. So be like his mother - Nurturing and caring for your partner like a mother would.

3. Hear quickly; talk slowly - Listen actively and respond thoughtfully to avoid conflicts.

4. Never compete with a man - Avoid rivalries and comparisons, focusing on mutual support instead.

5. Never try to be equal with him - Embrace complementary roles and avoid struggles for dominance.

6. Be fast to apologize when you know you are wrong - Take responsibility and apologize promptly to resolve conflicts.

7. Don't be too jealous with him - Trust and security are essential; excessive jealousy can harm relationships.

8. (No specific point mentioned)

9. Always be honest as a wife - Truthfulness and transparency are vital in a marriage.

10. Never leave your house for a long distance without his permission - Respect and communicate travel plans.

11. Know and prepare his favorite foods - Show love and care through small gestures.

12. Don't let your husband get in the house with a parcel in his hand - Show appreciation and help with carrying burdens.

13. Try to make a budget together - Collaborate on financial decisions.

14. Be his adviser, not a criticizer - Offer supportive guidance rather than criticism.

Remember, these points reflect a traditional and conservative viewpoint, and not all relationships or individuals may align with these perspectives. Healthy relationships prioritize mutual respect, trust, communication, and equality.

Politics / Re: Zulum Resettles IDPs To Nine LGAs, Disburses ₦‎954.7 Million by ProfesawFred(m): 6:32am On Jun 08
Am Profesawfred the one who posted the news. Am a writer and a political analyst.
Let me give my analysis
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
Politically, this move by Governor Zulum can be analyzed in five perspectives as follows:

1. *Strategic Political Move*: Zulum's initiative to resettle IDPs and provide financial support can be seen as a calculated move to boost his political image and garner support from the affected communities.

2. *Federal Government Alignment*: By acknowledging and commending President Tinubu, the Vice President, and NEMA, Zulum is demonstrating his loyalty and alignment with the federal government, potentially strengthening his political ties.

Politics / Zulum Resettles IDPs To Nine LGAs, Disburses ₦‎954.7 Million by ProfesawFred(m): 5:54am On Jun 08
Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has flagged off the resettlement of internally displaced persons to nine local government councils while also disbursing N954.7 million for their rehabilitation and supporting them in getting a source of livelihood.

About 12,985 comprising 4,880 male heads of household, 1,230 female heads of household, 6,875 married women and other family members were earmarked to be resettled in the nine councils, in the first phase, those to be resettled are to communities in six councils of Bama, Konduga, Gwoza, Kukawa, Jere and Ngala.
Each of the 4,880 male heads of household and another 1,230 female heads of household received N100,000, while about 6,875 married women each received N50,000 cash.

Zulum noted that while cash support was distributed, 6,875 married women also received maize, rice, and mattresses, including mats, oil, and kitchen utensils.
Zulum also stated that the food items distributed were part of the federal government’s support for the state.

According to him, “This food item we are giving to the returnees is from NEMA. A few days ago, we lunched the distribution of food items donated to the government of Borno by the federal government at Pulka.”

He added that: “I want to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I want to commend the office of the Vice President, I also want to commend NEMA for partnering with us to ensure sustainable resettlement of the IDPs in this very important camp.”

Politics / Only Implememntation Of Agreement Will Stop Us From Embarking On Strike- Nlc by ProfesawFred(m): 10:49am On Mar 04
THE Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, insisted yesterday that the only thing that would stop the planned nationwide strike over the hardship in the country was the federal government’s honouring of the agreement it had with labour.

This was contained in the latest letter written to the government, where in the NLC dismissed claims by the federal government that it had fulfilled 80 per cent of the October 2, 2023, agreement with organised labour.
NLC in the letter dated February 29, 2024, asked the government to come out clean on any part of the agreement it fully fulfilled, warning that resorting to propaganda and disinformation was heightening restiveness among the citizens. In the letter addressed to the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, NLC’s Acting General Secretary, Ismail Bello, advised the government to, between now and March 13, 2024, deadline, fast-track the process of implementation of the agreement and avoid a looming industrial crisis.

The letter, titled “Has the government truly implemented the October 2, 2023, agreement,” reads: “We write to bring to your attention our concerns regarding the implementation of the October 2, 2023 agreement.

“Your statement suggesting that the government has fulfilled 80 per cent of the said agreement has raised a lot of worries among our members. ”As key stakeholders to that agreement, we feel compelled to address this issue as it may mislead the public and undermine the trust that ought to exist between the government and the Nigerian people especially that which ought to exist between us as social partners.

“Upon careful examination of the 15 points outlined in the October 2, 2023, agreement, it is evident that most of them have not been fully met. “Furthermore, the few that were supposedly being addressed have been implemented in breach. Allow us to highlight these examples and we would be happy to be contradicted in any of them.

“The first item on the agreement is the N35,000 wage award. We hope that you still remember that by the end of January this year, the federal government had only paid just one month of the four months due to workers. It took pressures from us before some additional months were paid this month. ”However, it still remains in arrears and has caused undue financial strain on affected workers nationwide. The Port Harcourt Refinery has yet to resume production, despite assurances to the contrary.

”As we write, despite the firm pledge that products will start flowing out of that refinery latest December 2023, nothing has happened. If a litre or a truck load of product has left the refinery to the pumps, Nigerians would be glad to know.

“The promised N25,000 cash transfers to 15 million poor households have not materialized. Rather, all manner of sad tales verging on deep corruption and other mal-feasance have emerged from its management, substantiating our earlier fears on the nature of the social register.

“Tax waivers for workers, small businesses and general public, which was supposed to reduce hardship on the populace have not been implemented, further burdening them financially.”

Education / We Will Shut Down Universities Across Nigeria In 7 Days - SSANU President by ProfesawFred(m): 10:01am On Mar 04
Mohammed Ibrahim, the President of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), has threatened that the union alongside the Non-academic Staff Union of Education…
Mohammed Ibrahim, the President of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), has threatened that the union alongside the Non-academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions (NASU) will shut down the universities in the country if the government refuses to grant their demands in the next seven days.

He disclosed this while speaking as a guest on Channels TV’s Sunday Politics.

Ibrahim said a 7-day ultimatum which will start counting from Monday (today) had been issued to the Federal Government, threatening that the two bodies would embark on a total strike if nothing was done by the government at the end of the ultimatum.

He said there would be a total shutdown of the universities if members of the non-academic staff went on strike, saying: “We are in charge of security, we are in charge of administration, we are in charge of medicals, we are in charge of hostels, we are in charge of electricity, we are in charge of everything apart from teaching. So, once our members down tools, no university can function in Nigeria.”

“It’s quite unfortunate. No union member wants to go on strike but when you are pushed to the wall, what would you do? You have to push back.

“You can see what is happening in the country. The economy is in dundrums and everybody is suffering. Most of our universities are located far outside the township and our members have to commute every day. Fuel cannot be accessed, food is scarce, our medicals can not be attended to, and members are suffering quite clearly,”
he added.

Speaking about the union’s grievances, the SSANU President said, “It’s quite absurd that we have to speak like this and it is because we have been clearly shown that we do not matter in the system while we all know that there is no university that can function without the non-teaching staff.

“We are populated by professionals, we oil the engine in the administration of every university and therefore treating a segment of staff with disdain does not speak well of the system. smiley

Celebrities / Moment When Sisi Quadri Was Burried In Osun by ProfesawFred(m): 12:53pm On Mar 03
The remains of Nollywood actor Tolani Oyebamiji aka Sisi Quadri who died on Friday, 1 March, has been buried in his hometown in the Agbowo area of Iwo.

Sisi died after a brief illness at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso.

Marufudeen Lawal, the chairman of the Odun chapter of Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), said the deceased would be missed by his colleagues in the entertainment industry because of his endowed talents.

Lawal said the actor’s body was brought from Ogbomoso on Friday before his internment and prayers were offered at an open field close to his house.

He said the late Nollywood actor played major roles in the industry that would not make his lovers and followers forget about him easily.

“His death was shocking to us because we never knew he would pass away. He did not inform us about his sickness, we would have assisted him.

“We expressed our condolences to his family and loved ones and the entire state,” Lawal said

According to him, plans were on to partner with state governors to ensure that their colleagues benefitted from their Health insurance schemes.

He, therefore, called on Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun to support TAMPAN members by ensuring they all enrolled on the state’s Health Insurance Schemes, which would greatly benefit them.

Meanwhile, Governor Ademola Adeleke described the late actor as a “great talent” who brought laughter and heartwarming moments to audiences.
