Germany refugee riot injures 15 after Koran defaced
A brawl among asylum seekers in a German town injured 15 after an Afghan tore pages from the Koran. Around 100 refugees took part in the riot at the shelter in Thüringen, which was previously criticised for overcrowding.

Four police officers and 11 asylum seekers were injured in a brawl in the town of Suhl in Thüringen Wednesday evening sparked by a dispute over the Koran.
An Afghan tore out pages from the Koran at a refugee shelter, prompting anger from 20 other residents, said a police spokesman Thursday.
The confrontation escalated into a riot involving some 100 refugees, with 125 police officers sent to the scene to break up the brawl, it was reported.
Police then came under attack from the refugees and were pelted with sticks and stones, with two officers so badly injured that they are currently unable to return to their duties, while seven police vehicles were damaged.
It took four hours to bring the situation under control. The Afghan was taken into police custody for his own safety.
Police are investigating charges of breach of the peace, assault and criminal damage.
Refugee home previously threatened with closure over building defects
The refugee home has already been criticized in the past. Jens Triebel, the mayor of Suhl, threatened to close the shelter at the beginning of August over the building's structural defects.
After the defects were fixed, the threat of closure was taken off the table, but overcrowding at the home remained an issue.
A lack of space was the trigger for another brawl at the shelter at the beginning of August, with refugees forced to sleep in the passageways.
The Refugee Council has called on the state government to build another shelter for asylum seekers.
Bodo Ramelow, state prime minister for Thüringen and a member of the Left party, told radio station Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk Info (MDR) that there should be separate refugee accommodation for different ethnic groups.
The police union (GdP) demanded an immediate crisis summit. In the face of the extremely tense situation in many refugee homes, effective measures must be taken, said deputy federal chairman of the GdP Jörg Radek Thursday in Berlin.
“The riots in Suhl has to send alarm bells ringing in terms of policy," he said.
Overcrowded accommodation and lack of privacy have led to conflicts “over the smallest things,” which can quickly tip over into violence, said Radek.
Thüringen's Migration Minister Dieter Lauinger from the Green Party has announced that he will visit the shelter in Suhl on Thursday morning.

This news has been trending all over today and i'm actually surprised the New York Times printed this piece or allowed it to be printed.
Reading the comments on some papers, a few more people have done the hard work of moving their mouse with their hands and googled the Quranic passages (4:3, 4:24 and 33:50) and become more knowledgeable as a result instead of just accepting the normal liberal spin that ISIS are not muslims.

I expect the usual dissimulation that follows (context, interpretation, and "do you speak Arabic" or as one commenter tried to do some moral equivalence (christians do it to look at Numbers 31).

Quick question slightly off topic. I have an issue with my oil pressure switch on A2 1.4 petrol. Its leaking oil so bad and tried to change it last week only to find out that the block has split somewhat. The local machining guys will not weld it (too risky, not enough meat so to speak), was told i could use liquid metal to plug the hole and with the oil pressure switch in place.

Any other ideas?

Yes you can change the gear whilst in motion. That's the idea, but even you know you would not downshift in a manual car from say 4th or 5th or even 6th gear to 2nd gear when going at such speeds of 120Km/h! You're asking for trouble when you do that.....

Surah 71 does not tell me any history or detailed accounts of the flood. Such a huge event that happened on earth, Allah the all knowing and wise doesn't seem to have the details, yet the bible is corrupt!

They were under two of Our righteous servants, yet they betrayed them, in [their] religion, for they both disbelieved — Noah’s wife, called Wāhila, used to say to his people that he was a madman, while Lot’s wife, called Wā‘ila, used to tell his people the whereabouts of his guests when they stayed with him, at night by lighting a fire, and during the day by making smoke. So they, that is, Noah and Lot, did not avail the two women in any way against God, against His chastisement, and it was said, to the two women: ‘Enter, both of you, the Fire along with the incomers’, from among the disbelievers of the peoples of Noah and Lot.

According to this verse of the Quran, Noah's wife and Lot's wife are in hell because they disobeyed their husbands!!! Their names were not mentioned in the bible...Where did Al-Jalalayn get the names from and how come the names are similar?

Gen 19:15-17

15 When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, “Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.” 16 And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city. 17 So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he[a] said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” 18 Then Lot said to them, “Please, no, my lords! 19 Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die.

I studied Gen 6 to Gen 11, chapter for chapter and nowhere was it written that Noah's wife ever disobeyed him. Lot's wife disobeyed the angel of God and not Lot. She disobeyed a command not to look behind her and she did.

In this case, the Quran is false with these accounts.

Then he mentioned something that I do not remember, then he said: "When you see them, then pledge your allegiance to them even if you have to crawl over the snow, for that is the caliph of Allah, Mahdi."Sunan Ibn Majah 4084

And clearly more and more people are pledging allegiance to Al-Baghdadi. Personally I dont believe he is the "one", but what is happening now will give you an insight of what will happen when the real one comes. Christians who are civil servants have been made jobless. Business owners who are Christians cannot do business because they will not pledge allegiance to the Caliph. Does that sound familiar? Rev 13:15-17

and the hadith reported by Muslim,
``To go forth in the morning or evening to fight in the path of Allah is better than the whole world
and everything in it.''Details concerning jihad are found in the accounts of the military expeditions of the
Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), including his own martial forays and those on which he
dispatched others. The former consist of the ones he personally attended, some twenty-seven (others say
twenty-nine) of them. He fought in eight of them, and killed only one person with his noble hand, Ubayy
ibn Khalaf, at the battle of Uhud. On the latter expeditions he sent others to fight, himself remaining at
Medina, and these were forty-seven in number.)

Mr Abdulsalam, there is compulsion in religion...I didnt say it, the guideline for Sharia law (reliance of the traveller) from the Shafi school of thought says it. This was certified by the highest authority in Sunni Islam, Al-Azhar University in Cairo.

Not sure what the Hanbali, Maliki and Hanafi schools think but I dont expect them to be different since they agree on a lot of the legal conclusions

2. If the motive for terrorism is religious, it is impermissible in

order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o11.4)-which is the significance of their
paying it, not the money itself-while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O: and the war continues)until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High,
"Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His
messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given
the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled" (Koran 9.29),
the time and place for which is before the final descent of Jesus (upon whom be peace). After his final
coming, nothing but Islam will be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus'
descent (upon him and our Prophet be peace), which is the divinely revealed law of Muhammad. The
coming of Jesus does not entail a separate divinely revealed law, for he will rule by the law of
Muhammad. As for the Prophet's saying (Allah bless him and give him peace),
"I am the last, there will be no prophet after me,"
this does not contradict the final coming of Jesus (upon whom be peace), since he will not rule
according to the Evangel, but as a follower of our Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace)).

o9.9 The caliph fights all other peoples until they become Muslim (O: because they are not a people with
a Book, nor honored as such, and are not permitted to settle with paying the poll tax (jizya)) (n: though
according to the Hanafi school, peoples of all other religions, even idol worshippers, are permitted to
live under the protection of the Islamic state if they either become Muslim or agree to pay the poll tax,
the sole exceptions to which are apostates from Islam and idol worshippers who are Arabs, neither of
whom has any choice but becoming Muslim (al-Hidaya sharh Bidaya al-mubtadi' (y21), 6.48-49)).

Perhaps, you should have a discussion with a PhD holder in Islamic Studies to set you straight!!!

in the Qur’an. Qur’an 6:151 says, “and do not kill a soul that

be for murder or for wreaking corruption in the land, it shall

2. If the motive for terrorism is religious, it is impermissible in
Islamic law. It is forbidden to attempt to impose Islam on
other people. The Qur’an says, “There is no compulsion in
religion. The right way has become distinct from error.” (-The
Cow, 2:256). Note that this verse was revealed in Medina in
622 AD or after and was never abrogated by any other verse
of the Quran. Islam’s holy book forbids coercing people into
adopting any religion. They have to willingly choose it.
3. Islamic law forbids aggressive warfare. The Quran says,
“But if the enemies incline towards peace, do you also incline
towards peace. And trust in God! For He is the one who hears
and knows all things.” (8:61) The Quran chapter “The Cow,”

4. In the Islamic law of war, not just any civil engineer can
declare or launch a war. It is the prerogative of the duly

Actually you misquoted the verse highlighted in the first quote....You quoted the oft "underquoted" verse by muslim apologists. I say underquoted because they never seem to quote the complete verse. They always manage to leave out the "Children of Israel" and the context by not quoting the verse after it

I will say that the IS guys are actually acting under the banner of the prophet and understand what Allah has revealed.I would love to see a theological debate between IS and the council of Imams who say IS does not understand Allah's word. One thing is clear though, muslims are longing for a return of the Caliphate (the golden days of Islam). The average non-muslim on the street does not and is not willing to live under Islamic rule.
