Asha is not symbian.

@Op. I think all new symbian phons can do that, depends on your budget.
The nokia Asha range all run the symbian os..s40. It still has compatible versions of one or two I'm apps even though the experience may not be as cool as with s60 devices.

Stop lying from your nose, i would have not even responded to this, but won't let you continue spreading lies.. 2 Irish clubs did but he rejected based on terms.

French clubs are also interested but the terms to him aren't okay.

I wouldn't say he must be in the SE but if the coach sees him to be fit for the SE, then FINE. but don't make it sound as if "if you do not play in Europe, then you are not a player".

If i play in Asia, then i shouldn't be called up too right?
What about in Africa?
South America or North America?
The coach can't see him sef, when there are abundant players in Europe. Truth is, if u aren't playing in Europe...u would hardly be noticed. You'd have to be exceptional to be noticed in the south American league, Brazilian league to be precise. Everybody can't get a chance in the national team. He's too young to be playing football for money....the big boys got recognised first before going to lower leagues for the money. I can tell u that 100% of the Indian national team play in the local league there, it's not because they love home based players...they simply don't have players in the big leagues!!! Check the world ranking, they are placed 165th in the world. They participated in a competition lately, lost all their group games without scoring a single goal. That tells u that the league is shitty.
Keshi is still trying to build a team, that's why u see more home based players there...by the time he's thru, his team will be made up of over 75% Europe based players...none from India.

flairlady: Pls what is the major difference between nokia asha 302 and 303?is nokia asha 302 available in Nigeria?what are the prices?
Both have almost the same qualities except that the 303 doubles as a touchscreen device. As per the 302 availability, i can't say....even though i know it's an higher upgrade of the 201.

letonB: Pls how do i register my whatsApp for it not to stop working
I guess u got that same long crappy message saying u should forward same message to all your contacts to avoid being blocked. The truth is, the app is available for free usage within a duration of 1yr after registration, you'd have to pay a small fee thereafter to continue usage. There's absolutely nothing you can do to reverse it. It's as simple as that

Phones / Re: Nigerians May Just Save Blackberry From Extinction by puplin(f): 4:30am On May 29, 2012
rockiedink: This thread started as a rejoinder to an article on how RIM possibly might turn their fortunes with the Nigerian market.

But now it has become a bickering ground for BB haters versus other smartphone haterz...

I use a BB; not because I believe its the best smart phone out there - but because considering our Nigerian market it still remains the best smartphone to use.

Yes we all, myself inclusive, know that almost every other smartphone platform out there trumps BB OS; that's why they lose market share in the US and most developed countries BECAUSE, the telcos there are very much in touch with the needs of the consumers. They provide you contracts where they give you the phone almost free, if you will pay a little fixed amount every month for a period of say two years. And that monthly figure has bundled with it things like unlimited data, unlimited text messaging, unlimited intra-network minutes, and a large amount of inter network minutes as well! For example using 3 UK as a case study, you can get the 16GB iPhone bundled with 1000 minutes, 5000 SMSs and unlimited data at a monthly cost of just 33GBP(about N8500) if you will sign a 2-month contract. How much better can it get! If na naija and you wanna monetize that (at N10 per min of call and N5 per SMS) its gonna become over N35k for just SMS and calls in the same month, data exclusive! By the way, you'd get the Samsung Galaxy S III for next to nothing paying 41GBP monthly and bundled with that would be 900 minutes, unlimited SMSs and up to 5GB of data. So why would anyone not pick an iphone or android in such a scenario!

But in Nigeria where MTN and co would charge you N2000 for just 750MB(as was said by someone earlier) and you would still have to pay for every call you make and every SMS you send! Etisalat still dey try dey give Easycliq'ers 15MB every week...but dat no reach anything at all.

So in conclusion, for reasons of cost and practicality, where resources are scarce and money is an object, the Blackberry will still rule the Nigerian smartphone space...at least until our telcos start offering us reasonable contract bundles and free phones...and hey, what could you possibly wanna do on your iphone/android that the Blackberry won't do?

- You get push email, I get push email;
- You browse, I browse, with me getting more data per kobo than you sef!
- You open office documents, I edit office documents
- You have all media snazzy tins at you fingertips, I get am too! music player, video player and what have you.
- You social network, I social network in a big way too! - wahtsapp, nimbuzz, twitter, facebook...name it. Plus I'm an exclusive member of the BBM clique too wink cool grin
- You get 750MB, I get 3GB for two-thirds of your price...

Lets face it, I spend less for more than you can dream of using your fancy smartphone. But when I start earning armed robber salary and making millions like the 'cabals' grin I go sharp sharp go buy Samsung Galaxy S III plus iPad3! But till then, my BB does a very neat job thank you! tongue
But if ya papa na Dangote and money no get limit for you...use three phone sef...iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S III and HTC One X, come get iPad3 join...na ya money dey yarn!

Lol, i love this piece. Chop knuckle...but let me add that i also edit word documents on my Nokia via officesuite...and i have free pdf readers available while u only get repligo on a 10day free trial....but i think there's a guy on nairaland that's been giving people free activation code. So, i guess we both get good value for our choice of smartphones at the end.

Akainzo:

a) Only the E and N series have push email, ALL BBs have push emails.
b) Well you can actually, as your data plan is not generally time bound but usage bound.
c) Hmmmm, search the web and see how any celebs have had their pictures on the internet cos of the Nokia phone they use. Then search to see if you've seen one from a BB use grin
d) Sure you don't. But when someone wants to email you and engineering drawing or you've got a client that suddenly calls while you're away, the data cap would indeed limit you.
e) Nimbuzz? operating within your own circle? Whatsapp teling you the guy has been active does not mean he has read your message, he/she could have been active chatting with someone else. It is not the same as knowing when someone has read YOUR OWN message.

So while I accept that ALL phones can do varied things, the cost benefit analysis and how they do it is what sets them apart. It is for this reason that BB have the support of top notch CEOs and company directors.
Even a BoD member of Apple uses a BB, check the video out (from 0:18 )
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lfC38NY4-E
Na wa for u o...at first you asked if i get PUSH email like he does and when i respond u had to rephrase by saying only E & N series have that in common with BB. Tell me, is Nokia 5230 an E or N series?
Secondly, i said i don't run out of data and airtime at the same time and u say i can....do u know how i use my phone? If u must know, every data plan is usage bound, BB inclusive!!
Thirdly, what has celebs & pictures on the internet got to do with anything??
Then you talked about an engineering drawing being sent as an attachment, is the file size gonna be as large as 500mb? And the client calling while am away, away to where? What has that got to do with data?
Then i feel convenient using nimbuzz cos i have my yahoo, gmail & facebook contacts all in one app...and its a twitter client too. So, your talk of within my circle doesn't make any sense to me. Is the bbm not a circle thing too?
I really don't get the basis of your arguments o.
Phones / Re: Nigerians May Just Save Blackberry From Extinction by puplin(f): 7:02pm On May 28, 2012
Akainzo:

The fuss is simple:
a. Do you get always on PUSH email like he does?
b. When you run out of credit on your Nokia, what other options of communication do you have?
c. Do you have a secure phone?
d. Do you have as much data allowance for the same period at the same price?
e. Do you have access to IM clients on the go as he does? (Note whatsapp while mimicking BBM well, doesn't still let you know when a message is read!)

There are more, but those are just off my head now.
a. I do get PUSH email like he does, ever heard of nokia messaging?
b. I dont run out of credit and data plan at the same time.
c. My phone is totally secure...hehehe, except u meant something else.
d. I dont need as much as 3GB of data monthly cos i dont watch youtube or download series like he does..lol
e. I do have access to a wide range of IM Clients, my Nimbuzz mobile is ever reliable. I know he probably has whatsapp installed on his berry cos not all his friends and family are on BB. I also know when a message is read on whatsapp cos the app shows me the last time a contact was active on the app.

I'll wait for more questions once u get them off your head. lol

Oh...i perfectly understand watching youtube videos and downloading films makes u feel awesome..lmao. So tell me, how many series do u download on your bb monthly? So when u download, yo bb compresses the file size from like 100mb to 5mb per episode? Hehehe...my friend, u still don't know why u bought a blackberry.

Τ̲̅ђε̲̣̣̣̥ fuss is u wer indirectly alleging that my reasons for owning a blackberry are childish...wht model of nokia do u use? What are its functions? Do u browse without thinking abt credit or netwrk problems...
I use a Nokia C6-01, google the functions yourself o..lol..and i don't worry about network or credit cos i subscribe to a data plan on Airtel. #2000 gives me 750MB monthly and i do basically everything u do on your bb with it and i hardly exhaust it. The last time RIM servers crashed, how did u cope?

walcolm:

your comments in bold are very ignorant comments.
FACTS:
BB is the only mobile device that is not prone to virus attack
the least BIS monthly data cap is 1GB with glo offering 3GB....no other smartphone data plan nears that at just N1400 for a month
The least BIS monthly data cap is 200mb on MTN and for #100 less on Airtel, you get 325MB of data on your smartphone.
Phones / Re: Nigerians May Just Save Blackberry From Extinction by puplin(f): 1:36pm On May 28, 2012
sanchez4eva: I m 20 and I ve used many types of phones available....when I was 18 I used an iphone 3g...τ̲̅ђε̲̣̣̣̥ sleek interface and apps were amazing..sweet games and better applications that wld captivate a teenager but τ̲̅ђε̲̣̣̣̥ browsing was wack...even τ̲̅ђε̲̣̣̣̥ amount I paid was too much..as I grew older, my taste changed..Information is power and I needed unlimited browsing and bb came to τ̲̅ђε̲̣̣̣̥ rescue...For business men and older peeps, blackberry is τ̲̅ђε̲̣̣̣̥ best but android and iphone4s are for those who love apps and want to stand out but they suffer in terms of browsing wahala....Nokia (symbian) are for those younger guys who have time to be hustling for browsing cheats...To cap it all, many peeps dnt make full use of their bb, they only use it for bbm and aesthetic purposes but τ̲̅ђε̲̣̣̣̥ peeps that know τ̲̅ђε̲̣̣̣̥ reason for buying a bb, use it well to full capability-email,unlimited browsing and downloads,Instant messaging and communication, multimedia and all that...my bold 4 is τ̲̅ђε̲̣̣̣̥ best phone I ve ever used...peace out
If those are your reasons for opting for a berry, then u must truly be 20
