He intended to come over for a month. That"s what he filled in the ds160.

How can we show home ties for him. He went with documents showing proof of Job and even lands. But couldn't even present it. We are just looking for what to do better next time.

Sorry about the denial. The VO probably does not trust that he will return to the country. He is the home tie you have, and with him coming over too, VO thinks there's no sufficient home time.
What kinda job does he do?
how long has he been doing the job?
how long did he fill on the ds160 as intended duration of stay?
who was suppose to sponsor his trip?

Lot of things VO may have seen in the ds160 that won't make him/her ask many questions during interview. Answers to these questions may help guide on way forward.

Me:No I haven't had reason to however I need to go see my wife and daughter then return back to resume my job and business here in nigeria.

Please, I'll like to know what went wrong, advice on how to go about it the next time and how soon to try again.

VO: why the school
Me: I chose the ULL because it has a concentration of mechanical engineering that aligns with what I currently do. The program places emphasis on computer aided design and system vibration. The program also utilizes the university's energy institute where advanced research is being carried out in my area of interest by industry based professionals. I like the that these proffesionals use the advanced design concepts that I wish to learn. The knowledge I'll get from the program is practical and will be useful in me effectively functioning as a piping Engineer when I return.
VO:what are the advanced design concepts
Me: stress analysis in piping systems and material selection of pipes.
VO: i see you have an assistantship. Who will you be working with
Me: I will be working with,sorry, assisting Dr X in the class and laboratory. Grading assignments, invigilating exams and holding office hours.
VO:how did you get it. Did you talk to anyone?
Me: I sent an email to the grad cord. We spoke about the curriculum. He then reviewed my credentials; was impressed and recommended me for an assistantship.

Me: he is businessman and he has a couple of oil and gas stations.

Me: yes, she is
V.O: what about your husband
Me: my husband works as a manager in xxxx. While I'm studying, he will be working here. Although, We have plans of me visiting with the baby during summer.

Hello everyone. I'm applying for F1 and F2 Visa for myself and my child
1. I'm currently using my maiden name although I'm married. While my child has the father's surname. Will it be an issue that my surname is different from my child's?
2. Can I do a change of name now and take the document along to the embassy? I used my maiden name on my DS-160 and I-20

Pls note I have my marriage certificate and my child's birth certificate showing my maiden name.
