Career / Re: Are Nigerian 'Graduates' Really Graduates? by rayray2828(m): 3:36pm On May 02, 2009
@edoyad
cannot believe u,re saying this, nigerian graduates only graduate on nigerian standard but not for world standard, our materials are obsolate,lecturers not up to standard,infrastructures not there and so on, whether in terms of engineering,medicine,law and so on we are not up to date, it is obvious in our environment, do not try to take it personal it is not ur fault, nigeria is an underdeveloped country where most people are just trying to survive, going to school in nigeria is just for getting a job so how can the quality be there, the amount of pressure,stress,hardwork etc you go through in school does not necessarilly mean "best education",

Politics / Re: Shame On Nigerian Police - All Because Of 50 Naira Bribe They Want To Die by rayray2828(m): 11:00pm On Apr 27, 2009
shame shame shaaaaaame, woooooooh oleeeeeee!!!!!!!!

the police(nigerian police) is "not my friend", dont care what anyone on this thread say, they are worse than armed robbers to me, if they extort money like this in broad daylight what now happens to those people they meet in corners with substantial amount of money,
imagine how many people they would have killed ,collected thier money and thrown away in the water or bushes or even buried,left for dead on the side of the road,

you call them corrupt how can u call someone who points a gun at you to get money corrupt,how can u call someone who takes you to the station beat you up mercilessly to collect money corrupt,sits u on the floor,embarrass you, slap you, just to get money corrupt, they are murderers,"armed robbers",bullies,extortionists, infact dont know what to say about this stupid nigerian police, shaaaaammmeeeee!!!!

Religion / Re: Why Are Church Institutions Expensive? by rayray2828(m): 2:04pm On Apr 27, 2009
@debosky
sustainability of any business enterprise needs constant injection of money and good management but most of all "purpose", the purpose of this institutions example universities are not church like, now this is what i mean, churches are meant to provide things for people who are not able to get those things themselves, building a universityis not the responsibility of a church unless it aims to provide education for those who are not able to get them, now providing expensive education for those who can afford them is a misplaced priority as long as the church is concerned,why go into it in the first place, my example of the woman roasting corn is a good example because the underlining point there is the "value" of the amount droped and not in the amount itself, 1 million to a rich man might have the same value as 10 000 or less to another individual, just try and understand what i mean, as a church u try to win people to the kingdom not only by preaching physicaly but also by showing good gestures,charitable gestures and so on
Religion / Re: Why Are Church Institutions Expensive? by rayray2828(m): 7:30pm On Apr 26, 2009
when it comes to this topic i always give an example of the woman roasting corn on the side of the street under the hot sun, going to church on sunday and putting money in church like everyone else,but when it comes to enjoying the services example school provided by that church shes no where to be found, instead this other members and none members of the church who can afford to spend even more money will now be the ultimate beneficiaries, mmmmmmmmmm
Religion / Re: Why Are Church Institutions Expensive? by rayray2828(m): 7:16pm On Apr 26, 2009
its a very interesting and sensitive thread, am a member of rccg and i do not believe in criticising the spirituality of anyone, even men of God,
church institutions r expensive,infact too expensive, this gives a negative sign to non christians,could make other non christian institutions increase thier prices which would have been the other way round if it was cheap,would increase the class divide in the society and a lot of things i cant think about now, a lot of good things would come out from those institutions being cheap, like winning more souls and getting more people educated which would inturn be indebted to them e.t.c and no one should say they cannot afford it,pls,

men of God are good men interms of spirituality as far as am concerned, but they always get it wrong when it comes to finances
Career / Re: Are Nigerian 'Graduates' Really Graduates? by rayray2828(m): 6:31pm On Apr 26, 2009
compared to nigerian standard they are really graduates but compared to world standard they are not, its an underdeveloped country and as far as using what is on ground nigerian students are the best, graduates from developed countries are a lot more advanced than graduates from nigeria simply because of the environment, the environment helps the students to study and some of this students graduate to become teachers,lecturers to teach the undergraduates the same quality of education they got, so as u can see its a cycle and this will continue until we become as developed as them,

theres a room for improvement but to get to world standard then i guess thats asking for too much, guess the right question for this thread is "HOW CAN WE IMPROVE OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM"
Religion / Re: Adeboye(redeemed Church) Acquires N4bn Aircraft by rayray2828(m): 2:28pm On Apr 25, 2009
why do people always believe that cause you are a man of God you are perfect and above critisizm, people who are against the people critisizing tome are wrong, what u can do is to try and explain why he bought the plane thats alll, to me i dont think anyone is perfect even men of God so because of that we are liable to mistakes, the plane is his financial endevour and he doesnt have to always get that right does he, this doesnt undermine his religious status, now when theres a lot of criticism about the plane the pastor could look again to the plane and see if he,s got that wrong, if he has then he should apologise and do the right thing,

when pastors or followers potray themselves as people who cannot get things wrong,as people who are perfect then thats where the problem is, we now engulf ourselves in a world of illusion,in a world different from reality, which is obviously a big problem in nigeria at the moment, this world of illusion leads to extremism,deceit and so on, now like i said before am a christian (rccg) but i have learnt to worship God realisticaly cause thats the purpose of christianity in the first place, simple jesus christ came to this world (not heaven) to show us how to live realistically, so reality tells us know one is perfect, so allow criticism in order to allow improvement,
Religion / Re: Adeboye(redeemed Church) Acquires N4bn Aircraft by rayray2828(m): 12:25pm On Apr 25, 2009
am a member of rccg, we were told in church that the plane was bought by five members of the church with thier personal and borrowed money and that it was bought for 10 million dollars not 28 mil, now with that said, am going to say i do not agree with the decision of buying a private jet which according to them can also be hired , the church is not a business venture, its purpose is to attract people to the kingdom of God by modest means, now every human being is equal to the next irrespectiveof your race,gender,background,profession,religion,status and so on, when we see something that we believe is wrong we should call those responsible to question,no matter who you are but when u start differentiating people cause of one reason or another, then there is a problem,

religion especialy christianity is based on faith not reasoning (but can be questioned), but tyhe head of the faith is human and should be questioned that does not mean u do not believe in that religion
Music/Radio / Re: Mr Olu Maintain's New Single : Arab Money by rayray2828(m): 10:36am On Apr 25, 2009
first of all why is he always on about money,money,money in his songs, first yahoozee,kam-kazee,and now arab money,
now for those of u who like his music, are you guys for real?
with all the hard working,good musicians in nigeria u want to support this crap, do u want to bring down the standard of nigerian music again,

        we should learn to critcize bad music and musicians so that people can learn to put quality out there, that alone is what i think can improve nigerian music
Business / Re: Muslims Reject New Naira Notes: No Arabic Inscription by rayray2828(m): 10:15am On Apr 25, 2009
the problem with nigeria is lack of information and i will usethis medium to say shame on our media,journalists,reporters,tv and radio stations,
how much information have we on this issue appart from the fact that it was writing in the papers, the media would sit down there after the supposed comments and not interview "live" the peopleobjecting to this, so that everyone can see and hear thier views, agree or disagree with them,

it is a democracy and everyone has a right to support or object to issues, personally am a christian and i do not agree with them but that doesnt matter, all that matters is that they air thier views properly (media) for the world to see and debate, thanks
