Politics / Another Perspective On The Release Of The #dapchigirls - Beegeeagles Blog by razid: 7:13am On Mar 23, 2018 |
*ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE ON THE RELEASE OF THE DAPCHI GIRLS* Beegeeagles blog (@beegeeaglesblog) says, The Liberation Of The #DapchiGirls:Apparently It Was Not Money But A Convergence Between A Blue Moon & An Exceptional Stroke Of Good Fortune Which Nicked It. Incredible But True Tonight, I was on the phone for one hour plus with sources who were effectively at the very, very firstline of those who swung this for Nigeria My lead narrator is someone who is known to be averse to transactional releases. That, his credibility & his known sense of balance made me lend a listening ear When all of this first happened, we told you first that it had to be Al-Barnawi's faction who had the girls, judging from the location of Dapchi. Some of these things are discernible to those who really keep an eye on the ball. They took the girls - no buts or ifs.ISWAP kept them I have to be cagey cos this is not "public info" per se but you can read between the lines. To be sure,we had the benefit of solidarity from a foreign NGO whom I did not speak to but my contacts affirm their role Now since those girls got taken and while efforts were underway to free them, grand-scale contention arose in the camp of the abductors. Recall that ab initio, this camp were supposed to be the ones not keen on negatively impacting civilians, be it attacks or abductions. While the FG mulled over how to pull this off,not even they could have envisaged the fortuitous turn of events which played out this week. Reason why even they sounded surprised at the release of the girls. The back channel contacts were in the lead & giving feedback to the FG As you may have noticed, the Yobe State Govt appear not to have even caught sight of the girls in passing before they jetted out to Abuja. The back channels were not their own draft was why & also things happened a bit too dramatically for anyone to tarry So there arose a rift in the camp of the abductors with the ascendant wing of naysayers being opposed to the abductions. The abductors effectively found themselves on the backfoot and outnumbered While contacts were being made, the naysayers mustered a majority sufficient enough to unilaterally impose their will on the collective. They reminded their mates that they changed leadership to move away from such antics which set them apart from the Shekau-led BH It was the opinion of the naysayers, I was told impeccably, that since they were averse to preying on civilians, be that bombings or abductions for ransom, there was no question of negotiating any ransoms Bolstered by their absolute dominance & certain that they were more than bolstered to defeat any internal reprisals, they unilaterally took the decision to free the girls That was why even the FG did not quite seem to believe that we got this lucky and had to press for their expedited movement from Dapchi to MDGR, from where they were flown to Abuja. In a manner of speaking, it was too good to be true There are developments which are unfolding at this moment which I'm constrained to keep close to chest. Suffice to say however that there MAY be many more surprise developments coming out of the camp of ISWAP. Bookmark this tweet End of conversation Replying to @beegeaglesblog 1. Is it true some of the girls are dead? 2. Was any one of them held back for not renouncing her Christian faith as widely reported? Yes, some of the girls were lost in a stampede which I did not ask to be defined but it may have been a reference to the day when they were abducted As for the Christian girl, I asked and was told that if they were meant to be released, did it matter if she converted anyway? She was somehow left behind, just like at least 3 non-DapchiGirls also made it out with the group. The controversial Christian girl should be out in a bit..we keep our fingers crossed https://twitter.com/beegeaglesblog/status/976934833439076353 |

This is not a Kaduna issue alone. Sometimes during Agagu's regime in Ondo State, he organized something similar for science teachers. A Physics teacher did not know the formula speed. Over 70% of them could not make it. But they didn't make it a media issue. Why did you think the teachers in Ekiti State refused to undertake similar test under Fayemi? Have you all forgot the teacher in Edo during Oshiomole's time that went viral during his interview? 2 Likes |

Tomity:Got you there Joe. You're just thinking what I'm thinking right. One of the very likely scenarios of 2019 is PMB contesting for second term. But watch out, he will be the first president to resign officially from office and duly hand over to his deputy. Professor Osinbajo and PMB have the same vision for Nigeria. They want a Nigeria of equal opportunity and an egalitarian society for every citizen. The two of them also believe that corruption is a major problem hampering the development of the true potential of Nigeria. Based on this and against all odds, particularly from the northern parts of the country, PMB will leave the stage peacefully for a Yoruba man to finish his second term tenure. |
Politics / Re: If Nigeria Is "Very Corrupt" According To Buhari, Why No One In Jail After 2yrs by razid: 8:40am On Sep 07, 2017 |
So in your own assessment, Buhari should be the one to jail corrupt people. When he did that in 1983, what did you call him? Now that he didn't do that, he must also be crucified. I don't blame such thinking. I only blame the establishment that produce it. Imagine having to complete a 4-year course in 7 years as a result of strike. There is no way the products of such system won't be battered psychologically that thinking straight would be an aberration. |

The day an average Igbo man takes responsibility for his problems will be the day he will be liberated. You embarked on a war albeit a suicide one for that matter against every conceivable logic, you were slaughtered, yet you cried that they killed you. Do they normally play ludo during a war? You kill yourselves, yet you blame it upon others. You run from your God forsaken land to a land that is accommodating. They accepted you the way you are, yet you call them cowards. You develop everywhere else in the world, yet over 30 years now, you and your leaders have been crying over the failure to construct a bridge that is not up to 50km and will be mostly used by you. You celebrate every misfortune that happens to others, when they do that to you, you start crying marginalization. Haba! When are Igbos going to man up to their responsibilities? Stop blaming others for your problems. Problems are meant to be solved. Only the fainthearted blame others for his woes. 1 Like |

In the real sense and frankly speaking, the real definition of MARGINALISATION to an Ibo man is simply "Yoruba have it, why don't we have our own?" That is why they are perpetually angry, pained and grieving. They have seen the progress of Yorubas, they tried as much as possible to pirate such progress in their God forsaken erosion-laden villages to no success. "Won le le le owo won ko ba". The fact is even if they are given their Biafra by God's grace, their tears of marginalization will never dry because they can't measure up to the Yorubas. They would always compare themselves to the Omoluabis because we are their yardsticks. They can only be successful in our land. Mention any "successful" Ibo man or woman, dead or alive whose story is not tied to the Yorubaland? "Eyin, eyin l'omo adie n to iya e, kosi ewu fun wa rara". Since this thread is a proof of the saying that "internet never forgets", let me use this opportunity to also educate those who may be reading this thread in the future. I've always maintained that Biafra was a tribal blackmail against the rest of the people of Nigeria. As shown by this thread, there was no plan for Biafra when the going was good for them. It became an afterthought when GEJ unfortunately lost the 2015 presidential election. Before the election was postponed in February 2015, all the polls conducted by reputable organizations (including their own NOI Poll owned and managed by Ngozi Okonjo Iweala) by the then PDP were pointing to the fact that the election was going to be won by APC. Some of them was so confident and conceited that they did not even think of any possibility of losing the election because they believed they had enough resources to "win" the election by any force imaginable. Talk of money(dollars just like the one kept in Osborne Tower Ikoyi), military, police and other instruments of state at their disposal. So losing was not one of the options they were considering. But as the election period was getting closer, they saw the handwriting on the wall and that was when they started with scaremongering campaigns. Something like what was said by the then gubernatorial candidate in Lagos, Jimi Agbaje, and Asari Dokubo threatening to unleash terror on the rest of the country if their manfriday failed to clinch the presidential victory. Tompolo, Asari Dokubo and the rest agreed to form Niger Delta Republic while Kanu et al mooted the idea of Biafra Republic. When the Niger Delta people failed to activate their own secession plan, it was at that period that Nnamdi Kanu tapped into the energy of TAN members to drive home the issue of Biafra. The TAN members had their ego very bruised during the 2015 election and were already seething with anger particularly against the South West because of the latter support to APC. Kanu tapped into their energy and gave them leadership after the defeat. So, gradually they started joining him in secession plan. In order to bring a stop to the agitation, the FG under APC flirted with most of their leaders. Therefore, the handwriting on the wall portends that the agitation would die a natural death the day some of their elders start trooping to APC. Nnamdi Kanu was part of the deal. So, don't be surprised to see Nnamdi Kanu campaigning for APC in 2019. They are that shameless and they have no honour or dignity. 27 Likes 4 Shares |

AutosBay: Reading your comments shows that you never for once believed in the programme. The question is why did you enroll for a worthless programme in the first instance? I know for sure you're one of those badmouthing the programme initially thinking that it would never materialise. Since it's your prayer that the programme should collapse, you should be happy now that your prayer has been answered. Before you come for my head, let it be clear to you that I don't fall within the age bracket of the beneficiaries. But I'll tell you that I know more than 10 people who are beneficiaries and praying fervently for the programme to succeed. Change your attitude. Your negativity is affecting your life. You'll continue to get what you wish. What I know is that why you're here badmouthing the programme, some of your colleagues are holding thanksgiving for being one of the lucky beneficiaries. You'll always get what you wish for yourself. Be positive in your life for once. Nobody is responsible for your misery. Everybody has one problem or the other. I was actually discussing this issue with my wife one day sometimes in December last year. We couldn't agree to any reason in particular but fortunately for me, I stumbled on this piece in The Punch of December 10 2016. This will give some insight. Why is palm oil very expensive now?In the interview by an oil palm researcher and investor in mechanisation of palm oil production, Charles Aladewolu, he said that Nigeria produce 40% of palm oil while the rest 60% was imported. However, due to forex scarcity, the industries using palm oil as raw materials made incursion into the local production, hence the spike in its price. http://punchng.com/shameful-nigeria-imports-palm-oil-aladewolu/ 2 Likes |
