I congratulate in particular the double agents who stayed with the Governor by day, advising him on his next moves and strategies while returning to base at. night to fortify plans to help his rival crush the fly with a sledgehammer. We saw your faces today live as you led your groups to a brilliant electoral victory . Like they say victory at last. Everyone can now relax, pop bottles of champagne and Hennessy to celebrate. Lagos has been saved from the proud, arrogant and incompetent governor who could not follow a simple blueprint. Lol.
To the insignificant fly who stood on the principles of democracy, who knew he would be defeated but still wanted to excersie his right to contest, you are a unique symbol to me. *Akeredolu disgraced at APC NEC MEETING of 27th March, 2018*

The Governor of Ondo state, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu suffered terrible humiliation at the APC NEC meeting of 27 April, 2018.
The impetuous governor who spoke at the NEC meeting in support of Mr Muiz Banire tried to argue against President Buhari's remarks on elongation was asked to sit down. Hon Doguwa, the chief whip of the House of reps told Akeredolu that he was disrespectful and arrogant. He asked Akeredolu if he had elders at home.
Also, after Vice-president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo countered the governor and cautioned him from speaking as if he were judge, and Akeredolu wanted to respond, Senator Adamu Abdullahi asked to sit down or get himself beaten.
Akeredolu stammered and managed and wobbled to his seat.
In his reaction, President Buhari referred to Banire and Akeredolu as SANs who unfortunately did not acquaint themselves sufficiently with the party and nation's constitution and added that he was lucky to have a very sound Prof of law and SAN as his vice and also an Attorney Gen who is also a very knowledgeable SAN

"The Yoruba nation I know has been in the opposition even since the inception of Nigeria and yet they are not the worst in Nigeria. After the annulment of the June 12, 1993, presidential elections won by Moshood Abiola, the powers that be tried to console the Yoruba by appointing Ernest Shonekan the head of the interim government. Did Yoruba accept Shonekan? No, they did not. They did not come out on the streets with Gbedu Drums to celebrate Yoruba and Chief Shonekan.

Yoruba proudly told the powers that be that you can only be the Head of State in Nigeria through two methods: either through an election or through a successful coup d’état. In the case of Shonekan, he did not ascend to power through either of the above processes. He was therefore rejected by the Yoruba. Now, if it were the Igbo, would they have reasoned this way? I doubt it. In the struggle for June 12, Abiola was put in detention, and his wife killed. Several Yoruba people were in detention and some hounded abroad. Abiola was eventually killed. But did the Yoruba go to war or resort to self-determination? No, they did not. They fought back using common sense and the power of ideas.

In 1998 when the presidency was zoned to the South-West because the late MKO Abiola has paid the supreme price, the Yoruba preferred Olu Falae but the powers that be forced Obasanjo on Nigeria. Now did the Yoruba accept Obasanjo because he is a Yoruba man? They did not. This unique race rejected Obasanjo for the eight years he was in office, from 1999 to 2007. To date the Yoruba still believe that Obasanjo wasted their eight years. OBJ was rejected even in his own ward, in his local government, and in the whole of the Western Region. That is the Yoruba nation for you. Can the Igbo do this? I doubt it. After the 2003 elections, the PDP stole all the states in the South-West, leaving only Lagos because they were afraid of the trouble Lagosians will give them. The former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, fought back like a wounded lion with his committed associates to reclaim almost all the States in the South-West. He did not stop there; he spread his intimidating political tentacles across Nigeria, forming alliances across building networks and bridges, and the result is what we saw on Saturday, March 28, and April 11, 2015.

Now, can any leader in the South-East achieve this feat? Where is the character? Where is the courage? Where is the wisdom and understanding? Where is the common sense? Where is the discipline? Where is the capacity and capability?"

Ondo Politics and National Political Undercurrents

First of all, congratulations to Aketi on his win. I wish him the best and I hope he does well. Ondo State is a littoral state and next to Lagos in promise. May he have the wisdom to galvanize friends and foes and lead with restaint on destructive impulses. Now to what went on and what is happening.

Was there a united APC before the primaries? Hell no! Mrs.Oluremi Tinubu supported Senator Boroffice, Tinubu supported Abraham, Aregbesola supported Olusola Oke and the Abuja crowd supported Aketi. Again, Tinubu obviously smarting from the hurt he is suffering from the Federal, made another grave mistake of not galvanizing his people.

The social media pawns are just pawns! My friend Tunde Akogun read Asiwaju ' birthday message and made some deductions which I dismissed based on my prior and assumptions. I was wrong! Totally wrong! The France meeting I reported between Dogara and Saraki was followed by another meeting in Spain which I was completely ignorant of until a very confidential source told me this morning. Asiwaju Tinubu is in talks with Atiku and Saraki! Fayose is in the cards.

Who was number one on Eyitayo Jegede's nomination form? Hehehehe. Jegede has always been an Atiku boy. The better part of his legal practice was in Yola. What is the role of Dangote and the promised concession of Olokola in financing Aketi? Olokola was first discussed with the late Dr. Agagu. Mimiko came with his greed and offered an implausible agreement which Dangote rejeted. He took his investment to Lagos. E dìbó ke sebè was the strategy of all the political gladiators in the election. APC, PDP and AD all spent money to induce voters. It was the most monetized state election ever! APC out spent others and Aketi deployed all he could deploy. It is the nature of political contests.

The political calculations going into 2019 is complex and brutal! The losers are Buhari and Nigerians not Tinubu. Politicians are very complex beings, they can eat their enemies food if it will help them stay in reckoning. To the young and idealistic on facebook, be wise! Watch, learn and don't be quick to burn bridges because your principal is headed somewhere and you must follow.

As it stands this morning, President Buhari is not in good health. He has lost control of his presidency regardless of the pretensions. He needs at least 6 weeks of rest and treatment but he dare not leave Nigeria for that long. If he leaves peren! He will be impeached along with Osinbajo and the Senate President will act and call for a fresh election. He is not ignorant of this fact. That is where the bookmark is in the power playbook. Nigeria we hail thee!

Just wondering why Abraham would not show up till late, giving Aketi all the chance in the world to woo other contestants delegates right at the primary floor. Abarahm showed up at the venue after Aketi had garnered all the needed delegates to win. Abraham was also first to concede victory to Aketi while Oke and Borofice are still complaining. U really believe Tinubu/Abaraham mumu like that?

Where did Aketi get his financing?

Even Tinubu sef no complain about the apparent change of delegates names at the last minute.
