Beautiful. I pointed out ministries like Four Square founded 1952, Apostolic Faith, founded, 1887. Are these ministries approved of God. What is your take about their members?
Are those ministries following the scriptures? What do they teach?
A ministry can be in error, and think they are in the right.

The upper part of the post not attended no problem. Now what follows....

Who didn't say what?

I know you are reference the Bible as support and the above does not change the below I stated earlier....

Your anything wrong here should include women being pastors presence or absence of men.

Timothy's mother (Eunice) and grandmother (Lois) were teaching the Scriptures to Timothy is an example that women are equally qualified to teach. Priscilla equal taught Apollos they are credited with instructing Apollos, a major evangelist of the first century, and "[explaining] to him the way of God more accurately.

You thought legalism was just

And you don't know those setting those works as basis for salvation in the church are disorderly.

Good

When God throw disorder into the minds of those building tower of babel, it is for carnality not for the spirit or God who is a spirit. Disorder has it benefits. No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval.

Contention over what is non existent in the first place. I don't know where it is coming from.

I don't know when I said so.

You have not seen a book amongst of the Bible called Achorladey or referenced Achorladey. No one is interested in adding to it. It's all explanation regarding what was written.

The order stipulated in the church are or can be disorder when they don't match with what the master want. When a person choose not to follow it is not walking disorderly. We will only have Roman Catholic today if everyone believes the order given by the leaders then are in order. Hope you get the sense of what I am driving at now. Many of the members of congregations in the book of Revelation didn't follow the church order and Jesus gave them high commendation. Go read it.

Good it is from every brother including the leaders of the church giving the orders. What do you think? grin grin grin

From church to apostles. No problem. Follow my example as I follow thr example of Christ. The my are apostles. When the apostles gives order that is not of Christ you dump them.

I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.

Do not stifle the Holy Spirit..... 1 Thessalonians 5:19.

In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. This is where the stifling of the Holy spirit spirit begins. Those commandments are sure order
Ok

You need to be wise spiritually speaking my friend.

For instance mathematics teaches us that 2+2=4
It has been applied billions of times and it's has always worked but imagine someone wants to tell you that 2+2 is never 4 people what should be a wise thing to say to such a person?

Would you just start arguing on the numbers with him or ask him to present a better result?

Likewise in the absence of no better performing group JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are always right!

Look at all these people coming to criticize the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses and try to meditate on one simple question:

Why is it that none of them is bold enough to place their church side by side with Jehovah's Witnesses organization?

The answer is simple. Jesus said the light is what they're running away from {John 3:19} how? They knew that the religion they proclaim will tell a lot about the type of person they are on the inside so they will not tell you the name of their church but keep arguing that Jehovah's Witnesses are wrong.

If they should mention the name of their church instantly a wise person will place such a church side by side with Jehovah's Witnesses organization just as you will do with someone who claimed 2+2 shouldn't be four and try to find out if he has a better result.

Out of all the commentators on this thread the one and only person whose church is known apart from me is OLAADEGBU yet he is scared to place Deeperlife side by side with Jehovah's Witnesses organization.

WHY?

Because i've proved to him countless times that Deeperlife is not even a Christian organization if we have to look through the Act of Apostles which supposed to be the yardstick to measure a true Christian group! smiley
what is wrong with arguing with others about the word, didn't Paul argue with people about the gospel? Provided we are not fighting, it is healthy to sometimes argue about truth than to unite in error.

JEHOVAH hid that name from Satan and all his agents otherwise they would have stolen that GROUP name long ago.
But in the year 1931 when pure worship was restored among the International Bible Students Association Jehovah began calling His people by the hidden group name:
JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES! Isaiah 65:15

Can you show me from the scriptures that God hid his name only to reveal it to small group in 1931?
Where did Jehovah call people Jehovah witness in Isaiah 65:15?

Christians are followers of the first century young Jewish carpenter who later became a teacher and claimed he is the CHRIST.
For years Jews were calling his disciples "people belonging to the WAY"
{Act 9:2; 22:4} because their leader called himself "the WAY" {John 14:6} later unbelieving Jews in Antioch started calling them "CHRISTIANS" to demean them {Act 11:26} it was like saying they will all suffer and die miserably like their leader who claimed he is the CHRIST but Jesus disciples claimed it with joy! Act 5:41 compare to Hebrews 11:24-25
How come the Christians were never called Jehovah witness but Christian, which mean christ followers?
Jesus said his disciples would be his witness? Why did he not say they will be Jehovah’s witness?

The name was to be revealed in our own time as the GROUP NAME for all worshipers of God from Abel till today! 1Peter 1:12 compare to Isaiah 65:15

who do you really follow, Jesus who said you his followers will be his witness or a spirit that spoke to a certain group thousands of years later?

Can't you see the irony? You said you can't be called Jesus witness but chose to be Jehovah witness instead does that not tell you that you are not following christ?
Don't reply hastily think about it.

Fine

Key: qualified man is present. In other words women can pastor and are pastor. This is where I am heading.

Nothing in that account says anyone not a pastor is not part of God's household. Emphasis on the foundation of God's household.
He didn't say foundation of God's household.

Your anything wrong here should include women being pastors presence or absence of men
The text here says "A woman should not usurp authority over a man" denoting the presence of a man and since only qualified men can teach then it means qualified men. It is not my words.

Legalism is making laws on what is not to legislated since where the spirit of God operate there is freedom.
when has church organization and order become legalism?
Freedom does not mean doing whatever we like or whatever we feel it means freedom to serve the Lord the way he wants.

Does not mean God can create disorder to accomplish his purpose. Division and disorder have its benefits
Disorder can benefit carnality not the Spirit.

I don't know what I should make of this explanation. Both are called and sent by God to speak and both establish so many things.
There shouldn't be contention here. When has "woman not usurping authority over a man" mean a woman can never ever serve or God can never ever speak to her.
We should be careful of adding to the word of God what is not included, that was how the serpent deceived eve, she added to God' word, this is the exact same method he is using.

Does not means division and disorder by God don't have benefit. The gifts given are divided or different all geared towards the same purpose.

When we refuse to submit to the order stipulated in the church we are walking disorderly.

2 Thessalonians 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Anybody not walking according to the tradition of the apostle is walking disorderly.

You stifle the spirit in the face of legalisms and regimentation because not all things you see as being orderly are really in order.
what spirit would be stifled by the order and traditions of the church? Certainly not the Holy Spirit.

Is it necessary for a women to look for a man to pastor over her in a case where just two women is the church here?
I Timothy said a woman should not usurp authority over a man, meaning Paul is speaking of when a qualified man is present.

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
Are you saying that anyone who is not a pastor is not part of God's household? I am not sure why you brought this text.

Now going by your pastor thing....

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
It is not my pastor thing..
I don't see how this actually prove anything.

Some will say this goes in order.....

Apostles, Prophets before pastor. All this legislation and legalisms stifle the essence of those gifts in the first place which is to.....

Whatever is to be done as a man or woman do it as to God not to men. It allows free flow of the spirit.

No it is not legalism, legalism is when one depends on works to be saved.
Just as God is holy, God is also a God of order.

Yes Apotles comes first before prophet and them pastors. The reason is that prophets speaks directly from God while the apostles establishes doctrines for the church.

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

It is actually the other way round the holy Spirit does not flows well in a church that is not in order.

If you believe that Paul is an Apostle of Christ and that his word stands as witness against whoever disagree with what is written in the scriptures i believe that's OK you have made your point clear the idea of calling me "brother" or i calling you "brother" doesn't work in our midst once you are against what is written in the scriptures. Galatians 1:8 compare to 2John 10-11
So i ask you again:

Is Deeperlifer Church right to make a female the head in the presence of baptized males?

If your answer is "YES" then you and i can't relate as brothers but if it's "NO" then we can proceed into other scriptural topics to set matters straight through the lense of the scriptures. 2Timothy 3:16

The idea of acknowledging you when we are not in agreement on scriptural topics is what led to thousands of religions with contradicting teachings and conflicting doctrines all claiming they are Christians today but since Jehovah's Witnesses stands out to condemn such confusion they're all hypocritically criticizing Jehovah's Witnesses.

So if you stand on what the scriptures teaches on this topic then you and i can continue using the scriptures to set matters straight but if not then we must go our separate ways.

Thanks! smiley

I totally agree with your submission .
I was not trying to compare Adeboye with Paul. maximumSide understands. He and his club does not see anything good in any other ministry. In fact, when they bring a character out wether in the past or contemporary times, it to rubbish their works. That is why I made reference to Adeboye. If Adeboye or Kumuyi or any other sneezed, it would be prophecy to them. The other day Pastor Kumuyi said ,in an interview, that God would use our president to better the lot of Nigeria. He was asked by a journalist. The response was Kumuyi has prophesied. I was in Deeper Life before and even now, I have never heard pastor Kumuyi prophesying. Not once especially on media.

However, concerning female pastors, evangelists, and the rest, it is mere nomenclature these days. A Christian music artiste would call herself evangelist. A prophetess would like to use Prophetess XYZ. In some ministries, CAC, for instance, all the biblical offices and nomenclatures are used. In Salvation Army military titles are used . In the early days of Deeper Life, no one went by the title, ' Pastor '. Everyone was 'Bro.'

As I pointed out, there are female ministers of the gospel that stood out with landmark results with mighty manifestations. I mentioned some that I know. It a universal thing. If I cannot understand why? Can I condemn them their works, the Holy Spirit that backed them? Some the ministries they left behind have endured more than a century. If they were wrong, why did God allow it? Deut. 29:29.

I believe that the letter written by Paul to address a particular situation, as good as it was, if other things shows up to be contrary but not destructive. Only God knows why. I belong to a group that believes that God still speaks. If my daughter comes to me and claims that God has called her to pastoral ministry, and God didn't tell me anything, will I go against her conviction? Not at all. That would be her personal truth.

Do I now say that the Holy Spirit in the life of Paul is different from the One now? Not at all. Will the Holy Spirit contradict Himself, let God be true and every man a liar.

Thanks so much brother.
thanks so much for your honest submission, as you have rightly said let God be true and every man a liar.
As Christians we don't believe in having personal truths, it calls for concern for a Christian to have his or her truth. However, I am not saying God can't work mightily through a female, yes God can but however, it does not automatically mean that she is a pastor. Being a pastor is not just a matter of personal desire but that individual must be qualified to be.

Can you see that Paul was writing here using his own wisdom to set things straight? Eccl. 10:10

Is every word in the Bible inspired? The same way you will say Adeboye said, he would eat pound yam. You will Adeboye prophesied, be would eat pounded yam. gringrin

Anyway, Deeper Life has female pastors and RCCG too. I like them both.
I think you are wrong here, you can't compare Apostle Paul with Adeboye.
The bible was not dictated by God but God inspired people to write it down for the benefit for his people.
All scripture is given by inspiration.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

It is the writings that are inspired meaning even when Satan spoke, God inspired men to write it down.
Every scripture is given for doctrine and corrections in righteousness.

The apostles had authority over the church to set doctrines for the church. Because Paul is an Apostle he had authority to set doctrines for the churches, apart the 12 apostles and Paul no other person has this authority.

That is why men of God can write books but their books cannot be taking as scriptures.
When paul said 'I'for example he means it is not a direct command from the Lord however however, true and binding for the church.

For example in 1Timothy Paul said "I will meaning this is not a dialect command form the Lord but nevertheless true and the church should abide by it.
1 Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

As for women being pastors, there are arguments for women being pastors in the church because there where female prophets and Deborah was a Judge and also Aquila was mentioned that she and her husband instructed apollos, in addition junia was called a minister.
I don't think these arguments stand because first, the old testament national Israel is not the same as the church secondly, a prophet is different from a pastor, a woman can be a prophet it is very in the new testament.

Acts 21:8 And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. 21:9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

Neither Is the argument about if a woman can be an evangelist or serve in the church.

The issue is that pastoral leadership is primarily for competent men. Mind you not every man can be a pastor because some people will say we are all one in Christ then why the restriction?

when it comes to the church pastoring is for a competent man.

You can't mention the name of someone and say "he is this, he is that" and when you're asked to prove what you're saying you open the book in your hand to justify your claim.
Is it everyone that believes in what's written inside the book in your hand? undecided
You don't need the bible to know there is God.

People had faith in God before the coming of Christ and Christ himself is God, christ became a human to die so that anyone who believes in him would be saved regardless if they know him in the flesh or not.

And this is where you have been greatly misled for if you read the bible you would see that Doing the right and the good IS THE COMMANDMENT AND LAW OF GOD!

And we require salvation because we do the wrong and evil.

So, its stands to good reason that you must comply with God's Commands and Laws first even before He decides that you should not be punished.

Even when you are called to judge, do you not demand and require the subjects to obey you first? Imagine judging a disobedient and rebelous accused, shall judgment be in his favour?

If no,, now you have an idea of how Law works!

The law is good but no man can be justified by the law because you need to be practically sinless to get a pass mark, and there is only one man that was sinless who got the pass mark and that is Jesus christ, The rest of us have failed miserably. So when it comes to the law or legality we have all failed and hence only the mercy of God can save us, however that mercy is found in Jesus christ and we recieve it through faith in him.

Thank you. I have issues with believers thinking we have nothing to do now other than just "rest" in the finished works of Christ but there is nothing more heretic than legalism.
Resting in Christ finished work means to cease from striving earn salvation but instead accept that we have it already in Christ and it alsomeans to stop trying to attain righteousness through our works but rather accept the one given to us in Christ Jesus.
What we are called to do is to ensure we are truly in christ (assurance of salvation).
Many Christians confuse assurance of salvation with trying to earn salvation. We don't earn salvation but receive by grace through faith in christ, but however we must ensure that we are truly saved this is through the fruit that is produced in our life.

HYPERGRACE AND HYPERGENTLE PREACHERS THAT UNDEREMPHASIZE THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN

Hypergrace preachers deceive you into believing that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross has assured you heaven irrespective of whether you live a sinful life or not.
Please note that the purpose of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross was not to assure you and I of heaven, but to give us a chance of heaven and to spiritually reunite humanity with God. Yes, God gave us His only Son, so that we may not perish as long as we believe in Him (John 3:16), but you and I should demonstrate our belief in Him by living a righteous life. Please note that failure to live a righteous life can make you a candidate of hell despite Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.
However, hypergrace preachers will lie to you that your past, present and future sins have been washed away with Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. They do this so that you can keep on carrying your sins towards the gates of hell whilst wrongly believing that you are guaranteed salvation. Hypergrace preachers also preach in a hypergentle tone that is so gentle that it can be likened to a romantic tone. They do this in order to promote the idea of grace and under emphasize the consequences of sin which is hellfire.Although hypergrace preachers are found everywhere in the world, they are mainly found in so called developed countries. Hypergrace preachers sell more there because they already have a rich economy.

when it comes to the gospel there are two categories of heresies one is legalism and the other is license. There is actually nothing as hypergrace, slavery to sin is not grace it is bondage.
The gospel has nothing to do with economy, color, height etc.
Legalists believe in earning salvation through their works and license takes advantage of the grace of God to live after their fleshly lusts.
What you just did here is legalism.

No christ did not die to give us a chance he died so that anyone who believes in him recieves eternal life and anyone that has eternal life will never perish.
The right gospel is God send his son Jesus christ to die for us (humans) so that when we believe in him we will have eternal life, all who believes in Jesus becomes new creature (born again) as a result they live their lives for him.
Works are a product of salvation not a cause of salvation.

Be it doctrinal or other aspects of religious teachings, Apostle Joshua Selman and Dr. Abel Damina do justice to them, but with different strategies.

From the very first day I heard them teach the gospel I knew these are the type of teachings that are relevant in the 21st century.

However, one has made so many friends and the other so many enemies.

What makes the difference – strategy!

If you’ve ever loved truth and you like to say it the way it is, you will amass a lot of enemies until you learn to say it the right way.

There is this misconception that people hate the truth

That’s obviously not true.

The point is – nobody wants to be bullied, downplayed, or insulted by your truth.

And because no one is perfect, if you beam your light on other people’s weaknesses, they will do the same to you.

And if you call that an attack on you, it means you just displayed some level of hypocrisy

People want to hear the truth, they want to be corrected, but they want you to do that with love, care, and caution.

Obviously, Dr. Abel Damina needs to change his approach to propagating the gospel

Same gospel with a different strategy

He is getting too many enemies already, and it’s not good for his social and mental health.

It’s beginning to seem like he is seeking relevance, instead of impacting lives.

The same applies to all aspects of life – business, investment, and even real estate investing.

Your strategy sets you apart from the rest

It determines if you will excel, be mediocre, or be an experienced professional not known beyond his local area.
