As I thought, you can't show anything, because it was a Southie who said Nigeria and Cameroon were being whipped by BH.

And BTW we have killed thousands of BH, not hundreds, so don't come trying to brag here.

You are the one who came here to say you are not like Nigeria. You brought the insults. Every story has two sides. We know the daily successes of our Armed Forces. We don't rely on the foreign press to massage our egos or even claim victories that are not ours, like your armed forces tried to do in Konduga.

A. Frigates(Valour class)

1. One frigate undergoing maintenance.
2. One frigate used for training and qualifying crews.

3. One frigate at sea.
4. One frigate held at reserve.

B. Submarines.(Heroine class)

1. One submarine undergoes maintenance.
2. One submarine at sea.
3. One submarine used for training and qualifying crews.

If an emergency arises the CSANDF will always at any given have a frigate and submarine capability.

Nigeria's "coast guard" can't even defend its self against 1 warrior class OPV, 1 frigate and a submarine.

And you accuse us of being in denial? grin

“In case the aim of this misinformation is to further the design of those bent on discrediting the government and the military, all well-meaning people should consider it as a disservice to humanity. It is important to remind those who are adept at spewing falsehood or exaggerating situations with intent to embolden the terrorists and diminish the efforts of the security forces, that their actions are inimical to the safety of the innocent Nigerians who have borne the brunt of the terrorist attacks in our country.” Olukolade further said that the tendency to celebrate the occasional setbacks while downplaying the efforts and successes at containing the terrorists was unfair and very unfortunate. “It is noteworthy that many international bodies are being misled in their interpretation of the situation owing to sensational headlines and stories,” he said.

Show me the "good parts" of that article i left out. Whoever wants to read the full article can click on the link.

It also says operations are ongoing and when you read it, you will understand that any statement by the General is followed by a negative commentary. This is what we have to put up with whether true or not. @Henry120's article posted on the previous page says it all. Every conceivable opportunity to run down the armed services is taken and all the successes that are ongoing and have happened are largely ignored by both the domestic and foreign media. Who has to gain by this? I have been consistent in saying this.

Nigeria calls for support after 'deadliest' Boko Haram attack

Abuja - Nigeria's military has called for support in tackling Boko Haram after a major attack on a key northeast town that is feared could be the worst in the bloody six-year insurgency.

Nigeria's military - West Africa's largest - has faced repeated criticism for failing to end the six-year Islamist insurgency, as well as allegations of human rights abuses.Appropriate plans

Soldiers have complained of a lack of adequate weapons and even refused to deploy to take on the better-armed rebels, who want to create a hardline Islamic state in northeast Nigeria.

As usual Southies with selective news, even editing reports. Again, doesn't mean it is accurate. Usual hyping of BH and playing down the Armed Forces. Doesn't mean it is accurate.

Everything is on track:

Boko Haram destroys 16 towns and villages in a wave of attackes in the area where they captured your FOB

Is that on track?

Events have overtaken that story. Cherry picking stories doesn't make it the most current. An offensive is ongoing.

Both government and military.

Your command council has not displayed any level of competency by recognizing what exactly BH is doing, and putting forward a strategy of dealing with them.

Instead you tried to scary them by deploy massive troops and putting the entire NE population in a bottle.

Maybe with saffers things will change.

It shows you have little understanding of how an insurgency works and methods they use.

I will let The American Spectator educate you;

the terrorists are pretty much following the book on revolutionary warfare. Mix it up. Hit and run. Confuse the enemy. Sow dissension among his tactical allies.

And, of course, show the population the government cannot defend them. That is crucial. Do it ruthlessly: kill village heads or officials or patriarchs. Kidnap girls, boys, young men: turn them into sex workers by any other name, hard-labor slavers, or even child soldiers. The West Africans — the Africans generally — have decades of experience with child soldiers. Adroitly exploited, such kids are useful to ruthless radicals. They are terrified. They are psychotic. They are expendable. This is revolutionary war.

BH actions right now are beyond words.

I don't get how a person would even ignore what's happening in Baga, to show sympathy for the French.

How do you know I have been ignoring it?

You would understand my solidarity with any country suffering terrorism if you had any idea what it is really like.

This is the same reason your president is being bombard on social media, for condemning and expressing sympathy for the Paris shootings while totally avoiding the slaughter of civilians in Baga since Saturday.

The lives of those poor Nigerians in the North are unworthy, deserve no attention? No resting in peace?

Haven't seen nor heard any Nigerian expressing sympathy for them.

If it satisfies you, RIP to the innocents lost in Baga. I was showing solidarity with France and and I don't have to paste messages on Nairaland to show my solidarity with my fellow Nigerians.

Remember it ain't the government that murdered these people and military operations are currently ongoing in Baga and other areas in the NE.

BTW, I would like to know the person/people who went to count 2,000 people that died. Watch out for the usual exaggeration. Elections round the corner.

France has two terrorists in two different cities holding France to ransom at this very minute.

88,000 French police, intelligence, and military forces are surrounding a town where just 2 terrorists are locking down a territory of France.

Nigeria is doing very well against Boko Haram, as good as any NATO or European military, paramilitary or intelligence service

France is struggling at home inside Paris.
.

Alas the hostages have been killed along with the 3 terrorists at both locations. RIP to the hostages and just shows it isn't like Hollywood Films when the real thing hits you.

Guys, don't waste your time arguing with these Southies who only read and paste anti-Nigeria sentiments. We know what is happening and what the agenda is.

As already stated, there is a deliberate attempt to ignore the daily success of the Nigerian Military by the anti-government press at home and abroad (we all know the publications in question) and blow out of all proportion BH attacks to make them appear credible.

We will all see over the next few weeks what will happen and the sudden amnesia that will befall these publications.

Who will dismiss the content of this piece? Or, will they shoot the messenger that is Sahara, as usual?

http://dailypost.ng/2014/12/28/generals-corrupt-fight-boko-haram-sahara-reporters-carpets-nigerian-army/

A Nigerian news site, Sahara Reporters, accused by the Nigerian Army of working for the Boko Haram sect, has taken the security organisation to the cleaners, calling it a “petty organisation” filled with Generals who specialise in deploying troops to attack the news organisation on twitter.

Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, told The Paradigm that he is not in anyway surprised the Nigeria Army has resorted to name-calling.

Dismissing the allegation against Sahara Reporters, the New York-based journalist said, “The US Government was similarly accused of working for Boko Haram for refusing to sell helicopters to the Nigerian Army.

The Nigerian Army has been reduced to a petty organization. The other day they deployed their men chasing after newspaper delivery vans across Nigeria because some were critical of their handling of the anti-terrorism fight.

Continuing, Sowore stated that “Since they (Nigerian Army) can’t find or arrest our (Sahara Reporters) copies, they’ve resorted to cheap blackmail. The content of the petition clearly speaks on how Boko Haram could be defeated; states why they haven’t been defeated.

“The petition indicted senior military officers including stating how a GOC was diverting money and food, and also building a mansion in Kaduna. But instead of investigating and acting on the content of the petition, the military hierarchy is engaging in subterfuge and deflecting public attention from the real issues.

“We join the long line of conscientious watchdogs branded by the Nigerian authorities for saying and reporting the truth,” Sahara Reporters publisher said.

Sowore added “The Nigerian Army needs to return to being a serious and respectable fighting force in Africa not an organization of generals whose only skills are limited to deploying troops to fight dirty on Twitter”

Talk about side-stepping the issue. it is now about the alleged "truths", which they can't prove and not about the ficticious author of the letter.

I hail SR. No style or credibility.
