Sensational singer Chinyere Aharanwa, a.k.a Kryztal, is one singer who believes more in hard work rather than selling her God-given beauty.

The talented singer with her ignore-me-if-you-can eyes and her warm and enchanting smile can win the heart of any man any day, but recently, pretty Kryztal’s faith in her odd but Godly belief was tempted, courtesy of a mouthwatering offer from a man she has never seen in her life.

It is a common practice in the Nigerian show business for girls to receive gifts from all sorts of men and pay back in kind. An independent research published by as soft sell magazine recently suggested that over 90 percent of Nigerian female celebrities make a bulk of their fortunes from rich men whose beds they warm. Some of them have agents who arrange clients for them, since it is their main source of income.

However, some of them still hold on to the belief that the art music or movie which they engage in will put food on their tables. One of this few is sonorous singer, Kryztal. The talented singer has enthralling eyes and a smile that instantly enchants men. In several of her interviews, Kryztal has always maintained her decision not to trade her beauty for money or any other worldly materials. Her faith was recently tested when a businessman, names withheld, presented her with a cheque of N13 million and an exotic Porshe Cayenne car.

To the surprise of everyone around her, Kryztal rejected the gift on the grounds that she wouldn’t want to grant the request that will follow the gift. When contacted on the story, this versatile singer confirmed the gift and the rejection.

“It is true one of my fans communicated with me and said he is so crazy about my songs and performance. He told me he has a Porsche Cayenne Car gift for me and N13 million. I rejected the car gift and his N13million, because I don’t know him,” she said.

Reacting to the allegation that most female celebs are prostitutes, Kryztal whose singles ‘As E Dey Hot’ is enjoying airplay, says, “It’s a wrong impression to label female artistes prostitutes. Being a prostitute is a personal thing, irrespective of your profession.”

“What you wear on stage does not necessarily mean that is what your wear on the road. You wear sexy wear on stage to gain your fans attention.”

83 year old televangelist and media mogul Pat Robertson says that all men have a tendency to cheat and it's a wife’s duty is to keep her man faithful, by focusing on the positive and making sure the home is so enticing he doesn’t want to stray. Robertson said this while responding to a question from a viewer who wrote:

“I’ve been trying to forgive my husband for cheating on me. We have gone to counseling, but I just can’t seem to forgive, nor can I trust. How do you let go of the anger? How do you trust again?"

The actress and Actors Guild of Nigeria president was involved in a car accident in 2006 which led to the death of a medical doctor. She hit his car along the Lekki/Epe Expressway in Lagos. She was sentenced to five years imprisonment for manslaughter in 2009 but only spent a few months there. She came out of prison a completely changed woman, bidding farewell to alcohol, cigarettes and partying. The single mother of three who is now a born again Christian is setting up a foundation to cater for the welfare of families of accident victims. Ibinabo explains:

“I do have a foundation which I’m setting up. In 2006, I had an accident and a medical doctor, Mr. Suraj Giwa died in the process. A lot of things went wrong, I was sent to jail because of the accident.

It is quite painful, it’s taking me this long because I needed to find myself again. The foundation is going to be for the families of accident victims. I’m going to get people to talk to them and to heal their wounds. What I went through, I was healed by the grace of God.”

The Nigerian Army yesterday formally commenced air and ground hostilities against Boko Haram under emergency regulations in thick forests in Sambisa, Borno State in an area the sect was reported to have used as a recruiting and training base.

A senior military officer source told SaharaReporters under conditions of anonymity that the soldiers attacked the area and dislodged the sect members who fled the heavy military onslaught.

The source said that there is yet to be any serious offensive mounted by the sect, stressing that the Nigerian Army is backed by the Nigerian Air Force who are part of the operations.

The source also told us that soldiers are hunting down members of the Boko Haram sect in all their identified bases in Gashua, Yobe state. Banks and other public and government businesses have been instructed to suspend their operations.

Meanwhile, a 6pm to 6am curfew has been imposed on Yola, Adamawa State, starting today, as part of the crackdown against Boko Haram.

The sect is yet to react in their usual video style or press releases to the latest developments.

I’m a dreamer, and I don’t mean that in the literal sense or in the literal context of going to sleep and dreaming even though that’s very nice because that’s when I get to drive and play golf.

But a picture of an average guy who lies down and faces the ceiling and just dreams away. Fortunately for me, a lot of things I have dreamt about in my life have come true. I believe strongly that one of the strong elements that fuel my very strong sense of imagination and my ability to dream is the gift of blindness. And I’m going to share with you, a couple of things that I have leant and a couple of life lessons that could be invaluable to you as well that I have learnt from Blindness.

So to start with, I will state the obvious fact that I was born blind. No one else in my family of six children is blind. There’s no known cause. No links. No explanation. Just the reality that I cannot see with my eyes.
I was born and raise in the military barracks. I don’t mean the great side of the military barracks but the other side of the military barracks. I lived in a small block of 18 two bedroom flats. I shared a flat my two parents, my three siblings and whatever stray pet came out way at a time. As well as my father’s Honda Roadmaster 180 Motorcylce, which slept in the living room with me and my siblings for fear that one of its mirrors might be stolen by morning.

In my neighborhood there were always something to look forward to. My mornings were characterized by news of whose pumping machine had been stolen by morning or squabbles between neighbours over who had eaten their chicken. Actually some people try to resolve the chicken situation by tying to attach a piece of red things on their chicken legs. I don’t know how well it works…


Now, blindness does not have any physical, psychological or social meaning. Since I’ve never experienced sight, wasn’t aware that I was without sight. And so, I indulged in the innocence of young boyhood. I ran downstairs, jumped over gutters, played hard. Fought even harder. And got into any imaginable trouble that a Skinny young child could get into.

On a number of Occasions, I ran into walls.

So how do you know this guy's the real thing and not just some womanizer who's going to disappear after your first slumber party? While the only way to know for sure is to pass the test of time, here are a few red flags that would definitely indicate your new man's a womanizer:

1. He has a reputation. If your girlfriends have warned you that he uses women and throws them away, you need to listen to them and know he's most likely a womanizer. Granted, there's a small chance that you are the woman who can change him, but even if you do, you'll just wind up spending the rest of your relationship worrying he's going to revert back to his old womanizing ways. 2. He moves fast. Before you've even had a chance to meet his friends and family, he's telling you that

It's much more likely that he's just in love with love (best case), or he's just trying to get one thing from you (you know what it is). We all love romantic gestures, whether it be a hand-written poem or a bouquet of flowers delivered to our desks at work, but if your guy constantly wants to jet you off to the islands for a romantic weekend or often surprises you with lavish jewelry, then he's most likely had plenty of practice. While you might be thinking that you're just graciously accepting his gifts, to him, these come with expectations on your part.

4. He only has eyes for you… and anything else in a skirt. If you notice that your guy is checking out other women, or worse, flirting with the waitress, hostess, barrister, etc., then he's most likely a womanizer. Aggrieved staff and journalists at the popular Nigerian media outfit, Leaders and Company Limited (publishers of THISDAY Newspaper), today May 9, 2013, shut down the media house in protest of non-payment of their wages.

It would be recalled that the embattled Chairman/Editor-in-Chief, Nduka Obaigbena, last month
blamed the company’s failure to pay its workers’ salaries for the past six months on the activities of Boko Haram.
An online publication, The Eagle Online, in a two-part series, narrated the challenges some of Thisday staff face.

The online medium had said that the lack of salaries has negatively affected the workers to an extent that two of them – Agaga Silver, a staff in the maintenance sector of the Lagos office, and the Gombe State Correspondent, Saka Ibrahim, recently lost their lives after management failed to meet their requests for their salaries to enable them pay for their hospital bills when they took ill.

It also cited the case of the Cross River State Correspondent, Jude Okwe, who is suffering from a serious kidney condition and cannot afford the medical bill, hence, the state government took up the bill.
That perhaps explained why irate staff in conjunction with the Nigerian Union of Journalists decided to seal off the operations of Thisday to compel the management to address the issue properly.

Although Obaigbena, in a memo to the staff, last month promised to clear the debt within 30 days, it is obvious he doesn't wish to fulfil such obligation.

The memo read: “Dear Colleagues, following several enquiries, I write to notify you that we are working very hard to pay delayed salaries,” Mr. Obaigbena said in the memo to the workers. “The process has already started in Abuja and should end within the next 30 days when ALL arrears of salaries and entitlements would have been settled and we resume payments when due.”

“As you are well aware, as a company, we had long put the issue of delayed salaries behind us and staff were being paid on time when we had the misfortune of a terrorist attack on our Abuja offices in April last year during which our buildings, million-Dollar printing and computer-to-plate equipment were gutted. And we sadly lost two lives – one of whom was our security official.

“Our insurance did not cover the losses as we were not insured for War Risk – no one planned for a terror attack in Nigeria and so we were left to fend for ourselves. Despite that, we continued to meet our commitments as due. But when the cost of outsourcing printing to third parties caught up with us, things began to slow,” Mr. Obaigbena said.
He said “after paying over N600 million in unplanned costs to outside printers, we began to feel the pain from October last year when many of you began to experience some delays in salary payments.”

“We could have cut costs by reducing staff, but given the circumstances we chose keep all staff until things got better. For many it is so easy to forget we had a terror attack and are losing monies everyday because of it.
“What we have decided to do is to sell non-core assets to pay off all debt and buy new printing and production equipments for Abuja. That process is on.

I just thought in view of the current negativity, I should communicate directly with you all, to assure you that all will be well. I thank you for your understanding and continuing loyalty to the company. We Shall Overcome. With continuing regards, Nduka,” the memo read.

Whichever way you tend to look at it, this might not be the best of time for THISDAY (touted as one of the foremost standard news media in Nigeria).

SAKA controversial move from Etisalat to MTN as a brand face seems to have changed his fortune for good and he has also confirmed it.

“To the glory of God, level don change. Let me put it like that. I believe that in the nearest future, level will finally change. But now, level don dey change. I have murdered poverty and God has finally murdered it for me. I am no longer poor, but very comfortable.”

Oyetoro, who has also established himself as an actor and a popular face on TV, also recently stirred the scene. This is courtesy of his ‘shocking’ appearance in the MTN’s I don port advert, a commercial that many have described as an excellent one – not minding the fact that some believe it is a below-the-belt jab for Etisalat, the telecoms company for which he worked as an advertising model for some time.

Ever since Oyetoro’s crossover, in which he is required to lead a major advertising campaign to drive the network portability initiative by Nigerian Communication Commission, Nigerians have not stopped talking about him and his amazing rise to fame and riches.

The deal is believed to be worth about N20m, which is enough to give the hardworking and self-effacing actor a clean break from poverty. But while the man himself has declined to comment on the positive twist in his fortune, he was recently quoted in THE NEWS as saying that he had finally conquered poverty.

In a telephone interview with Punch, SAKA said he was not ready to talk about his new contract with the telecommunications company. “For now, I don’t want to say anything. I promise you that I will talk at the appropriate time,” he said.

But when asked if his new responsibilities as a brand ambassador for MTN would not clash with his job at the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, he replied, “I am a responsible civil servant. My duty is to teach other people’s children well, just as I would expect others to teach mine. So I cannot abandon my job. I assure you, everything has been taken care of.”

A few years ago, little was known about Oyetoro.
Although he studied Theatre Arts at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ago Iwoye worked as a part-time lecturer at the Olabisi Onabanjo University before moving to Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education in Ijanikin, Oyetoro remained relatively obscure for a long while.

In those days, he managed to appear in a few insignificant theatre productions, in which he played mostly comic roles. It took a while before the qualities that would raise him a notch higher than most of his peers began to manifest.

First, Nollywood came calling with an opportunity to establish himself as a regular face on the lighted screen. Oyetoro, who was burning up with a desire to prove himself, had to grab it. Still, a few years later and with appearances in hundreds of Nollywood films to his credit, he was far from hitting the limelight.

Then another opportunity presented itself. This time, it came from Centrespread, an advertising agency. The agency wanted him to be their model for its advertising campaigns with Etisalat. The deal clicked and Oyetoro’s transformation began in earnest. That was when, for the purpose of the campaigns, he assumed a new identity: he became known ‘Saka’, a character that he helped create in 2004 for a TV comedy series titled ‘House A-part’.

Eventually, Oyetoro became the face of Etisalat campaigns. Within a short time, Saka had become a household name and Oyetoro could look forward to a brighter future free of the clutches of poverty.

In an interview published on the Internet, the actor cum lecturer admitted that he was involved in a bitter struggle against poverty for a long time.

Hear him: “Poverty was my friend and family for a long time. As you sit with me here side by side, that was how I was sitting with poverty in the past. There was a lady who disqualified me because I didn’t have a car. But, thank God, I eventually got a wife who genuinely loves me and who I genuinely love.”

Following the recent Boston Marathon bombings, masterminded by two immigrant brothers one of whom is in the USA on a student visa, American lawmakers are critically looking into immigration laws, and making reforms.

One of such reforms which will leave many Nigerian hopefuls devastated, is the cancellation of the Diversity Visa or the DV Visa lottery programme.

Africans could be the big losers as the United States reforms its immigration laws and eliminates the green card lottery, of which Africans are the main beneficiaries.

Half of the 50,000 residence permits handed out at random each year are earmarked for Africans. It is a hugely popular program that has allowed hundreds of thousands of Africans to settle in America since the mid 1990s.

But the ambitious reform project under debate now in Washington, which would provide papers for million undocumented immigrants, contains a clause that would do away with the lottery.
In its place would be a more selective immigration system based on skills, career and family ties.

For years the lottery has been in the crosshairs of Republicans, who control the House of Representatives and say it adds no value to the American economy.

“It’s clear that there are better ways to allocate visas than to randomly give them out through a lottery system,” said Bob Goodlatte, the Republican who leads the House Judiciary Committee. “Our immigration laws shouldn’t be based on the luck of the draw; rather, they should be designed strategically to benefit our country.”

The ‘diversity visa,’ as it is known formally, is set aside for people from countries that do not experience a lot of emigration. So Mexicans, Chinese and Filipinos, for instance, are not eligible. Africans quickly became the main ones to cash in.

All applicants need is a high school diploma or two years of work experience.

Between 2010 and 2012, one in five Africans who came to the United States to stay did so through the lottery. That made it the third most common method, at 21 percent of the total, after family reunification (43%) and refugee status or asylum seekers (23%).

By comparison, in the same period only 10 percent of Europeans who became permanent residents and 3% of Asians did so through the lottery.

“It has proven to be a way of helping those who come from the continent of Africa, those who come from a number of other areas where it is very difficult to get a visa,” said Sheila Jackson Lee, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, whose members are all Democrats.

But in an effort to preserve the comprehensive reform being negotiated for months by the two parties, the Democrats and President Barack Obama agreed to ditch the lottery.

Representative Charles Schumer, who authored the program in 1990, said it was impossible to keep it.

Schumer said the system that will replace it in 2017 is merit-based and will also give Africans a chance. On average they are more educated than people from other continents. And English-speaking Africans would get a boost because of that language skill.

But Michael Fix of the Migration Policy Institute said, “It really probably won’t admit enough people to offset the effects of the loss of the diversity visa for some years after that. It’s a long time away. It won’t be immediately offset by any means.”

The diversity visas would vanish starting next year under the reform being negotiated.
Only four percent of African immigrants — compared to 21 percent of Asians and 22 percent of Europeans — received a green card for employment reasons in 2012.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People says the number of African immigrants will go down even with the merit-based system.

“In essence, we’re concerned,” said Hilary Shelton, the NAACP Washington bureau director.
Dame Babou, who hosts a radio show that caters to Senegalese people in New York, said the scrapping of the lottery is disheartening for Africans.

“Every year many people thought this was going to be their year,” Babou said. “Again, what is being eliminated is hope.”(AFP)

When it comes to office buildings, does size really matter? It just might, if China’s main state-run newspaper has its way.

The People’s Daily is used to breaking news, but recently it became the news after some dirty, dirty minds realized the paper’s new headquarters was starting to look like, well, a giant joystick.

The building, which stands 150 meters tall, is currently under construction in Beijing. Due to its rather distinctive shaft — er, shape — mischievous pictures of the construction zone began cropping up on China’s Twitter equivalent, Sina Weibo.

More than one person pointed out that, with a little creative Photoshopping, the “Giant joystick” building fit snugly between the “legs” of the infamous China Central Television (CCTV) headquarters, sometimes referred to as the “Big Underpants” building.

Is this creativity or what?

There are a few things that you should "Never Ever Do" on a date. The romantically challenged might want to check out the following advice to make sure that they avoid a social faux-pas that could result in a dating disaster.

First of all,
"never bring a friend with you on a date." This might sound obvious to some, but it is amazing how many people believe that bringing a friend along will a) soothe their nerves, b) make them look less eager and c) express a charming lack of emotional availability to the date that he or she believes will make the date want him or her even more than ever!

The sad truth is that only very emotionally insecure people pad their dates with a third wheel or a posse of friends. Either the date will think that you are too insecure to make decisions (because you have to take a poll to see what your friends think) before you embark on a relationship) or that your relationship history is so bad your dates need to be monitored for quality control.

Another rule to remember is "never ever get too drunk." This one also sounds obvious but it is amazing how one drink leads to another when your nerves are frayed by the sight of a potential lover who makes you too nervous to even eat.
A third law of dating is: "never, ever share too much." —Has anybody else noticed that we live in a confessional culture, one in which we are encouraged to "tell all at first sight"?!
It used to be that one could get to know someone else by asking, "what kind of movies do you like?" or "what kind of books do you read?"

Sometimes it is possible to get to know somebody too well, too soon to the point that knowing all about their little personality quirks and habits turns you right off. This is why you should "never ever give it all away."

When it comes to conversation, sometimes less is more. People who speed-talk, interrogate, brag, blab the family secrets or don't allow you to have one single moment's peace of mind are control freaks. It's like they think that if they are not talking, that they don't somehow exist. It also makes you wonder if you are allowed to have a thought that is NOT about them.

Also, never get too sarcastic. One sure turn-off, for most dates, is the over-use of unsolicited sarcasm. A sarcastic type will tell you that sarcasm is actually a device that is used to charm or woo the opposite sex. That it is a form of humor or discourse that many find witty and entertaining. That it is a way to demonstrate superior intelligence, or your prodigious powers of clarity, precision and personal observation.
Sarcasm is an obvious defense mechanism that is used to mask or disguise something deeply twisted in the personality. Instead of being sarcastic, why don't you just wear a T-shirt that says "Needy, approval seeking and insecure." Most sarcasm sounds like criticism, and criticism (especially if it isn't asked for) is recognized nowadays as verbal abuse.

Never ever lie about your past. Let's face it. Not everyone comes with a clean resume when it comes to relationships. Almost everybody has big mistakes, embarrassments and down right tragedies in his or her past. The question is, how much do you tell your new partner and how much do you lie about it?
There are two schools of thought about this. I tend to lean on the side that says it is a big mistake to talk about your exes to the new amour. For one thing, it can arouse unnecessary jealosy. Take it from someone who has gone out with someone whose previous girlfriend was a supermodel. Believe me, you lie there wondering all night how you could possible compete with the past...

I believe that the less your partner knows about your sordid past the better, yet it is still a bad idea to lie to them if a certain subject that relates to your past comes up. The only possible exception to this rule is the "How many people have you slept with" question. If the number is over seventy and you are only twenty-five and female, it might be a good idea to subtract a few paramours.
"Never ever say I love you (unless you mean it)"

It is a cliche, but apparently playing "hard to get" actually works. It seems that the primal baby that is within all of us just can't stand being left out and ignored and will actually start seeking approval from those who seem to be withholding their affections. Both sexes are apparently turned off by displays of neediness and emotional security, so whatever you do don't reveal how lonely you are, don't reveal anything about your intentions and never ever beg for sex. And if you want to kill the potential relationship, completely, just utter these words "I love you" too soon into the relationship. As most women will tell you, it makes men run screaming for the hills.

This is another Horrific Story! This terrible double murder which also lead to the murderer getting killed happened in the city of Maiquinique, state of Bahia, Brazil. Man found out that his wife was a wh*re and the kid she spawned while she was with him was not his.

Feeling completely destroyed by infidelity and lies, the man returned home and beat his wife to death. When he was done with her, he also took his rage on the bastard son.

36 year old nicknamed “Dai” reportedly beat the head of 19 year old Lima against the bathroom floor until she was dead. 8 months old Erick de Oliveira Lima was reportedly also killed by being repeatedly thrown against the floor. After the deed, the double murderer tried to commit suicide by ingesting poison known as “BB”.

Unfortunately, the poison did not deliver anticipated results and only made the murderer sick. Odair stumbled out of the residence and was helped by a Good Samaritan who took him to a hospital. Not trying to hide who he was, Odair told the nurse right away that he had just killed his ex-wife and her son and that they were dead in the bathroom of her house.

The news of the double murder quickly spread through the community and enraged citizen decided to take justice into their own hands. They broke into the hospital, dragged the half dead man out and beat and kicked and stoned him like mad. Military police tried to intervene with lynching but by the time they got to the crime scene, the victim was already dead.

I’m gonna say this alright; I don’t care how people take it, the days when marriages were sweet and all beautiful are no more. If you listen to how your parents got married and how those days it was sweet, it’s not like that anymore. The four brides dressed in flowing white gowns walked down the aisle together, before saying “We do” to the 44-year-old groom. Mr Mbele says he didn’t marry them purely for the spectacle but also because it made financial sense.
“I don’t know how much four different weddings would have cost me but I know doing it all at once saved money,” he explains.

“For example I only needed one tent, I needed to hire one caterer and one photographer for the entire ceremony.”
He says he loves all his wives – Thobile Vilakazi, Zanele Langa, Baqinisile Mdlolo and Smangele Cele – equally and also treats them that way.

The wives say they were shocked by the news that Mr Mbele wanted to marry them at once but add that they agreed because they love him.Some two weeks after their much publicised two-day ceremony, Mr Mbele says he is overwhelmed by all the attention his wedding has attracted.

Mr Mbele, a Zulu businessman and municipal manager, says polygamy is still very much part of Zulu tradition.
“My grandfather himself had three wives,” says Mr Mbele, quickly adding that he isn’t blindly following in his grandfather’s footsteps.

No fewer than nine candidates going to sit for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations today were feared dead in an auto crash on the Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway.

The Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Police Command, Mr Geoffrey Ogbonna, said seven persons, including the driver died instantly while two others died later in hospital. The police did not identify the victims.


The police image maker said that the candidates were travelling on a Hiace bus with registration number Rivers XY 249 from Port Harcourt to Aba. Ogbonna said that the driver of the bus rammed into a truck with with registration number Lagos XC 109 SLK, parked off the road.

He said that the accident occurred at Obeaku-Ihie in the Ugwunagbor Local Government Area of Abia at about 10.40 a.m.

Ogbonna said that the dead had been deposited at the mortuary while six survivors of the accident were in critical condition and receiving medical attention in a hospital Aba.

He said that the 15 seater-bus, was conveying mainly people, going to sit for the JAMB examination, slated for 27 April.

According to him, the clue comes from the items recovered at the scene of the accident.
A witness, Mr Peter Okolo, attributed the accident to over-speeding and recklessness on the part of the driver.

He said that the driver lost control of the vehicle when he wanted to overtake a vehicle in front of him.
“When he saw an upcoming vehicle while he was over-taking the car in front of him, he veered off the road and then rammed into the truck parked off the road,” Okolo said

Another week, another Kim Kardashian headline. This time, Star Magazine reports that Kim has been miserable since her pregnancy, and upset that Kanye West seems to be absent from her life.

Star’s source claims, “He barely talks to her, claiming he’s too busy recording in Paris. Kanye refuses to record in the United States because he claims he’s more ‘on point’ in Paris. He told Kim that his mind is so tangled with baby thoughts and fears that it’s messing with his creativity.”

The source even added, “Kim is scared she’ll be left to raise the baby alone — or, worse, that she’ll be back in court, battling him for custody.”

Now, while we love every chance we get to harp on Kim and Kanye’s ridiculous relationship, it would be incredibly sad for her to raise the baby without Kanye.

No doubt, many single mothers across the world manage to raise their kids just fine, but Kim isn’t any single mother – if she was the only presence in the kid’s life, there’s no doubt that her family would try to take advantage of that.

Now, if she and Kanye were truly to break up after the baby was born, We honestly can’t see who the custody would go to. But for all intents and purposes, that’s not happening. While Kanye is in Paris and Kim is in the US, they have been seeing each other quite often and Kanye does fly over the US every couple of weeks.

However, with my research lately, i've gotten to find out why truly bald is sexy. Some are forced by nature, while some are self inflicted, anywhich way - what you may find amusing is that the bald head actually entails a lot more maintenance than the normally outgrown hair.

Thanks to super hot Nigerian brothers like Tu Face, Ikechukwu and Banky W, the smooth shave has been made quite iconic. So, fellas and ladies, before you shave off your locks and embrace the bald smoothness, consider the following pro's and con's.

First things first, ensure you have a well structured head. A smooth and well rounded head is the most ideal to pull this off. If you have excessively 'ogored' head, please stick to a normal haircut before you're being consistently slapped in the head by friends (or foes - lol). Always consult your barber or stylist before taking the huge plunge.

Now, maintaining the bald head may be a bit more of a work than you thought. Its about preventing your exposed scalp from the sun, avoiding bums and all the havoc that comes with reckless hair shaving. Experts recommend that you shave your head at the end of a warm shower. It softens the hair, cleans the skin and opens up the pores. Stay away from harsh products that contains menthol. It could severely damage your scalp

With your personal clipper or specialized shaving razor (experts advice that a 3 blade razor works best), gently run through your head (in a back to front motion). Make sure you are in a room with very bright lights and ensure to use a mirror so you wont miss out any spot. When you are done, it is advised that you use a lather in rubbing through to further ensure its properly done. Pay special attention to hidden ends like the back of your ears.
