shymexx: grin grin grin

That's when they start the smear campaign lol...

Real talk!! The next thing they'll say is ' he is cocky' or 'he thinks he's God's gift to women'. It's happened to me a lot. Funny, temptation comes when you least expect undecided.

Peyton Manning, mehnnnn!!! I can't believe my eyes. From 0 - 24 to 35 - 24. This is one for the books. Greatest comeback in Monday night football. He surely deserves to be one of the mount Rushmore QBs ( i wish Eli was on it). Dan Marino's record is on the brinks of being broken. cheesy

I'm a Giant fan but Peyton impressed me tonight.

I'm gonna miss Ray Lewis though at the Ravens.

BMWs are too expensive in the US. If what you guys are saying is true, one might think of importing from Nigeria then. grin
Car Talk / Re: Car U Wish 2 Drive Now by rocka: 3:09am On Sep 06, 2012
The one car I would like to drive is the 2013 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. If I could buy one I'll have one in silver.

Car Talk / Re: Where Do You Park Your Car? by rocka: 4:47am On Aug 28, 2012
- I try to park far away from other cars and shopping carts (especially on a windy day).

- I park close to newer cars.I believe their owners will be more careful pulling out of parking spots.

- Parking close to a utility vehicle is a no no.
Car Talk / Re: The 2012 Toyota Camry - Hit Or Miss? by rocka: 7:56am On Aug 14, 2012
I really don't know what happened to Japanese cars. It seems like the world has gone way ahead of them, even their neighbor - Korea. On the other hand, American cars have come a long way: the 2012 Chrysler 300C and the 2013 Cadillac XTS are both stunning (inside and outside).
Politics / Re: Nigerian Flag Replaced with Biafran Flag At The 2012 Olympics by rocka: 7:45am On Aug 01, 2012
I guess to a layman,Naija and Niger are spelt the same grin. On a more serious note, this says a lot about the organization.
Health / Re: Your Most Hated Exercises At The Gym? by rocka: 4:32pm On Jul 07, 2012
Wallie: 1. Squats
2. Squats
3. Squats
4. Treadmill - after getting off, I feel like I'm about to lose my balance.

I'm one of those very competitive guys. About 10 years ago, I went to the gym with a bunch of friends with the goal of stretching each other out. I sized the guys up and figured that there’s no way I would let them out-lift me in anything, even the bigger guys. Everything was fine and dandy until we started working on our legs. I rarely work on my legs but I knew I was strong enough to lift with anybody my size. Big mistake!

Back then, I typically squat about 275 lbs about once in every 4 months when the stars align but on this particular day, these guys where going up to 315 lbs (3 plates on each side of the barbell). Long story short, I held my breath for way too long during the squats and I built up enough pressure inside me that I got very dizzy and couldn’t hear anything for about a minute. I had to play it off like nothing happened and had to go for a very long walk!

Lol!! Same thing happened to me about 5 months ago except that i actually hit the ground. It was the first time i did 8 reps of 315 - man, you brought back memories grin. I got to believe in the reviving power of Gatorade that day grin

I dare say that if you have not experienced some kind of light-headedness while Squatting then you are not doing it right.

So i agree with Wallie;

1,Squats
2,Squats
3,Squats
TV/Movies / Re: Talking About Hollywood Moviestars Of Nigerian Origin by rocka: 3:28am On Apr 20, 2012
koruji:

Looks a bit like Halle Berry

She sure does if not better. Her role in HBO's 'House of Lies' as Don Cheadle's girlfriend bought me over. Then her appearance in an episode of 'The Game'.......... OMG!!!!

She's actually prettier than she is in the picture above.
Politics / Re: Ikeja Court Jails US Major For 10 Years Over Illegal Possession Of Arms by rocka: 6:43pm On Apr 14, 2012
nakedall: The guy na born in Naija and he never officially drop Naija citizenship - that's another case!
Nah, as a Major in the US Army you'd have no allegiance to any other country or principality. He'll need a visa to visit Nigeria even if he was born there.
Politics / Re: Ikeja Court Jails US Major For 10 Years Over Illegal Possession Of Arms by rocka: 7:16am On Apr 14, 2012
Honestly, this post doesn't make sense. Just like someone said earlier, a serving member of the US army will not be allowed to do jail time in a foreign ally country. He will be extradited to the States to face the music.
He signed a contract with the US army and legally speaking that contract has to be kept (JAG is aware of that).
Someone mentioned that he is a Bini man, as such, the embassy wouldn't care what happens to him. I must say this is a very naive statement. You cannot be a commissioned officer in the US military without being a US citizen. And i bet we are all aware of America's policy on her citizens doing time in foreign lands.
I guess whoever concocted this post is totally unaware of the value America places on her soldiers (even if you are a fuzzy) not to talk of a Major.
Gaming / Re: Whats Ur Best Game On Ps3 by rocka: 9:27am On Dec 05, 2011
Skyrim - the elders scroll V is currently my best.

My ultimate game on PS3 though is God of War 3. Nothing else comes close.

Disappointingly, battlefield 3 did not satisfy my first-person shooter cravings. MW3, on the other hand, was an improvement from black-ops.

Crime / Re: Nigerian Fraudster Caught With 128 Identities in the UK by rocka: 8:31am On Jul 06, 2011
Damn, i can't believe so much tribal hatred coming from Nigerians living in Nigeria( and some abroad) especially from Yorubas. Alright, i'm gonna put it straight: Nairaland has got both Nigerians that 'know Nigeria' and Nigerians 'yearning to know Nigeria'.

The culprit is Nigerian. Non-Nigerians don't give a hoot if he was Igbo,Yoruba or Hausa. Nigerians i grew up with don't know the difference, forums like this is a shocking eye-opener on how Nigerians regard themselves.

Was hoping to see solutions and opinions on curbing the fraud epidemic, oh well, Utopia is still far away.
Crime / Re: Nigerian Flies From JFK To LA With Fake ID by rocka: 7:14pm On Jul 01, 2011
I was hoping not to hear about Nigerians committing crimes in the US again this year, once again i've been proven wrong. First news today was about this fool that thought he wouldn't get caught. Gosh, i wonder when we can stand tall and proud to be Nigerians.

Funny,i haven't seen as much appalling comments about his tribal origins as i would if he was 'Igbo'. Guess 'cos he's Yoruba.Hmmmmm. Tribal sentiments will surely be our downfall.
