Thanks for the good work abujaniv

My children f2 has just been denied, ( was denied last June 2016 too), will those denials affected them in the future visa request?

My wife is on f2 visa and spent 7 months with me before returning to Nigeria, will those denials affected her acceptance at the point of entry, will there be a consequence on her admissibility to u.s?

I plan to reapply has the denial was based on funding new f2 holders, but I forgot to state to the interviewer I have a graduate assistant job which permits me to save on school fees up to 60% of my cost of schooling. Is this new information substantial?

Thanks for your anticipated response.

Dear Visa Officer,

Thanks for your usual attention and help.

I have mistakenly cancelled visa appointment for interview twice due to error made in name which is not changing. presently, am unable to schedule appointment with the fee number. is that anything i can do to avoid paying another fee ?

Hello Dear AbujaNIV,

Am F1 and my spouse has obtained F2 visa but still in Nigeria. These are my questions

1. Am presently in U.S studying and cannot attend interview with the children ( They are below 10 years), but my wife will, do they need a written consent from me? Should it be notarized?

2. Will it be necessary for them to be physically present, since they are under 10, if not what will be the procedure?

Hello rolaesh,

Please bring a copy of the F1 SEVIS fee receipt as we are able to look up the payment information at the time of the interview. The same documents are required for the F2, the fee receipt and the I-20. There are no repercussions for separate interviews, but it is best to do the F2 interview either at the same time or after the F1 so that the officer knows that the F1 has been granted.

Regards,
Student Visa Team

Thanks for your prompt response. I had an issue with F2, i-20 I sent through USPS Express mail,it has not been delivered, despite tracking it down to Nigeria, all effort to locate it has not yielded, and that has forced my spouse to reschedule her interview from 11th to 14th April but the issue still persist.

I have scan the i-20 to her before sending the hard copy, can she attend interview with scanned i-20?

Can i-20 duplicate be certified for the purpose of Visa interview and by whom?

if we reschedule the interview for second time, to sort the issue out, will i need to pay for another interview appointment fee?
Travel / Re: U.S. Student Visa (F1, M1, & J1) Forum - We're Listening by rolaesh: 4:46am On Apr 08, 2016
Dear visa officer,

These are my questions;

1. for F2 what will be the proof of sevis payment for interview purpose?, since only the f1 paid sevis and f2 sevis payment is exempted.

2. can i get a link for documents required for f2 interview?

3. is there any implication for spouse and children not attending same f2 interview at once, but seperately ( the children are all under 10 years and not available now due to school schedule)

I think no one is answering ur question becos at this stage it's expected that u shld be able to source some info on ur own then ask 4 confirmation, I mean you've been on this thread long enough to know some basic stuff n how questns are answered here.
The first thing u need to do is to generate ur immiaccount. you can do that by googling 'my health declaration ". The site is well self explanatory. Remember to print out the referral letter. n also note ur immiaccount password 4 future reference. best of luck

Thanks i think am ok now. had issues with my internet connection with MTN before. Now google is back. but thanks for ur response anyway

There is no special word/wordings to use while going for your visa interview, it all depends on your confidence and zeal when answering questions, forget what everyone will tell you here, cause they will end up looking for something wrong in what you posted up there. Americans are looking for individuals that will impact their society positively, be yourself when you get there next time, don't make it a big deal. Am sure someone out of millions that go for interview has used the same wordings you used while been interviewed and gotten his/her visa. If u truly are a genuine student they will see that zeal and fire in your eyes and grant you the visa, last last everything na luck. Stop looking for anything special to say. Goodluck

pls do some research more n the school . say specific things and unique things like "so so research which is being conducted by the school will help me in nigeria" and if the fee is cheaper say it. or special achievement of tge dept. i wish u the best. i agree that Its luck sometimes but we still hv to do our best

pls gurus. i want to ask few questions botgering my mind

1. at what point do u apply for funding or grants, financial aids e.t.c. my course started january 12

2. what the chance of getting graduate assistance job. how to get it.

3. what my chance of getting students job at commerce or close cities.

pls dont be mad at me in asking this basic questions, it cos have been involved in academic spending all through the year and fund are getting so low.

i also hv australia chance for same course. now comparing and contrasting as per my future and my family too.

pls help a poor brother.

To God be the glory and thanks to all the gurus in the house, am a silent beneficiary in this forum and will like to give my transcript ofmy interview on 19th of November,2015.

vo: good morning
me: good morning

vo: pass the documents
me: i passed it with a smile

vo: so why are u goin to u.s
me: for study, to study m.s finance at texas a&m commerce

vo: why the university
me: well am presently a student of uni of ---- in dubai, but there is a chande of curriculum which affected my course. i plan to be an investment banker but the school has change to islamic banking which may noy work for my present employer in nigeria, hence i decided to source for another university. and what readily comes to my mind is u.s universities

v.o : (cut in) how many universities did u applied to
me: i actually did some research on many universities including texas a&m systems, university of houston system, university of north texas system, texas state university system......... in all about 56 universities. But i decided to settle for tamuc cos the price is cheaper and am honored to be convinced by the dean of management in the school, who personally called me and express the desire of the school to have me as there student.

v.o : who will sponsor you.
me : myself. self sponsor

vo: unfortunately ( i became stiff ) oh rather fortunately ur visa is approved you can pick it up at this address. she picked yhe white paper.

i cant believe it. am on cloud 9. the v.o was so use to the world unfortunately that she even mistake saying it when it positive.

she has rejected 5 visa b4 me.

The secret is prayer and fasting. fasted and pray like never b4.

do basic research. why are u travelling to u.s ?

why the university?

be able to defend your funding

sound confident

always refer to coming back with a tie. be it family, employment or any strong point.
.
read previous transcript it help gain confidence.

thanks my e-family

Hello peeps, it has been a while I visited the house. Big congratulations to those coming to join us soon and I pray for those awaiting their visas. Sydney is a beautiful place but can be lonely, in my eight weeks here I have learnt a lot but I have also achieved somethings all thanks be to God. I have my own 2 bedroom apartment though looking for a flatmate to share bills(pls note that houses are not easy to get if your account statement in Australia does not have inflows and if you are a student) and I also have a good stable job in a big company( 3rd job actually). Lesson learnt: be your self, speak normally don't fake accents if you want people to understand you, avoid excess luggage from nigeria cos it is not worth it majority of the stuffs are sold here, bring a lot of hair attachments and learn basic hair plaitings cos hair do is freaking expensive , some men want to marry from the first day of meeting if they know you are new in town, avoid cabs so quickly learn the transport system, finally ask questions from everybody. I am still learning, ciao

UOW sent me a supplementary financial details form to fill before eCOE.

Reading through the instructions, it was written, if you are applying directly to the university, you will be referred to a representative of the university who will undertake the check on its behalf.

And there is a space for agent attestation to the claim on the last page.

Does that mean the use of agent is mandatory. i have been avoiding agent cos i hv contacted pfl before withdrawing after advice and encouragement from gurus that i can do it myself. is this normal stuff, that i can still continue to evade agent or i should run back to them ;DHello house,
