Family / Re: Simple Proof That Religious Belief Is Not A Choice. by Rorschach1(m): 2:06pm On Nov 25, 2021
Your argument is flawed. You are a living example that a Christian Would do the very thing you say a Christian would never do.

We choose what to believe in. If we didn't have this choice, free will would not exist.

If Daredevil is really going to show up in Spider-Man 3, I wonder if Cox will play the same Netflix version or a new Marvel version.

Someone rank Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Agents of Shield, Flash, Green Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Doom Patrol & Titans.

I would think I'd love to watch Titans but that initial trailer never sit right with me. Nor did I ever hear this was a must watch.
Daredevil will always be god tier, so that show is the gold standard. Everything else can fall in line.

I’m not well versed in the Teen Titans mythos and I too was one of those people put off by the Titans trailer, but when you sit down and watch it it’s pretty good. They space things out randomly at times but it held my attention, binged it in a weekend.

Doom Patrol is on the to-do list next. Will soon see what the hype is about.

Not yet. A lot of creative uses of their powers though.

At the risk of sounding like a cliched film critic, but WandaVision really is unlike anything else in the CBM genre.

The first two episodes are weird as hell but if you are a fellow lover of classic sitcoms and the Twilight Zone all wrapped up in a Marvel gift box then this show is for you.

I say all that to say I'm enjoying it so far.
Olsen & Bettany's chemistry is off the charts too.

Oh really? How about don't tell me what to say. undecided

I'm just stating my opinion as Switch games are pretty popular at the moment and the last Marvel Ultimate Alliance was released exclusively to it.

And people were criticizing that the graphics don't look good enough. One person even said it looked like a game from '12. So thats fine but I can't compare this to the graphically inferior exclusive games of a current gen console? Bros abeg.

Anyway this game has better graphics than Switch's exclusive games. You don't have to agree to it as I didn't you ask either.

I get why some may not like these character designs but I for one am good with them. They've grown on me so much and have accepted them. The graphics themselves may not be top level like Batman: Arkham Knight or Spider-Man PS4 but still good. Seems improved in the war table stream gameplay than it did when originally revealed.

I'd still rather see Spider-Man as more of an ally who joins in some adventures from time to time, but never a member of the team.

Earth's Mightiest Heroes did it more to my liking, prior to New Avengers stuff.

Justice League packs a heavier punch than the Avengers. Too many hard hitters. How this has become an argument is completely beyond me

Surely this matter cannot be settled until someone does an exhaustive comparison of both Cox's and Cavill's appearance. Like all appearances. Both on the big screen and on the small screen. Anybody want to give it a try?

Cox is probably the rangier actor. Cavill is probably the more charismatic/marketable, which is why he's had more shots at iconic roles and more financial success.

Case closed.

Actually, your talent speaks for you..if you are talented enough and show it you would always be called on for these kind of projects..

If Cox is as talented as y'all claim he would have been a bigger deal than he is now..it's simple

All of you here backing Cox as a better actor are just talking about his role in Daredevil..that's his highest point/level, that's where his range stops..Cavill on the other hand has alot of range Comedy, Action, thrillers and almost all prominent roles...we have seen him helpless, we have seen him as a spy, we have seen him handle swords etc and he looks to just be getting started

Again this comparison isn't the same as comparing Daniel Day to the Rock in any way, they are totally different comparisons
I don't think it's always that simple.

Samuel L Jackson, for example, is a great actor but he didn't become a star until he was in his mid-forties.
Granted, I'm sure that has a lot to do with there being less opportunities for black actors, but I think it still shows that lot of factors beside just talent affect one's success in show business.

Perhaps you should place more trust in Matthew Vaughn, cause his movies tend to have good casting choices more often than not. And...

HbJ2:

If I remember correctly, Cavill and Cox were both up for the role of Tristan in Stardust and Cox beat him out which is how Cavill ended up with the bully role in the first place.

Robert Pattinson turning out to be a great actor is one of the all-time stunners for me, because I didn't think much of him at all in his younger days.
I would have had him pegged as being Hayden Christensen 2.0.

He sure proved me wrong.
You’re not alone. I saw both Twilight movies in theaters and remember just being bewildered as to how bad the acting was across the board. But his second act has been really impressive.

// Watched Homecoming for the first time in a while. Cutting to the Marvel logo after Keaton says “business is good” is still an all-time flex.

It’s a shame FFH was a relative letdown.

I don't think Cavill being in more successful things proves that people like him more, since there are more factors at work than just the actor.

At the same time, though, I don't think anyone is required to think Cox is better than Cavill, or any actor is better than any other actor.

Besides Daredevil, I did see Cox in Boardwalk Empire and thought he was decent there but nothing to get worked up about.

So based on that alone I do like Cavill more.

Coronovirus will be a thing of the past by Summer. Oddly enough...this might be a huge boost to Black Widow, as it's becoming one of the few "big" movies to see. The worry is the delay on OTHER films and Disney Plus shows because of all this.

F0REVERB0SS:

Apple TV+ looks like garbage though. For all their resources, they have 7 shows and that is it. Its not like its HBO level content either.

I think some these tech companies would need to buy a smaller player, like Lionsgate or CBS/Viacom to be relevant in the streaming era.
Just 7 shows? How do they expect to get anywhere with that?
