Nairaland / General / Re: 19 Year Old Nigerian Girl in UK Looking for Her Parents in Nigeria by sade(f): 9:37pm On Apr 15, 2007
Sorry everyone that I went so quite since all these days most especially on the issue of the girl i wrote about.
It's been a long walk but I must tell you things are ok now.I need to give a hint about the stage she is right now:
*someone who travelled to Nigeria (not purposely for her sake) helped to locate the parents through the address she gave and fortunately he met the dad and she's been communicating with him since then.
*she's still in the UK doing alright though she now have a relationship and the guy insisted she aiint going nowhere.
*I decided to let them be for now since that's their decison at least I helped her to archive one thing which is the contact she made with her parents.
Lastly I must express my profound gratitude to all Nairalanders for their support. Thanks alot.God bless!
Travel / Re: ADC Plane Crash In Abuja by sade(f): 11:15pm On Oct 29, 2006
We've had the plane crash in Nigeria which is sad enough but what made me to be more angry is the picture posted by AP which actually show the dead bodies of the passengers in which one of them is half naked.
I wonder, is it that there's no respect for Nigerians anymore or there's no more respect for the victims and their families?Things like this cannot happen in the western part of the world because its not everything that you'll do and get away with it.Or am I taking this issue too personal?
Fashion / Re: Girls Are Dirty! True Or False? by sade(f): 8:21pm On Jun 26, 2006
There's no much to reply to this cos I can see you are speaking "ironically".Guys are more dirty in every area of their life.Sorry to say this.95% of men has this carefree attitude which lead to being dirty. Most guys cant just raise their armpit in public.I dont want to go too far with the guys in the house but believe it or not guys are dirtier.

Nairaland / General / My Birthday, A Unique Day(14th Jan)! by sade(f): 11:33am On Jan 14, 2006
Every year I look forward for this great day, even though it comes once in a year yet it's still special to me.
A day to look back to what I've achieved and what is yet to be done.A day to decide on what not to do again and what to start doing.A day of happiness and a day to thank God for His blessings and mercy.
Jan 14th a day that come once in every year.Wishing myself a happy birthday and a year full of happiness and blessings.

Politics / Re: Bayelsa State Governor Escapes from London, UK (Now in Nigeria!) by sade(f): 10:42pm On Nov 21, 2005
I'm thinking and I don't even know what to say because I'm really disappointed and ashamed of my own country.Nigeria has become something else.I don't even know where the  country is going. These days I find it hard to introduce myself as a Nigerian because people give you a second look when you say you're a Nigerian.
The funniest thing is him being welcome with an open hands..its ridiculous. If Nigeria will be better then not in our generation..maybe 100 years to come because I'm scared. Its a big blow on we Nigerians and there's nothing we can do about that.
No one has answered this question:what was he doing with such huge amount of money when poverty is all over his state?
Those who helped in the protest the first day he was arrested here were given £200  each before the protest and some amount after.Well I don't know what else to say.Anyone that commits atrocity in the UK will definatly resign but its only in Nigeria that an ex-convict will be the governor infact will even win a post right in the prison and its only in Nigeria that people like Alamieyeseigha will come back to Nigeria and continue his regime.
 It's ridiculous!
Career / Re: Nigerians Studying Abroad: Would You Go Back Home To Work? by sade(f): 9:59pm On Nov 06, 2005
I believe wherever I am and I have peace is my home. I don't see myself going back to Nigeria to settle down.Ofcourse I can always go there for Christmas or the rest but not to settle down.I have my families here and even if I want to go back now whom do I meet..my cousins or friends.I may have a small business there but I must confess I don't see myself "settling down" there. No, no, no!

Those who want to go back and contribute well goodluck but how many people has actually contributed and if at all you contribute how will it show that you've contributed.

Of course home is home but a home that you are and you have all your money but no rest of mind..this minute you are scared of arm robber coming to your house the next minute you are scared of another thing. But wherever I am and I have a rest of mind is my home.

No extravagant life here..who cares if you are rich or not but back home if you are not extra-ordinary rich then you can't enjoy the so called home. We have only one life time so I have to make myself comfortable either its home or not.
Education / Re: OAU-Ife Students Thread: Great IFE! by sade(f): 9:34pm On Nov 06, 2005
Greatest Ife!!!!!
I don't think I can actually forget the life in Ife as a jambite in Mozambique hall (Moz). when  guys  always come to register for their 10 units course...MOZ 101.Or do you want me to talk about the Awo guys and about their Aro.Anyone that passes through the Great Ife will definately understand those words in Italic.
Faj guys are kool. They are not as rough as Awoite
...sorry to say but everyone one knows how Awo guys do behave.
Moz girls are rough as well.I remember my second year in Akintola hall it was boring unlike Moz that everyday is Xmas except they have quarell with their husbands Awoite.
Should I talk about life in "white house"?I don't think I can really end my story when it comes to the "Greatest of the greatest Ife".It is a wonderful school and a school to be.But the Emi Aluta is the only problem I had then with the school especially in the era of Roger Makanjuola.
Should I talk about Iyan Pharmacy?Or New Buka?
I leave the rest for the other member in the house to contribute.

Great Ife.GREAT!

Travel / Re: 'Lagos Airport' Documentary on Sky Travel Channel by sade(f): 6:53pm On Oct 31, 2005
There's nothing shown on TV here about Nigeria that's actually good. The programme you are talking about is of six episodes and none of the episodes speak well of Nigeria.
I don't know what to say exactly because even those at the airport were catching their fun while they have been ridiculed with camera.Maybe they've never seen camera in all their lives.Nigeria is corrupt..agreed,but I don't think things are that bad the way they are painted in BBC3,BBC4 and SKY Travel.

Romance / Re: What Single Men Hate Most in Ladies? by sade(f): 6:40pm On Oct 31, 2005
Seun: 1) Lies
2) Losing virginity in a very cheap way.
3) Behaving in a way that attracts players and repels responsible men.
4) Insincerity.
5) Being a girl and not a woman - not having direction in life.

Seun, I know you guys will have so many things to say at least we've said ours too.

But how do you know if a girl is a virgin since there shouldn't be premarital sex? (I'm refering to your second point). I think what you hate in ladies mostly is the physical attributes. So how would you know if she lose her virginity in a cheap way unless you are told and does that mean you should hate her?

In the other post (what do ladies hate in men), I didn't see anyone saying, "I hate guys loosing virginity in a cheap way". Most times what you hate in your partner is the physical attributes before sex can even come into play. Or am I getting things wrong here?
Phones / Re: How To Transfer Pictures From LG Phone to PC by sade(f): 4:26pm On Oct 29, 2005
Most phones always come with a CD.All you need to do is to first install the software by using the CD that came with it,then the PC can recognise it when u connect the phone to the PC then u follow the instruction on the screen. Its easy.

Nairaland / General / Re: 19 Year Old Nigerian Girl in UK Looking for Her Parents in Nigeria by sade(f): 9:39pm On Oct 23, 2005
I called the woman sometime ago but she never picked her call and the last time I spoke with the girl on phone she told me the woman said its either she comes back living with her or she takes her back to Nigeria.Ofcourse the poor girl prefare going to Nigeria to staying with the woman here.
But as you've all said I'll make sure she speaks with her parents before she can follow the woman. It's a good point.I had wanted to help her to report to the police but she said no so there's nothing I can do cos I've actually tried my best.I would have loved to call the woman again but she had told the girl never to give anyone her number again cos I've called her twice.
Nairaland / General / Re: 19 Year Old Nigerian Girl in UK Looking for Her Parents in Nigeria by sade(f): 10:06am On Oct 18, 2005
Thanks. The last time I saw her she said she's staying with a friend now.But the aunty promised to take her back to Nigeria next month cos the girl told her she will report to the police.I think the girl prefer going back to Nigeria though she doesnt know where the parents stay but the woman can sort that out for her.Thats the latest so far.

Family / Re: Should A Woman Be Pregnant for Her Fiance Before Marriage? by sade(f): 3:34pm On Sep 28, 2005
NO!
Marriage is not meant for child bearing alone.God forbid..if there's no child then we'll adopt because on that day you promised "for better for worse".I think some parents do advise their son to make sure the fiancee gets  pregnant before getting married but the idea is not that good though its good for some but I wont do that anyway.
