Politics / Re: Nationwide Protest: Nigerian Governors Currently Meet In Abuja by saintmm(m): 10:27am On Jul 25
ConfusePoint:
But why are they running helter skelter, holding meetings everywhere? It's just a protest. Why are they afraid? Besides, this protest is targeted at Tinubu, not the governors.
This protest should be targeted at all levels of leadership in this country including governors, national and state parliament even judiciary that has turned our country to laughing stock with their emotive judgements.
If it is targeted to Tinubu alone, we will achieve so little.
Come to Edo state and see full scale non performance of a governor for seven and half years.

I pray that this scales through for political reason.
Southeast getting sixth state is a win for the entire south.
Since Anioma doesn't want to be in South East, they should rest. But, East must get their sixth state, size doesn't matter.

thr requirement is to gather signatures from at least half+1 of the voters in your specific electoral area. And yes, it is what people in parliamentary and Democratic communities do, their civic duty. You don't simply say, "oh, he rigged himself into office so it is over," No! You can cast a vote of "no confidence" to have them recalled in that case, something Nigerians ought to be doing a lot of but haven't been doing any of. undecided
This is what I've been discussing with people in my immediate environment.
We need to spread this idea and strongly advocate it. Until the masses come to know that this actually is their power over these politicians, they will be taking the masses for a ride.
Please keep discussing it

I can't blame ipob neither do I blame waec but the docile southeast governors. Giving the people what they are asking for is part of governance and not cowardice.
Southeast governors ought to have come together to declare that day a public holiday in their region anade it officially known to all relevant authorities.
If they had done that, all these kind of things won't occur
Politics / Re: Cooking Gas Dealers Have Crashed The Price Of The Product by saintmm(m): 11:35am On May 08
Gas price indeed is coming down but I don't think it worth celebrating yet.

Is there any increase in minimum wage yet?
Aren't we been taxed more heavily yet?
Don't know what people are celebrating in this wicked government!

Reminderz:

this has also been evident in their attitudes displayed with market prices... "Dollar oo dollar ooo", dollar rise, product prices became expensive, dollar fall, still the same.. at the time of no cash, pos people used the opportunity to contribute to the hardship already faced... same with fuel attendants now, I ask, is the government truly the problem or we are our own problem...? are the leaders truly corrupt or the corruption is an innate ability? as we are, so will our leaders be... most of the people complaining about bad governance or corruption will do much worse when in that position...

we are our own problem... until we change ourselves, this country will never do good... when we go other country, we go dey treat theirs with respect, afraid to go against the rules, but for here, we dey do anyhow, like animals in the wild... smh
Thank God I'm not the only one on this mindset.
As Nigerians, until we change our mindset, we may not really see any difference in our polity.
Every leader is a representation of his society.

RIP to the dead.

This is one of the reasons I keep saying our society is s bad one. Everyone keeps blaming the government (although they share some blame anyway) but no one is ready to take responsibility by doing the right thing.
We have made coward out of those that chose to do the right thing and everyone doing any how is the order of the day.
Imagine, our laws only apprehends the poor and less connected in the society,
The people in charge of certifications and sanctions are looking for money they didn't work for and call it smartness.
Our law enforcement officers had turn them selves to tax collectors on our roads, anyone trying to raise a voice is tagged anti-government by co-citizens suffering the same thing.
Until we wake up to reorientated ourselves on how we want our society to work, we keep typing RIP to s avoidable deaths and losses. Unfortunately, we don't know who may be next victim!

WhatsApp text and vn are all means of communication.
When initiating a chat with someone, you can notify the person how you want response if you are more comfortable with one over the other.
People have different reasons for their choices.
Personally, I have preference based on my audience, topic and prevailing circumstance on my side and on my receiver's side.
So, I let's just make the most of which ever we are comfortable with.

I'm a Liverpool's fan, but, before this game I've already settled them for third position on the table at the end of the season.
Klopp and his boys are just marking out time, no more passion, no more directions, everyone is just doing what he likes on the pitch and think of their options at the end of the season off the pitch. So, I'm not disappointed with this result.

It is not really his fault, Wike leant from Oshiomhole brohaha and packaged himself well.
Obaseki was only lucky to be more learned than Oshiomhole, the reason he was successful. Even, if Obaseki is in Fubara case, he won't be able to do as much as he did. Don't forget, Wike post is not tied to his party membership like it was in Oshiomhole case
Crime / Re: Emmanuel Okocha: Police Corporal Arrested For Killing Aba Biz Man At Checkpoint by saintmm(m): 9:19am On Apr 22
RIP to the deceased.
Condolences to family, friends and we'll wishes.

The reason I keep saying our society is a bad one. A society that worships money, idolize power, engage in tribal bigotry, religion extremism, love oppression by enduring it when receiving it and unleash it when you have the capacity to do so, no regards for life, no dignity of labour, strong entitlement mindset, filled with obvious hypocrisy and strong personal interest over strong ideology etc.
How does such a society produce good set of leaders?.

Until we have a rethink of what should drive our society and everyone become accountable for their actions and inactions, the nation will be moving in circles!

Show us your SE Governors that were not indigenous to the States they Governed
Same with late Lam Adesina governor of Oyo state 1999-2003. From kogi state.

I wonder why JK is bowing out this way? Upon all the kudos and accolades he's won in LFC leaving in this distatesful is appalling.
Maybe he was pressurized to announce his exit when he did so as to influence Xabi Alonso decision favourably, and he's paying us back with overseeing a negative football and below par performances, I don't know.
Anyway, with the current happenings, he had won his only cup this season.
He has nothing to offer again.

Such a list should be archived and updated as at when due.
This list made me suddenly remembered that no Southwest governor handed over last year, so, they look like a saint now, but when they will be added I know the positions will be updated.
Calmly waiting to see Lagos State, Ogun state and Oyo state own.
For those shouting about missing Southwest states, it only clarified to me the crop of people I'm sharing this space with.

Tomorrow is here already.

Who is emotionally btw me and you now? even a blind man knows that, withdrawing the court case is already broken Wike backbone. (Wike camps hide under that, to perpetrate Ag chairman on power and by extension allowing Wike to do illegalities)

I guess, it's forgotten Ortom and likes, are the one to save Wike. I biliv you mistaken Wike the gov for Wike the minister.

Both Wike and Atiku hands would be cut off from PDP jugular by PDP govs. That's the plan.

Oga let me tell you, what to happen in nearest future, Ag chairman would not only removed, Wike may face suspension or total banishment from PDP.

You are free to react on ur emotions sha.
Anything to enable PDP to give us a robust opposition to APC is welcome

Politics / Re: Why PDP Has Not Sanctioned Wike – Ologbondiyan by saintmm(m): 9:02am On Apr 17
When Wike hijacked the soul of PDP prior to 2019 election and those of us that understand the Dynamics were laughing those that are favoured then called us fools.
He chased off all those that can call him to order then using Rivers State money and started calling the shot.
The last man standing then was Peter Obi who he chased off prior to 2023 election because of his own ambition.
He knew then that with the rest he will use if it's not my way, then, no way system for them. Now we are here with almost a one party Nation if not for LP which is still learning to be in the game.
I still rate LP over PDP anyway.

All these rainbow people, it's because we love you that's why we are talking.
That it originates from your 'sane' clime doesn't mean it's sane.
Look back, they called our use of roots and herbs then primitive and forced their drugs down our throats, what do we have today?
They taught us the use of inorganic fertilizer in agriculture, what do we have today?
They will still somersault on this, it's just a matter of time
