Politics / Signs Of Anarchy Everywhere In Nigeria, PDP Bot Warns by SalesConsultant(m): 8:56am On Oct 11, 2024
…Asks Tinubu To Review Policies To Check Widespread Hardship

…Nigeria Sinking Deeper Under President Tinubu, CUPP Laments

…My Husband Not Cause Of Hardship, Says Oluremi Tinubu

ABUJA – The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned that the country is not far from anarchy, saying the signs are everywhere.

It called on President Bola Tinubu to immediately review his policies so as to check the widespread hardship in the country.

The BoT Chairman, Adulphus Wabara, who gave this warning on Thursday, also warned that the signs of crisis as it were in the Democratic Republic of Congo are here for everyone to see.

Speaking at the 78th BoT meeting, Wabara said, “As we continue on this journey, let us remember that the future of our party and indeed our country depends on the unity, integrity and hard work of each of us.

“The PDP remains the beacon of hope for millions of Nigerians, and it is our duty to ensure that we remain true to the principles upon which this great party was founded. If the PDP Board of Trustees is kicked out of politics of Nigeria, then Nigeria is gone. And of course, what we will have is nothing but anarchy. Like I said earlier, we are almost getting there.

“We should not forget how it started in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The signs are here for everybody to see. I, therefore, urge all members of this board and indeed all party leaders to redouble their efforts in the months ahead, together, we can overcome any challenges that lie ahead and continue to steer our great party towards victory and prosperity.”

Wabara also spoke on the reports the board received on the congresses the party conducted, which were not done in full accord with the guidelines of PDP in some states.

He, however, called on the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to ensure that all the discrepancies noted were corrected, adding that the party should convey a meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) as scheduled for October 24, this year, to address pressing matters and strategise on the way forward for the PDP.

He said: “The Board of Trustees has also received reports that in some states, these congresses were not conducted in full accordance with the guidelines of our great party. In some instances, the congresses did not even hold as scheduled.

“These discrepancies are of serious concern and it is essential that we address them immediately. Therefore, we are calling on the National Working Committee to ensure that these issues are swiftly resolved. It is crucial that any deviations from PDP guidelines are corrected, and where congresses did not hold new dates should be scheduled to ensure all party members have a fair and transparent opportunity to participate in the democratic process.

“While we celebrate our achievements, we must also acknowledge that the strength of our party lies in our ability to resolve internal conflicts. As we know, a house divided cannot stand, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that any issues or disputes within the party are addressed with diplomacy, sacrifice, patience and an unwavering commitment to unity.”

Commending the reconciliation committee, Wabara said, “I would like to take this opportunity to commend the reconciliation committee for their efforts so far in resolving disputes within the party, their work has been vital in mending broken ties and strengthening our internal structures.

“However, we must recognise that the task ahead is significant. I want to remind the committee that they have a huge task, task ahead, and as the BoT, we will stand ready to lend a hand whenever needed. It is part of our responsibility to foster peace and unity among the members of our party, and we are always available to support these efforts. Constitutionality and the rule of law should be the guiding principles of the committee. The committee cannot go wrong with these principles.

“After all, Honourable Wike has even alluded to this principle recently on national television. He said that the way forward is to follow the constitution and the rule of law. So we really thank him for that, and hope that the committee will ride on this and achieve unity in this party. I, therefore, implore any member invited by the committee, including the disciplinary committee, to submit himself or herself, because the party is supreme. We are one family, except we want to completely encourage and support the ruling party to turn Nigeria into a one-party state, and I think we are almost there.”

The Acting National Chairman of PDP, Amb. Umar Damagum, who also spoke on the occasion, appreciated the BoT for their efforts and love for the party.

“Let me use this opportunity to welcome you all as we come to discuss the growth and the matters in our party today. I know it has not been easy, things are difficult, but all the same, you found it appropriate, because of your love for this party,” he said.

Also in a communique after its meeting at the party headquarters in Abuja, the BoT expressed concerns over the economic hardship and “general sense of misery, despondency” in the country.

The BoT also alerted Nigerians that the alleged electoral manipulation of the Edo State governorship election is part of the sinister plot by the All Progressives Congress to foist a one-party system and totalitarian rule on the country.

Part of the communique reads, “Concern over the worsening economic hardship, acute food crisis and general sense of misery, despondency, uncertainty and hopelessness in the country occasioned by the anti-people policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.

“The BoT demands that the APC administration immediately review its policies and take immediate steps to ensure the reduction in the price of fuel, make key investments towards food production, revamp our manufacturing sector to stimulate employment opportunities and mitigate the suffering of Nigerians.

“The BoT in very strong terms condemns and rejects the brazen rigging of the September 21, 2024 governorship election in Edo State by the APC in connivance with INEC and some compromised police operatives.”

The board insisted that from the votes cast at the polling units, “it is clear that the PDP and its candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, won the election. The PDP will take every legitimate step to ensure the recovery of the mandate freely given to our party by the people of Edo State.

“The BoT alerts Nigerians that the electoral manipulation of the Edo State governorship election is part of the sinister plot by the APC to foist a one-party system and totalitarian rule on our country which must be firmly resisted.”

Nigeria Sinking Deeper Under Tinubu, CUPP Laments

Meanwhile, the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has described Nigeria as a sinking ship, regretting that it is happening under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

CUPP made the assertion in Abuja on Thursday in reaction to recent developments in the nation’s energy sector, where the pump price of fuel has been hiked above N1000.

The National Spokesperson of CUPP, Comrade Mark Adebayo, while addressing the newsmen, criticised the persistent fuel price hike and developments trailing the local government elections in Rivers State, saying the masses are beginning to bear the brunt of these actions.

He said CUPP as a patriotic and responsible opposition coalition, has a mandate to interrogate the socioeconomic and political status of our dear country and speak truth to power in defence of justice, democracy and in the overall interests of the country.

“To start with, less than 24 hours ago, in spite of the harrowing economic conditions of the country orchestrated by the atrocious economic policies of the Tinubu administration, the pump price of fuel was again increased to over N1000 per litre.

“In less than one and half years of the Tinubu administration, fuel prices have been increased by over 2000% which has exponentially increased poverty, hunger and general suffering of Nigerians as persistently unleashed on us by a totally insensitive and wicked administration. This is not the Nigeria we envisaged at the return of democracy in 1999,” he stated.

While carpeting the policies of the government, Comrade Adebayo said the Federal Government merely pays lip service to local government autonomy whilst in practice it is working actively to undermine the autonomy and stability of local governments across the country.

He said Nigerians are all living witnesses to the carnage and reckless violence unleashed on Rivers State people last Saturday during the recently held local government election in that state.

According to him, “That act of brigandage is not only reprehensible but out rightly criminal and terroristic in nature. What happened there was tantamount to state-sponsored terrorism.

“What they failed to achieve by bullets and bombs in Rivers State, they are trying to achieve by other means in Lagos State and to extend it, systematically, to other states.

“The whole idea is to cripple local government administration and turn it into the errand organ of the Federal Government. There is a deliberate, systematic onslaught against local government autonomy by this pretentious Tinubu administration.

“For instance, what is currently playing out in Lagos State, which is the home state of the president, on local government administration is extremely worrisome.

“There is a serious attempt to subjugate the local governments under the authority of the state Assembly in Lagos State to the extent that, judging by the current shenanigans of constitutional amendments to local government administration in Lagos State currently being undertaken by the Lagos State House of Assembly, the control of markets is to be taken away from local governments and put under the purview of Lagos State House of Assembly.

“How ridiculous! How could a legislative arm want to take over the executive responsibilities of a local government that has elected executive councils complete with its own legislative arm.

“We make bold to re-emphasise that Mr. Bola Tinubu prepared very well to be president, but never prepared to govern. That is the major factor in the current calamitous state of the nation.

“While we call on Nigerians to remain resilient, we appeal to them to cooperate and collaborate with the opposition political parties to free them from the undeserved suffering that the Tinubu administration has unleashed on them in the last 14 months of relentless state socioeconomic terrorism”.

The National Secretary of CUPP, Chief Peter Ameh, corroborated Adebayo, saying Tinubu was too hasty with the removal of fuel subsidy immediately he became president.

My Husband Not Cause Of Hardship, Says Oluremi Tinubu

In another development, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has said her husband, President Bola Tinubu, should not be blamed for the current economic hardship in Nigeria.

Nigerians have been groaning under economic hardship since the removal of fuel subsidy which pushed the pump price of petrol from N198 to N1,030.

Tinubu announced an end to subsidy during his inaugural address on May 29, 2023, saying the policy was standing in the way of Nigeria’s progress.

But while speaking at the Palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on Thursday, the First Lady said the Tinubu administration is still very young.

The wife of the President was in Ife to inaugurate hostel and a 2.7 kilometre road donated to Ọbafẹmi AwolọwọUniversity, (OAU), Ile Ife, by the Ooni of Ife and named after her.

She said, “We are just 18 months into our administration; we are not the cause of the current situation; we are trying to fix it and secure the future.

“We know that subsidy has been removed, but with God on our side, in the next two years, Nigeria will be greater than this. Those who attempted removing subsidy before could not see it through. But with your prayers in the next two years, we will build a nation for the future.”

The president’s wife added that her husband is not greedy, thanking God for making him emerge Nigeria’s number one citizen.

“We give glory to God for our status, myself and my husband, we are not greedy but we thank God for what God has done for us. It is not common for rich people to get to this seat but I am grateful to God, we can not disappoint Nigeria and with the help of God, we are getting to the promised land in no distant time,” she said.

The First Lady who disclosed that she graduated from OAU 41 years ago donated N1 billion to the university for its development and advancement.

While speaking, the Ooni of Ife lauded the wife of the President for serving as role model to young ones since her days as First Lady of Lagos State.

The traditional ruler said, “I have been a keen admirer of Senator Oluremi Tinubu as a young man eking out a living in Lagos. One of my major attractions was the New Era Initiative especially as it concerns the One Day Governor in Lagos that is totally detribalised and provided opportunities to young secondary school boys and girls to become governor in Lagos State. This has been a milestone and major inspiration for the younger ones to aspire and proper.

Because if they do, Tinubu won't be allowed to seat one more day in that office.

Landing cost of petrol is now N1,200 in the last report, yet he claims subsidy is gone.

Business / Help! Is My New Product Valuable Enough In Today's Market? by SalesConsultant(m): 1:21pm On Aug 08, 2024
I recently created a minimum viable product (MVP) for an idea I have nurtured for the past three years. It's called JAWT Detergent, an acronym for JUST ADD WATER TECHNOLOGY. It is a Household cleaning product in pouches that transforms into multipurpose washing liquid when mixed with water.

It finally made liquid detergent also known as liquid soap;

1. AFFORDABLE (75% cheaper),
2. SUSTAINABLE (85% cheaper to distribute)
3. ECO-FRIENDLY (eliminate the use of plastic bottles).

You can learn more about this product by watching this 2mins video here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh6Pu9TjH2A

The concept is to establish a Royalty Business Model. Meaning, that I hand over my formulations and techniques to a reputable detergent manufacturing company to mass produce and distribute JAWT DETERGENT in countries of interest while my intended partners and I earn a royalty for the intellectual property.

Please, do you think this product is valuable enough in today's Market?
Business / How High Cost Of Liquid Soap Forced Me To Make Affordable Version For Everyone by SalesConsultant(m): 5:00pm On Aug 04, 2024
It all started in September 2019 after the opening of my carwash business in Port Harcourt. I noticed that almost all car owners do not allow the use of powdered detergents on their cars, but request the use of liquid soaps. The reasons are that powdered detergents are too harsh, causing cars to fade fast and damaging the paintwork over time. I then found out that almost all households in Nigeria also trust and prefer Liquid detergents (a.k.a liquid soap) as they are gentle, yet effective in washing dishes, clothes, cars, hands, surfaces, etc.; when compared to powder detergents, which a lot of people still complain about degradations of colors, finger splitting, irritations and the fast fading of clothes as a result of their harshness and high pH value.

However, the liquid detergents requested by my customers are more expensive; draining my revenue even to a point where it was no longer feasible to continue buying branded liquid detergents from the market. Then, I decided to learn how to make them myself to cut costs and save my struggling carwash business.

Firstly, I had to learn how to handle and mix chemicals safely, wearing protective gear like hand gloves to prevent direct contact with harsh chemicals and a nose mask to prevent inhaling dust and fumes that can be dangerous without proper safety precautions. Secondly, I noticed that most chemical dealers would not sell below 10 litres worth of chemical ingredients to you, which made the initial cost of making liquid detergent high. It is also difficult to locate a chemical shop in your town, and usually far from your home which is never convenient. And then, when I finally succeed in making my liquid detergents, carrying 20 litres worth from home to my carwash is always a drag. Liquid soaps are heavy, voluminous, bulky, and difficult to deliver.

Indeed, making liquid detergents yourself can help you save money, but it requires a high initial cost and the making process is stressful, dangerous, demanding, and unrealistic for busy people. That is why despite the well-known harmful effects of powder detergents, it still thrives in Nigeria as over 90% of households still rely on powder detergents for washing because they are more affordable than liquid detergents today. [Almost Extinct In The US, Powdered Laundry Detergents Thrive Else Where In The World - Michael McCoy,]

One day while making liquid detergents, or liquid soap as it is popularly called in Nigeria, I observed that I used about 90% water in the process. This made me realize that the major reason why liquid soaps are expensive today is mainly due to their weight, volume, and bulky plastic packaging. This means liquid detergents can be more affordable than powdered detergents if we can somehow package only the active ingredients safely and allow consumers (Nigerians) to add water themselves, rather than packaging and shipping the excessive water to consumers. It took me about 3 years of practice and research to figure out a safe and efficient way to dry out the water in liquid soaps (dewatering), which eventually led to the development of JAWT DETERGENT:

WATCH THE VIDEO:

JUST ADD WATER TECHNOLOGY DETERGENT OR JAWT DETERGENT for short is a new innovative household cleaning product in pouches that transforms into thick-foamy multipurpose washing liquid detergent when mixed with the recommended amount of water. It safely washes your clothes, cars, dishes, floors, etc. It does not require wearing hand gloves, nose masks, or the addition of any other chemical to function. It finally makes Liquid Soaps:

AFFORDABLE: JAWT DETERGENT (250-gram) pouch pack is equivalent to 2.25 litres of multipurpose washing liquid when mixed with water. It costs N1,000 naira only. That is less than N500 naira per Litre. JAWT DETERGENT therefore helps consumers save 75% of costs compared to other popular liquid detergent brands in the market, and proofs to be more economical than powder detergents today.

It is estimated that the retail price of JAWT DETERGENT may fall to as low as N750 naira per pouch (250-gram) or less when produced on a large scale, and even more affordable when packaged in smaller pouches like; 125 grams for 1.125 litres, 62.5 grams for 562.5ml, etc.

EASY TO USE: Unlike traditional Do It Yourself (D.I.Y) soap making which requires a combination of several harsh and harmful chemicals, which could accidentally damage your body and jeopardize your health. JAWT DETERGENT adopts the JUST ADD WATER TECHNOLOGY concept:

JAWT DETERGENT is safe to touch and does not require protective gear like hand gloves, face masks, or other ingredients. That's to say, the mixing process is easy, safe, and convenient.

SUSTAINABLE: JAWT DETERGENT saves up to 87% in product weight, 85% on transport cost, 90% less packaging, and gains 85% more storage space.

In clear terms, where 8 Trucks are required to transport liquid soaps, let's say from Lagos to Kano, we need 1 Truck to convey the same value of JAWT DETERGENT as a result of the reduced weight, volume, and space occupied.

PROFITABLE: Detergents are used in almost every home in Nigeria today with a population of over 200 million people. The current economic hardship and dwindling incomes mean consumers need safe affordable liquid detergent for daily cleaning.

The reduced volume of JAWT DETERGENT also helps to reduce package, storage, and logistics costs; thereby enabling manufacturers to maximize profits and generate good returns on investments (ROI) in these economic hard times.

ECO-FRIENDLY: JAWT DETERGENT uses biodegradable standup pouches for packaging, eliminates the use of plastic bottles, and encourages consumers to reuse their existing plastic containers.

The one-time use approach of plastic containers causes plastic waste and pollution in our land, rivers, and oceans.

Dear Nairalanders, my name is Ebhomien Oziegbe Endurance, Founder of JUST ADD WATER TECHNOLOGY (JAWT) and the first Nigerian brand accepted by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investments that proffers triple-win solutions to consumers, manufacturers, and the environment for liquid detergents. I want to use this opportunity to reach out to reputable manufacturers, distributors, and investors on this forum, interested in the mass production and distribution of JAWT DETERGENT in Nigeria and beyond; We are open to collaboration and partnership.

Also, we are offering a 25% commission of the proposed annual licensing fee to a business developer, manager, influencer, consultant, or firm that will handle public relations, and management, as well as make presentations to attract reputable manufacturers and investors with the capacity to mass produce and distribute JAWT DETERGENT in Nigeria or beyond; If this is you? Kindly contact us now to sign the 25% licensing commission deal while the offer lasts.

We aim to make liquid detergent (liquid soap) affordable for everyone in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner. I sincerely hope you see the profit potential of this new innovative product and collaborate with us towards making JAWT DETERGENT available to millions of Nigerians, who already trust liquid soaps for their entire washing needs and, finally help save us all from the fast-fading of our personal belongings in this economic hard time.

Kindly reply with your NAME and EMAIL address, on this thread; you will receive a free copy of the whitepaper in your email within 24 hrs. Kindly check your inbox or spam folder.

Most importantly your contribution and collaboration will be greatly appreciated and rewarded. Please feel free to ask questions and share your thoughts about this project; your suggestion will go a long way towards improving the final product.

THANK YOU!

Business / Open Invitation For Business Collaboration And Partnership by SalesConsultant(m): 8:05am On Aug 04, 2024
THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION!

Saudi Arabia Postpones Arab-African Summit over Potential Polisario Participation.

Rabat - Saudi Arabia has announced its decision to postpone the Arab-African Summit, citing concerns about the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza. However, reports have suggested that the decision to delay the summit had much deeper implications.

Moroccan outlet Le 360 quoted a “reliable source” as saying that the decision to delay the summit was also heavily influenced by the potential participation of the separatist Polisario Front, supported by South Africa and Algeria.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry’s press release stated that the country decided to postpone the event due to the “current development in Gaza, which necessitated the holding of an extraordinary Arab summit and an Islamic summit to discuss the ongoing crisis.”

The statement emphasized the need to ensure that regional political developments do not jeopardize the Arab-African partnership, which aims to focus on economic development.

“But what the Riyadh press release does not say is that there is another determining factor which led to this postponement: the possible presence of representatives of the puppet republic – the SADR – among the African delegations scheduled to participate at the summit,” Le 360 reported.

The Moroccan outlet explained that the issue crosses a “red line” for Saudi Arabia, a firm and outspoken defender of Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over the Sahara, stressing that the country “cannot tolerate” the presence of Polisario leaders at the event.

The report further explained that the postponement of the summit is a response by Saudi Arabia and, by extension the Arab League, to a commitment made after the fourth Arab-African Summit held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, in November 2016.

Eight Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, had boycotted the summit in protest against the participation of a “Western Sahara delegation.” Following that episode, it was agreed that the list of countries invited to the summit would be jointly determined in advance by the Arab League and the African Union.

However, this decision has not yet been ratified at the African Union’s ministerial level, leading Saudi Arabia to plan its own summit to circumvent any infiltration by the SADR through the AU.

The Arab-African summit, which is a collaborative effort between the Arab League and the African Union, was set to take place in Riyadh on November 11 with the aim of fostering stronger ties between the two regions.
