After about 2minute or more she came towards where i was washing my cloth. Judith:thanks i really appreciate. Salore:u are welcome. she adjusted her skirt and left for the back door of his cousin salon which lead to the backyard but after some few second she came out from the backdoor that lead to the backyard and started coughing towards my direction until she finally got to where i was. But before then,i couldn't help that i wish i can disappear into thin air. As she bent down beside me immediately i felt a great cold as if an iceberg was put right beside me.then she complained to me that something inform of fly entered her mouth which lead to her cough then i quickly gave her the water i bought to surpase myself when i feel thirsty for her to drink inorder to relief her of the cough which deliberately did, then all of a sudden her cousin joe who expected her to have been back from the backyard opened the back door and called on her which she responded but at that point in-time i was through with what am doing and later retired to bed.

Family / NEXT OF KIN- Who Deserves To Be?? by Salore4real(m): 12:01am On Jun 22, 2013
We live in a world with uncertainties and as such we are usually required to fill in data on who should be our next of kin, in case something happens...

Many of us have in such instances always find ourselves at crossroads.. Should my next of kin be my husband, wife, father, mother, siblings, friends?? Who really deserves to be, and in what circumstances??

Religion / Re: Dr Zakir Naik In Lagos by Salore4real(m): 5:10pm On Jun 15, 2013
It was indeed a day at the National Stadium, Lagos today when the renowned Islamic preacher, Dr Zakir Naik mounted the podium to speak on the topic bordering on salat as a programming language for human beings. He likened the human being as a computer machine; a complex one at that. Just like a computer requires programmes to run effectively, the human requires a reminder in form of salat to constantly ensure they are on track. Whenever a computer programme is corrupted by a virus, the programme usually needs to be reinstalled. In the case of humans, we are exposed to thousands of such 'viruses' daily hence necessitating constant re-programming in form of salat...

To allow salat achieve its objectives of reforming people, Dr Zakir advised muslims to learn the meanings of what they recite in their daily prayers. What is the point in a sick person reciting the doctor's prescriptions without actually taking the drugs?? It will amount to nothing. That is Dr Zakir's similitude of a muslim who mechanically recites in his prayers without pondering on the meaning of the verses recited. He talked also on how to maintain concentration in salat, the very many medical and spiritual benefits of regularly observing salat..

Earlier on, his son Fariq Naik did justice (or rather "over-justice", if there is anything like that) to the topic: "Concept of God in World's major religions". He performed excellently for an 18year old. He was just like his father, and even more. He has successfully memorized the entire Qur'an.

The high point of the programme was the question and answer series. Preference was given to questions from the Christain brothers and sisters. The questions were brilliantly answered by the seasoned Lecturer himself, Zakir Naik. He answered them all in a manner that appealed to logic and reason. There were two questioners that were persistent in their questionings however reasonable the proffered answers were. Prominent among them was one Udo Udogha. He challenged Zakir to an intellectual debate and cited one person that had earlier challenged Naik to a debate. Guess what Zakir's answer was; If they can provide 50,000 of their people and bring a "heavyweight" evangelist, he is ready for them, even if the Pope was brought for a debate.. It was apparent, at least from what I saw and heard about Udo, that what he sought was just attention towards himself. There was another questioner that asked about reference to specific rewards for women in the Hadith or Qur'an. He was answered by Naik using the hadith of Aisha (r.a) that Rasullulah (saw) said that the rewards for women in Jannah is such that no eyes have seen and no ears have heard. What a wonderful reward for Women!! Wonderful indeed to the extent that for once I wished i was a woman...

The saga continues tomorrow at the National Stadium Lagos...

ImpactWorld: Problem: Do or die attitude of our politicians.
Solution: Make political office less attractive. Politicians should earn very little; maybe only allowances. Political office should purely be for service to Nigeria and Nigerians.

I quite agree with you. The 'benefits' attached to political offices is too attractive and is attracting the wrong people. If it is made less lucrative, maybe only people willing to serve in the real sense would vy for political offices

Adrenaline123: create a new type of efcc and fill it with people with fear of God

what would happen to the previous ones (I mean EFCC and ICPC)? Will you recommend scrapping them? If you do, don't you think many will be made jobless??

I would rather demonstrate zero tolerance for non-performance of these institutions by sacking any non-performing 'oga' of these institutions. This will go a long way in sending signals to would-be new bosses that they must DELIVER..
I also think these institutions are non-performing because the leaders at the top wish it so..

To make the thread interesting and organized we can start proferring our solutions by first naming the problem, and then the solution..

For example,
LOOTING OF PUBLIC FUNDS- this can be stemmed by public execution of offenders.... Etc

Nairaland / General / Re: Nigeria As One Of The Riskiest Places To Be In The World by Salore4real(m): 6:18am On May 24, 2013
dasparrow: @Post
USA should be labelled risky too. If some lunatic is not gunning down innocent 6 year old kids in a primary school in Connecticut, another lunatic is gunning down movie goers or worshipers in a Sikh temple in Colorado or a tornado might just rip through your neighborhood if you live in the Midwest and destroy your home or take your life. You might get washed away by a hurricane - Hurricane Sandy or Katrina anyone? - or get gunned down by a stray bullet should two rival gangs begin fighting. As a black person, you could get target by racist whites or racist white cops and the list is endless. My point is, nowhere in this world is safe at the moment hence we should remain prayerful.

I quite agree with you given ur analysis that USA should probably be listed as one of the riskiest places to live. If you noticed, Sub-Saharan Africa is almost exclusively shown to be "Hell-on-Earth".

Freiburger: It is a safe place if you 're a Nigerian and have lived your whole life as a Nigerian in the country.

So maybe the "Risky-place-to-be" stuff is actually directed to foreigners wishing to visit Nigeria.. Hmmm, you have a point

NewsRescue- Headlines in Nigerian papers today is the story of a 46-year-old unemployed man, who on October 7, at Agbado in Ogun state of Nigeria was arrested for allegedly killing his wife by throwing her into a pit latrine over a domestic misunderstanding. That’s a raw dudu pit!

This is just the latest case in the chronic saga of Nigerians killing their wives at home and abroad.

The many spontaneous killings, unlike honor killings which are most rampant in Nations around the world, from Asia to South America, can more accurately be considered as crimes of passion, but some disturbingly are executed with scary premeditation and careful planning.

NewsRescue investigated the trends and distribution of these murders and found some thought and discussion provoking trends.

Pit Latrine: Traditional non water-flushed toilet

Nigeria with a population of 150 million, is Africa’s most populous nation. The country has over 500 ethnic groups, but of these, the three largest and loudest, are the Hausa’s up North, The Yoruba’s in the South west and the Igbo’s in the south east.

Cases of wife murder like the one above are almost exclusively relegated to the southern ethnic groups, with the Igbo’s being culprit in 9 in 10 cases.

Risk management firm and insurance broker Aon has just released its Terrorism And Political Violence risk map for 2013.

The news is that apparently, the U.S. is in no danger of the latter kind of disturbance.

Instead, the only risk to America is terrorism.

Meanwhile in Europe, the overall risk levels in France and Spain are actually equivalent to China and Russia, presumably on the basis of the former countries' recent, heated demonstrations protesting austerity.

And the sleepiest countries in the world? Denmark, Finland, Japan, Australia, Iceland, Uruguay and Botswana — the risk of anything happening there is negligible.

Check it out:
