Romance / Re: Aristos And Our Campus Ladies by sanimalik(m): 10:26am On Feb 06, 2007
In my opinion i think the plain truth is that these girls are either greedy or twisted (sick).
How do you explain a 24year old girl (sometimes younger) having sex with with a man twice her age. Try to imagine in your mind the picture of a 25yr old girl beside a 45yr old man (sometime even older)in bed naked (its not something i particularly like to imagine).
It takes a lot of guts to pull a stunt like that (and they say women r the weaker sex. lol)
Anyways my question to everyone on this thread is what do you think (honestly) r is d reason behind this sudden upsurge in this trend.
Is it the money,

Is it for the kicks,

Is it greed,

Is it a fantasy,

Do this 40somethings plus do it better than we do,

Is it jst a passing trend,

What do you all think is the reason and is there anything that can b done to stop or reduce this horrible trend.
Computers / Help With IT Career by sanimalik(m): 11:15am On Jan 18, 2007
I'm intrested in going into IT, cause i find it intresting i like keeping up with technology but I'm confused about which area to go into because like i found out there are so many (i.e networking, programming etc). So i would like to use this medium to ask u IT professionals for your help in answering some questions.

1. What is the most lucrative area of IT to go into (highest paying)

2. What area has the greatest demand as it relates to Nigeria

3. In which area(s) does the future lie (i.e fastest growing)

4. Where is the best place to get training

I would really appreciate some help from everyone with these question to help me make a career decision.

Adverts / Cross River State Christmas Festival '06 by sanimalik(m): 9:43am On Nov 30, 2006
This is to invite all Nairaladers to Calabar, Cross River State this holiday season.

The Christmas Carnival activities scheduled for this year includes:–

• Switching on of Christmas Lights at the Millenim Square.(Majority of the streets in Calabar will be beautifully decorated with nicely designed Christmas street lights & decorations. When lit at night, its amazing!!)

• Boat Race/ Parade, Boat Regatta, (A mix of the rich riverine cultures of CRS & Rivers State. (Mrs Duke is from Bonny, Rivers State)

• There will also be a street parade of competitive floats about 12km long, made up of a Trinidad & Tobago themed carnival floats including traditional dances and masquerades, Trinidad & Tobago Steel Band, Calypso Music and loads more!! Pure fun & thrill I can assure you! The cross section of the state will be massively represented in the carnival float. It will be fun galore and Mr Duke and his wife led the Carnival Procession last year and will do the same again this year!!

• City Walk & Campaign against HIV/AIDS. I have participated in several of these walks myself in past years.

• Christmas Village & Shopping Arcade showcasing our culture and various foods. Lots of Ekpang Nkwukwo, Edikang Ikong, Afang, Ukang Ukom, Afia Efere, Usung Abia as well as 404!! LOL!! Well not only food will be served there but there will be lots of artifacts and other cultural products for sale.

• Xmas Festival Raffle Draw

• Carol Night

• Musical Show ushering in the new year and a fireworks display to bring on the new year. This will also serve as an avenue to discover new talents as well as showcase old ones. Governor Duke plays the Saxaphone and is sure to give a performance during the variety night!! Other musicians will be there also and those lined up for this year include: Wyclef Jean, Chris Brown, Sunny Neji, Sammy Okposo, Tuface Idibia, Blackky and a whole lot of others. Mighty Sparrow and Maxi Priest were around last Xmas and may put in a repeat appearance this year.

• Of course, there’s the wonderful Obudu Cattle Ranch to relax in. Its a tourist's haven!! Mr Duke has been organising carnivals like these since 1999 and as this is going to be his last Xmas as CRS Governor, he is leaving with a bang so its bound to be even more fun than all the previous years.

The Calabar Christmas Carnival is a month long International festival and creates an enabling environment for tourism as well as allowing Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to wind down after a whole year of working hard. So make it a date in December cos its going to be FUN, FUN, FUN!! I have participated in several carnivals myself and I can attest to the excitement as well as the cheerful atmosphere released upon the state by the carnival every christmas!! All the activities will be interesting and entertaining!! I personally look forward to every forthcoming activity each December.

I am inviting you all to come and participate in this Christmas festival in December 2006. This is the time to plan ahead towards participating in the festival. For those who intend to spend Christmas & the New Year in Nigeria - Please do make out time and visit Cross River State!! You are all very welcome!!

Romance / Re: Phone Recording Of My Girlfriend With Another Man: Help by sanimalik(m): 8:57pm On Nov 04, 2006
Dear Nairalanders thank you all for your replies and advice, the Lord bless you.

Now to most of you who seem to be wondering how my friend got the recording. Apparently it seems this recording has been passed to different people through bluetooth and infrared (by mobile phones) embarassed and my friend just happened to come across it (since he was at the party) and played it to me. He was not the person in the recording and i haven't seen Linda since then.

She calls and i do not take the calls because I'm heartbroken. cry sad
I'm now staying with my friend so i do not have to see her and cannot stay alone cause i would think too much. Ive taken to excessive drinking to take my mind off the issue but it not helping.

I need to do something soon cause this is really affecting me, my life and work. sad sad sad
I put up a poll on the thread to help me decide wot to do objectively, so please continue to post comments and vote on the poll as to help me because i really need you all

God bless you all for your concern.

Kindest regards,
Sani Malik

Romance / Phone Recording Of My Girlfriend With Another Man: Help by sanimalik(m): 4:38pm On Nov 01, 2006
Linda is my girlfriend, she's very pretty and i know a lot of guys admire her. Everything was perfect until i started hearing stories about her from some of my friends. My friends said she sleeps around behind my back with different guys but i refused to believe them because everything seemed so perfect and she was always around even when i went to see her without calling.
I confronted Linda with some of these accusations and she went wild denying everything and swearing. I was forced to drop the topic after all her crying etc and even felt bad i accused my darling of being unfaithful.

That was couple of months back.

Not long ago Linda attended one of her friends party that i knew, my friend Bayo apparently was also in attendance. One day bayo calls and asks me to meet him; when we eventually met and he plays a recording from his phone (a Sony Erickson, which was quite clear) in which i hear Linda speaking to a guy saying she just broke up with her boyfriend amongst other horrible things and to my greatest shock,  shocked  shocked after a while i start hearing the kind of sounds I'm used to hearing behind closed doors with her.

Nairalanders I'm devastated,  cry,  i don't know what to do because theres no denying it, it was definitely Linda's voice i heard moaning, screaming and telling some other guy she loved him,

I haven't confronted her yet. I haven't even seen her (cause I'm scared I'll do something rash  angry ,  i don't think i can even face her because this pain is unbearable,  cry

Dear Nairalanders i need your counsel in this trying period of my darkest hour,
