Ironically, the system you are advocating for was exactly what was in place as at the time that video you people love to post and talk about so much was produced.
We were running a regional government with a relatively weaker centre. The Eastern region of then was like 10 times stronger than the almost powerless South East that we have now. Yet we all know how all that was truncated and how it all ended.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with what the sardauna said in the video. They (northerners) had a right to run their region as they deemed fit. That the British filled the Northern elite workforce with Igbo service men before they left does not mean that the new political powers of the region should continue with the trend after the British left the reigns of power wholly to them. The Igbos had their Eastern region at the time, and they were the hegemonic group there, they even had figures of influence in the West, and then subsequently the Midwest... why cry over what the Northerners wished to do in the region or who/who not they wanted to see employed? What then would have been the purpose of running ethnic based regions if another group from a different axis of the country is running your affairs in a different region?

No slum in Anambra state, western states are largely covered by slums, especially Oyo state

But this is Aba the biggest city in all of Igboland, a city 100% covered by a sprawling urban SLUM.

All of AlaNgwa is slum.

You need to leave that your backward region to understand better

You have used this pic of the bridge area of Awka for the 1000th time this year alone...lol.
Even your fellow Igbos will tell you than Awka is largely underdeveloped save for the areas with a government presence and that road area leading to Enugu.

But I like the way you chose to keep deceiving yourself and the mass of pitiable people who chose to swallow your propaganda.

So Kano is more developed than Anambra state going by your pics... grin
Anambra will be a mediocre state in the SW.

Imo and Enugu won't even rank. These two states are built 100% around Enugu and Owerri townships. No industries and no force of economy in both.

They even had to take a piciure of a popular interchange in Ogun state and use it for their Anambra website.
No wonder some Heebhoes thought we were using Eastern pics in our Abeokuta picture thread.

This is why nobody should be surprised when statistics from both the United Nations and our local statistics agencies tell us that the South East is the poorest geopolitical zone in Southern Nigeria..... They've been deceiving everyone with paid propaganda for so long.

The only thing I like about eastern is their storey buildings. I stayed in Awka for 2yrs 2008/09 and I can tell you Awka it’s nothing close to a capital. I’m happy to see the developers are now developing their land.

Another thing igbos will never give their land to outsiders, if u like bring x2 of the value. Some Yoruba won’t even attempt duplex let alone storey building, a little better than Hausa when it comes to ambition

Stop fooling yourself.

Igbo build taller because of land issues and Umunna wahala.
The Igbos have severe land shortages. Ambition koorrrrr......Abigail ni.

The east is filled with underdeveloped hamlets. Even their major cities are quite small.

You won't even know where the town starts or ends on google earth. No urban definition.

Just crass planning everywhere. The only distinguishing feature is the central market.
