Politics / Re: Subsidy Removal: Doubt Over July Date Heightens by sdav: 8:56am On Nov 26, 2021
Juell:
5000 x 40m x 6 months = 1.2billion naira, is not better to start up cottage industries with collaboration China with such funds? With such more people will be employed and earn far more than the 5k peanut.

Na which calculator give you this, bro?

This is wickedness, you killed animals that were just going about their normal life.

The meal you took today was as a result of 'killing the fish or cow' that was going about it normal business.

Have you thought of that, too?

Or dont those ones deserve our sympathy too?

Lately I stopped attending church because I see most of them as a business center....one certain church in pH if you no book seat online you can't gain access to the church on sunday

Why not expantiate on this?
Are you booking seats for the church to be able to conform with the Govt instruction on covid-19 or the church is charging your bank account for attendance?

Surprised a lot of people liked your comment despite it lacking in clarity.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Business Can One Start Up With N700,000 In Nigeria by sdav: 1:19pm On Jul 11, 2021
Masturbator2020:

What if he finish spending the money?

If you cannot but touch the money at the slightest opportunity, then you cant say you have N700,000.00k yet.
Even if you're start a business, it needs to pass through 'a teething period'. By this, I mean some ups and downs that new businesses usually undergo.
You have to be able to imagine not making tangible profit or meaningful sales atleast for the first 6 months.
Supposing, you start the business, and you don't have other means to live momentarily off the proceeds of that venture, then you may not be able to achieve your objectives as you will perpetually spend your earnings.

I will suggest you first of all consider what you can comfortably trade with, atleast for the first 6 months without spending from if you have no other means of survival. Substract that from from the 700k. That would make your actual start up capital, not the 700k.

Business / My Chat With Linda Ikeji Music Representative by sdav: 11:08am On Jan 19, 2017
A few days ago, I saw an advert on Lindaikeji's blog, promoting her Music Studio and I felt it will finally be a very good opportunity to get the best hands to produce my jingles.

I have paid severally to Jingle Producers in d past and have always gotten, at best, below average jobs. I would ask them to redo it over and over again before eventually giving up!

I had thought being the person (or the company we've all known Linda to be, I wil be getting the best treat in every way...but I was stunned with the chat I had with whoever was behind the keyboard at the other end

All i wanted is just samples of jobs done so as to better guide me on what to expect from LIM.

I have always known building a big org. isnt as important as getting the best hands to manage it. I maybe just an insignificant number on their list, but am sure a business built to last MUST take little details such as this with all seriousness it deserves.

The Rep even told me at a point that "Linda doesnt need promotion". All coys do. Even Facebook, jumia are all promoting their businesses daily.
Lets all learn to be humble and treat Potential Customers with respect

Sports / Kalou Pays Mikel $5,000 Bet After Eagles Won by sdav: 11:48am On Feb 04, 2013
Ivory Coast midfielder Salomon Kalou confirmed he has paid John Obi Mikel $5,000 following a bet regarding the outcome of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final tie against Nigeria on Sunday.

The two African powerhouses clashed at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium for a place in the last-four, with the Super Eagles emerging 2-1 victors after Sunday Mba cancelled out Cheick Tiote's equaliser following Emmanuel Emenike's 42nd-minute opener.

Speaking after the game, Kalou revealed the bet with his former Chelsea team-mate, and said he has stuck to his word and paid up.

"It was a very good game with Nigeria and they truly deserved to win. They started the game very well and scored at the right time. Now I've fulfilled my part to him (Mikel)," said the 27-year-old forward.

Mikel, meanwhile, was happy to have won the wager, but was even more delighted to have seen Nigeria overcome the Elephants to progress to the penultimate stage of Africa's biggest tournament.

"We are very happy with our achievement. A big congratulations to Ivory Coast for their achievement so far," he said.

"We knew that they are a good team so if we were able to work together and play for each other on the pitch, we could stop them playing. And that's exactly what we have done."
