Hello all,
Kindly help with answers,
I am trying to create a family application for my parents, completed my dads own and submitted
then clicked on create a family application.
Unfortunately the form for my mum timed out and i didn't write down the application reference number,
- Please is there a way to retrieve it?
- if i start a new application, will it still show as family application
- should i just start a new application for my Dad and resubmit since I haven't yet paid the visa fee.
Thank you

Good morning NLanders,
Just to say a big thank you to Phema, LadyGuinvere and Sir Justwise for their assistance thus far and to God most especially for Favourrrrr.
went for my visa yesterday and was granted.
It was a re-application. was rejected sometimes in Feb.
Transcript went thus
- Why do you want to go to the US
Ans - To deliver my baby
- Where in the US
Ans- Houston Texas
-Why Houston
ans- Cos i have family there and they can assist in taking care of the baby whilst am there
- Have you contacted a Doc and your financials
Ans- Yes and presented the doctors correspondence, Hospital, budget sheet( courtesy Phema) and the statements she looked at them and didnt say anything, started typing. Na so my prayers start for my mind ( lol) she just flipped thru the documents.
-when are you due
Ans- precise due date
-When do you plan to travel
Ans- Precise date of travel and reason been that i need to arrive before my 35 weeks appointment with the doctor
- Where do you work
Ans- XXXXX and explained what i do on my desk
- Where does your husband work
Ans- XXXXXX as XXXXX ( tried to give her our letter of introduction, she declined
-Is this your first child
Ans- No I have a daughter she isn't travelling with me because it was stressful managing her at the first interview not to mention when we both travel alone and so i decided she should stay with her Dad and his mum will come manage her whilst am away (thanks to LadyGuinivere who suggested reapplying alone)
Your visa has been granted. Na so i no hear anything she talk again.

Thank God for success.

Had my visa interview last week and was denied. Was applying for B-2 visa (tourism/Medical)

Went with my little daughter

Interview went thus
VO: why do you want to travel to the US
Me: To give birth to my second child in the US
VO: which state are you travelling to
Me:Houston Texas
vo: Where do you work
me:......
Vo: Where does your husband work
Me:.......
VO: have you contacted a Doctor
Me: yes and passed forward doctor n hospital relevant documents and budget sheet
VO: where will you be staying after delivery of the child
Me: with my sister n her family
VO: How much does it cost to give birth in Houston
Me: $13000 (which was the cost of the whole trip not only hospital cost)
VO: Do you have any bank statements to support this
Me: passed forward mine n hubby's statements
VO: you have this amt, (which was a little above the naira equivalent for $13000) does that mean all the funds you have is what you intend to use for this trip
Me: That is what we have set aside at the moment but we expect other allowances to be paid to us during the course of the year
VO: Am sorry you aren't eligible for entry visa to the us at this time n hands me a blue paper. which is the INA section 214(b)

MY questions:

I presume the denial was cos my funds was the exact equivalent of $13000. however some of the expected incomes have been received so can i re-apply again in early March.

What other documents can i take to show evidence of strong ties to home country.

Should I reapply with my daughter or not

What can i do different to help my chances

NB:I am about 5 months gone and my first appointment should be 1st week in May.

Thank you for your anticipated response.

@Sege2016, this is my first time of applying to the US . i usually travel to the UK.

@ LadyGuinivere
Am considering liquidating my investment of a sizable amount to show as new evidence when i reapply
i didn't take along any evidence to show the investment n somehow forgot to mention it
