Religion / Re: Is It Really Sinful To Take Alcohol? by segsmat(m): 11:42am On Sep 07, 2009 |
Alcohol intake is a sin cos when u start taking one shot, it must definitely get to a stage that u can't stay without taking alcohol and that is a sin before God. That's not true. It's all about self-discipline. @Poster, In my opinion, moderate alcohol intake is not a sin, but excessive intake which leads to misbehaviour and self-disgrace thereby disgracing christianity too is what i see as a sin. Eph 5:18 - "Do not be drunk on wine, but be filled with the Holy Spirit" It never said Do not take wine. But as an option to getting Drunk, get filled with the Holy Spirit. My advice here is: Dont force your opinion on him. Just leave him to God. All you should endeavor to do is help him to grow spiritually. |
Business / Re: New CBN Audit Report Out - 3 More Banks Indicted by segsmat(m): 1:39am On Sep 05, 2009 |
Yes, the audit has been completed but none was found to have any solvency issue. Here's an excerpt from THIS DAY CBN sources told THISDAY last night that the examiners have concluded their exit meetings with 11 of the 14 bank managements and have reported that beyond routine issues such as provisioning for doubtful loans, facility improvement and capital adequacy, there are no major issues around solvency. “From the examination conducted so far on the 11 banks there are no solvency issues that could lead to the kind of intervention carried out almost three weeks ago,” said a CBN official. However, he said the examiners are still undertaking a forensic audit on issues pertaining to corporate governance and money laundering and should they exist, will warrant further investigations. The CBN official disclosed that of the 11 banks for which the audit had been carried out, only one has issues around technology and software integration challenges that are a carry-on from a recent transaction in the banking sector. Irrespective of the ICT challenges bedeviling the bank, he said the examiners would return to conclude their audit once that is overcome. He explained that the audit had been restricted to 11 banks so far because the other three – Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank and Equatorial Trust Bank - are either private or foreign banks, and CBN does not anticipate that their exposure to non-performing loans will have any significant impact on the market. http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=153595 |

I only cook in standard kitchens where i wont have to keep squatting or climbing looking for some hidden materials. |

Family / Re: Wrong decision by segsmat(m): 9:25pm On Sep 01, 2009 |
You signed a LIFE CONTRACT out of Pressure from folks?? You gotta be kiddin me, Marriage my dear is a life contract. A contract of over 50 years if both live long. But as you've got series of advice here, this is not the time to cry over spilt milk o! You are in it for a wrong reason but you gotta to give yourself the right reason to continue in it. And the right reason is, SHE LOVES YOU!!!!! Nothing as valuable as a woman who genuinely loves a man. You'll agree with me most of the Chics out there base their love on material things. My brother, the way of out this is not Divorce o!!! Why? That her GENUINE love for you is not something easy to come by, The way out is for YOU to RECIPROCATE her love. Love her for who she is. She might not be so beautiful, not have the kinda shape you want, not be as sexy as you really want, but you can help bring out the beauty in her by making her happy. You'll be surprised how her sparkling smiles will turn her looks around. By the way, what keeps a marriage going is not physical looks but character. Looks decay, Here's my strong advice to you for the future, Never make marital or career decisions to make your folks happy. You suffer the aftermath of such decisions ALONE!! Yeah, you can listen to advice, but take your decisions yourself. All the best. |

Romance / Re: Can You Wash Your Partner's Clothes? by segsmat(m): 11:59am On Dec 12, 2007 |
@ cecee thanks and keep it up. Please help me educate ladies in the house to see it as a duty. Haba!!!!!!! see washing ur partner's clothes as a duty in this 21st century? Men, i'll advice you dont engage urself in washing ur partner's clothes especially if you are female cos your are simply turning yourself into a 'fine slave'. and if u do now that u dont have a time-consuming job, remember it would really cos a lot of problems in the future when you stop doing so. My advise? better get a laundry machine or a paid washing service. Now, i'm not against doing the urgent washing o!!! once in a blue moon though |
