Please anyone in the house I have an important question to ask I intend applying for a student visa I have all the ddocuments ready but the thing is that after graduation from uni I collected my university transcript but later misplaaced it but the good thing is that I made a scan copy of the trasnscript, so my question is now that I want to apply can I print out the scanned copy and bmit woth other documents or do I have to reaply for another of my transcript from school and submit it instsead oF submitting the printed copy to the embassy..please your answer would be appreciated. Just print out the scan copy and submit it with it... Embassy is less concern about the standard but your school do... Is a supporting documents to embassy

The question is how is he going to inform them that he did medical and passed in his first application or they will get it by themselves. His first application is less than 2 month. Thanks

He said should his sponsor address the letter to visa session in Ghana or lagos. Second question is that should his sponsor use High commision of Canada or deputy high commision of canada?

Why not, since canada is one and all what you need to produce is your passport with your TRV... you can travel with it from any part of the world to canada.....

I would like to add a little suggestion to what Hayqins BFX said. Pay all the fees you have in your acceptance letter. Transfer the money as soon as you can. Note also that, latest time for fall application is by August 1. Think about it, I saw this on CIC web. If your husband could have like 6M, is fine with payment into your school account.

Hummm... my brother, is more than 4m of a thing. Mine after medical stil insufficient fund with 33m sponsor acct closing balance, personal 2m fixed deposit, salary acct 1.1m, Dom. acct of around $5k+ et al (All to tackle previous reason of insufficient fund). Maybe they are expecting us to have 1Billion in our acct like Dangote son.

Only God can help and say yes... favour from God should lead the prayer point... some applicants don't present up to this and they received their TRV why some don't even get it with all their documents, travel history and so on... Is not about fund but God's favour and mercy..

After teana4040's post of delay after medical, I decided to fly under the radar, hoping and praying this would help me dodge the bullet but alas...I got hit!

Status changed to medical passed at 12 noon yesterday, then got emails of message and update at about 3pm, only to log in to see correspondence...Application Refused! Purpose of visit, travel history, financials.

Even though I am a guy, I suddenly feel like a lady who has just been gilted by her lover So I guess the only thing left to say is...it was fun while it lasted.

That's it from me folks, I'll be taking some time off to recoup and to regroup. I hereby close the gate to all bad news. Every other person after me shall have positive testimonies to share, in Jesus Name!

The information on the CIC website states that one can go for upfront medicals to hasten the application process. I don't want to be rude but the information you passed is wrong.

Don't misquote him please... What he was trying to say is that to be on a saver side and to spend wisely, you should just wait for VOs to send you a medical mail before going for medical.... Upfront is good too but for those that can take the risk which is normal and for those that don't mind loosing the 28k even if they are denied.... So both of you are right... May God answer our heart desire according to His WILL and His plan for our life

Don't mind them, all this is just a way of making money for the airline.... If you are going for a program that is less than a year in duration, please book a return ticket but if you are going for a program that is one year or above in duration, go ahead and get a one leg ticket because every return ticket valid for a year and it also depends on the rules attached to the class and fare..... don't be bothered, nobody will challenge you at the boarding pass desk if you are holding student visa for 1 year....

Got return ticket for abt 280k and one way for over 300k...... flying to St. John's (YYT) from Lagos date, 3 Sept, return date 30th Dec......U can just check! Tnx

I searched for a one-way flight to Saint John's, NL and I got the cheapest for 303k, so I decided to check a return ticket with the same parameters o (date and airport), and I got the cheapest for 280k. I know you won't believe so I'm attaching the sceen shots here.....
So my advise, even if you don't plan to return, check for prices for both return ticket and one way ticket

You are free to get a one way ticket as a student or Permanent Resident and expecially when your visa is like one year valid..... I work with travel agency and am talking with experience.....so go and get your one way ticket if you have gotten your TRV...
