There are no hard and fast rules for interviews. Just be prepared and be confident.

I have worked in a few companies before. When you meet an interviewer that is harsh and takes life too serious and finds fault in everything you do, it is a red flag for the company. You will see people that will waste your time from morning till evening and without apology. Especially for experienced roles, do not be desperate. If the timing of the interview is not good for, feel free to ask for it to be changed. If they offer you tea, feel free to take it. If you don't understand a question, feel free to ask the interviewer to take it again. Be confident in your speech.

For non experienced candidates, this may not be for you in our today's world. Just adhere to many of those dos and don'ts. It is better to be safe than to be sorry. All the best

The challenge with these kind of scholarships especially the oversees own is that you are not sure of the sustainability of the program. A situation where your first two years fees are paid and stopped due to either change of Government or just corruption within the system is not unusual. Several guys have been abandoned and stranded abroad because of this. If they cannot guarantee the sustainability, then I wouldn't advise anyone to explore it

It works both ways too. If I am not the celebrant, I don't invite friends. Whether it is my siblings or friends, I go alone. Maybe a bit of exception for my parents, I can invite very close friends- because my money would be involved and I can make a call. Won ni gbo o. They will never hear. Every small thing finds its way to the social media. If I spend sometime on someone's wall, I would be able to tell his or life history without ever meeting him or her. Except you are making money from it or you are a professional that needs to share a lot of your personal information or you are a celebrity who doesn't have secret anyway- social media for me is to discuss social issues not expose your entire family lineage with us. A lot of people you share these information with either don't care or are envious or are sad about their lives...only few would be genuinely happy for you and those few can actually be a closed group.

The employee went too far, agreed. He was suppose to be at his highest level of professionalism as he hasn't received offer letter yet.

However, the supposed employer too went too far. We take life too serious. What is the emoji for on a WhatsApp chat if it is not needed. I interviewed with an organisation sometimes back and I was surprised the way emojis were flying everywhere even in an email communication. There are standard formal communication in mails and there are semi-formal communication even in a formal setting. If it is against the organisation policy, you will have to employ him first and onboard him.

That was how someone told me to change my email address otherwise I won't get a job. Not only have I gotten jobs, I have also rejected jobs using the same email address. There are some people more concerned about your technical output than inanities like email address or emojis in a chat.

To people saying he has right to marry more than one wife, I don't disagree with you. However before you enter into an agreement or relationship with someone, most of these things would have been sorted out and I believe with the comment of the wife, this wasn't part of the agreement. Did you hear Alaafin of Oyo's wife complain about marrying more wives? If your wife doesn't know and support you from the beginning that you intend to marry another wife later in future, then it means you have betrayed her trust.

Anytime my boss shouts at me then, I used to talk back at least explaining my side of the story- a lot of times what she is accusing me of is not even true. I noticed that the more I talk, the more she keeps shouting..so, I stopped talking. She will shout and shout and I will keep quiet. When she is done, she would now ask me what she should have asked at first, I will then tell her I don't know. It continued for a while and I kept looking for another Job. I resigned when she least expected it. It is a lesson for me now that even your cleaner or driver no matter how young or old deserves to be respected.

When you see a man that apologizes all the time even when it is clear he is not wrong, it is either something is wrong with him or he is looking for something. It is a bad sign. However, looking for a toxic man that will insult you at every opportunity or beat you regularly and still sexually manhandle you is a stretch.

I have always maintained that when it comes to Job, your interest comes first. If you have any opportunity to leave a company, please leave and never look back. In my first job, my MD was mad at me for joining a competitor claiming that I had the secret of the company and she invested a lot in me. I didn't bother, I resigned and left and till today, it was one of the best decisions for me. My current company had to lay off a lot of staff during COVID even people who had given their all for the organization. They restructured and rendered some jobs irrelevant. Some of them had the opportunity to leave but felt the company had done a lot for them, and they turned the offer down. As far you are not going against any written agreement, you have taken time to train someone to take over from you and you give a proper notice period, please go and don't bother about what your Boss will say.

I have been married for few years...I have never uploaded status at any time. I have never publicly celebrated anybody be it my wife or family or friends on social media. My wife celebrates me openly and she always stylishly requests for it but I have never obliged her. If we travel on a vacation, she will upload everything on her status, I may not even snap any picture and if I do, I put it in my archives.

Social media as a matter of personal opinion is full of pretence and hypocrisy. A lot of couples that I know are not having the best of marriage are the ones that would publicly display their affection on social media; a small promotion at the office makes it way to the social media etc.

The word 'world class player' seems to be the most bastardized word I have seen in soccer language. I have seen a lot of 'opportunistic players' brandished as world class player. I have seen a lot of debates for fronting a one-two season players as world class players. Some will even say that it is possible for a world class player playing in a relegation threatened club and had never played for a world class club before. I think people should tune down about using that word. World class players should be like the best 5% of the top footballers in the world, top players (best 10-25%); potentially top players (25-40%); average players and below average players should be the categorization.

Not surprised when Alex Freguson said he only managed 4 world class players in his 26 years as managers- Ronaldo, Scholes, Giggs and Cantona. While there is no universally accepted definition of world class player, methinks the word should be reserved to the very best of their generation.

3 things that should not make you a world class player:

1. Club legend: Some players have played well for the club and celebrated. They are club legends and may not necessarily be a world class player. Kanu is Arsenal Legend but never a world class player; Henderson and Origi are Liverpool legend and I don't think they are world class players; Rooney is a Manchester United legend and top player but don't believe he is a world class player- However there are some legends that are also world class players- Xavi, Messi, Iniesta and (Barcelona Legends) etc fall into this category.

2. One season 'best': De jong and De ligt and Alenxander Arnold were fantastic player for 2019 and were named as part of Fifa best 11 for 2019. As I write, De ligt is already finding it difficult entering into Juventus team and already considering loan option. No way he can be termed a world class player without showing consistency. Arnold should be almost there but has only been the best in his position last year.

3. Trophies won: Teams win trophies and not individuals. The contribution to the trophy won differs. While Origi won the game for liverpool against Barcelona and Tottenham, it is not enough to be termed world class player. He plays from the bench. World class players are starters in any top team or any top two teams. Individual awards can count for being a world class player but it has to be very consistent also and not winning just one year

3 things that should make you a world class player: Remember class is permanent- When you enter that list, no amount of regression should make you not recgonized as one. That is why the criteria for being labelled one should be rigorous and not momentary.

1.You are the best player in your position in the world consistently for at least 3 years or you have been in the best fifa 11 consistently for 3+ years: Making you a star for a year cannot make you a first class. That is why I cannot say Gomez or Rashford or Pogba or Willian or Lukaku or Origi or Firmino or Gabriel Jesus or Sane or sterling or Walker or Mendy or fabinho or rakitic or griezman or dembele or Jong or James rodriquez or ascensio or Isco is a world class player even though they have been playing consistently at top level and playing for world class team.

2. No debate about his status: A world class player should be a player that at least 90-100% of people agree that he is a world class player. I am not sure anybody will argue against Dani Alves, Messi, Ronaldo, Marcello, Robben, Ramos, Pirlo, John Terry, Neymar etc being world class players

3. He plays/had played for a world class team: To be honest, if you are not playing/competing/shining at the highest level, you cannot be recognized as a world class players. A world class player should be someone playing/have played for a world class team or very much top teams and are not bench warmers but winning matches for their team consistently- You cannot be a world class player playing for sevilla or Aston Villa or Leganes etc. You must be playing in champions league or have shown consistently in world cup etc. That is why Zaha, Vardy (bench warmer in world cup and invisible in champions league) cannot be termed to be world class players.

However, apart from world class players (who should also be known as great players of their generation), there are a lot of top players who are up there and equally good but should not be termed world class players. I cannot count more than 7 world class players in the whole of Premiership with Man City having three of De Byrune, Aguero and David Silva. La liga may have more because you have a lot of world class players who are club legends in Barcelona and Real Madrid.
