kushercain: Hello, please my dog is having a nasty infection. This started some days ago. She stayed out overnight in tye compound which she doesn't normally do. I attached a picture of it. It wasn't like this before but seems to be getting worse.
It doesn't look like it's itching her but she keeps licking it Please I am so sorry for the long delay. If it's still possible can I get pictures so as to have an idea of what is going on |

bdj: Morning Dr., It’s been a while. Trust that you are well? I changed location and since then, I have been noticing a bruise on my dogs elbow. Picture is attached herewith. Please what can I apply? Good morning sir, it's been a while. If you don't observe any other symptom just simply get any over the counter antifungal/antinflammatory cream and apply over the affected area. I'll be on standby |

damoskid: Morning Doc, I have a two week old pup (18 days actually) that’s been suffering from diarrhea since Thursday evening. I rushed out to get diastop but it wasn’t available so I was given an alternative “diarox”. I’ve been administering 2ml daily since Friday evening but there’s been no improvement. The pup is still energetic and he’s nursing just fine. Good morning sir, we are assuming the drug is original and you are administering it properly. If yet you're still observing these symptoms, then the diarrhea may be caused by her feed which she maybe reacting to, or there is a microorganism in her system causing the diarrhea. Ideally the diarox should have been accompanied with broad spectrum antibiotics (e.g metronidazole or amoxicillin). At this juncture I'll advice you still check for Novax (a brand of diastop) and ask the pharmacist to recommend a good antibiotics for the digestive system, meanwhile start preparing to take her to the clinic where comprehensive tests would be carried out and the actual cause pinpointed and solved. I'll be on standby for feedback |

Dark stuffs in the ear. The only symptoms he shows is scratching the inside of the ear and shaking/flapping ears violently It's possible we are dealing with Tinitis which maybe due to ear mites or bacterial infection or simply foreign body. You would need to visit a clinic where appropriate test to determine the cause would be conducted. You are likely to be administered antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs which may be in form of ear drop. I'll be on standby |

Thanks doc but you didn’t answer the first question. Please is he due for vaccination? Last time he took the dhpp and anti rabies was may 2023 (he was 3 months then). He’s 1 year+ now He is due for anti rabies as it is annually. Sorry for the delay |
Pets / Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 7:47pm On Jun 04 |
Clevagal: Good Afternoon Dr Seun and God bless you for all you do.
Please, i last vaccinated my dog May 2023 (shop and anti rabies). I lost his card and I don’t know when next he’s due for both vaccines. He’s 1 year and 3 months now. A Lhasa apso.
Also do you have an idea how much these vaccines cost now? The price varies depending on location and I won't want to mislead you. But I'll advise you go to a standard veterinary clinic for the vaccination. I'll be on standby |

For now nothing he said he is going to have to take her for treatment of the Jaundice because i just noticed yesterday the the underneath of the dog is turning Yellowish and the eye is just starting to turn yellow. I dont know what to do currently I'm totally confused, please what medication do u think the vet should administer? (I just want to know so i can be updated along side my vet doc) Since Parvo is ruled out at least my fear of transmission of Parvo is on a safer side since it's jaundice It depends on the type of jaundice, but put your mind at rest, all will be well. Send me a dm, so that I will give you my contact, perhaps we can discuss better. |

majortwild: Mr Seun Goof morning
Please come to my rescue since yesterday i noticed my 4 months old Boerboel puppy are showing signs of parvo , he didn't eat much and hasn't drank water (not to my notice) also the stool is a bit watery and his losing weight, my vet first advised me to deworm with Zentel which i did and no effect. Then he said i should give him vitamin E which i also did but this morning it's still the same no improvement. I have invited the vet doc over for treatment, but now here's my problem tho i have been using this vet doc since 2 yrs now which is the only vet doc around my side but unfortunately last year i lost a dog to him via say he didn't take it as serious as i thought. From my research u are meant to put the dog on IV fluid and other meds but he didn't put the dog on IV he only gave injection and oral drugs which didn't help until it grew worse and died. Please Mr Seun if there's any suggestions u have or any meds i can use to support what the doc is doing please help me i dont want to lose this pup , the most annoying part is i dont take any of dogs out so I'm wondering how on earth it contacted this virus , ever since the first 1 died i dont take any of my dogs out to mingle he said that parvo is airborne. Mr seun please help.
Update: the vet said the dog has jaundice, please what can i do Good afternoon sir, and I'm so sorry about what is going on. You've done the right thing by taking her to the Vet where appropriate intervention would be done. Meanwhile you will need to disinfect your environment and ensure all your dog's utensils are sterilized. By the way what interventions has your Vet given so far so that I'll know how to come in |
Religion / Re: Between A Father And A Mother Who Struggles More? by seunH: 7:29pm On Mar 29 |
ideatoprince18: If only children knows what a real Father goes through to make things around the home work fine.... They will sing beautiful songs for their Dad.
The reason why people do sing songs of appreciation for their mum is mostly cos of the struggles that women go through are mainly physical and it's all seen in the eye. Women are creatures of emotion so it's easy for people to see their struggle through emotional side.
When we were little, whenever my Dad comes home from shop, sometimes he will be angry, sometimes he will be sad. In all the time, he always made sure we never lacked . When I came of age and started following him to shop, I found out that from morning till night he wont eat a thing. I thought he was fasting then. I never knew that he was starving so that we will eat. He was starving so as to be able to meet up family needs. Sometimes when we ask him for money or stuffs he will tell us off. We will become angry and meet our mum who will give us the money. I never understood all this until I grew up. Now I'm a man and I'm facing issues and see reasons why my Dad behaves the way he do then.
If u think a woman struggles more than a man, try ask a widow what she goes through then u will understand.
Do u know what it is to take care of yourself talkless of adding two, three, four people to yourself and be the sole provider of them all. Many will say women will do it. And I will tell u that 98% of women cant take care of a family without complaining when the Father is around doing nothing. Word on marble especially the last part 5 Likes 1 Share |

adesammie: Good Morning Doc, I just bought a Boerboel puppy (male) of 2 months ago and was brought to me (my house) on Sunday. The puppy hasn't been eaten the spiced crunchies I have been given to him (meanwhile according to the breeder he loves the spiced crunchies so much), he will only lick the egg and the canned food i used to spice the crunchies. He hasn't been taken anything except canned food (Royal Max) and sometime, he will not even eat the canned food excitingly, maybe eat little and then return to it later. He did not take the pap I prepared for him last night and the crunchies I prepared along with the pap (I did that so he could choose between the two). He did not touch them except to lick up the wet food (canned food) I used to spice the crunchies. Around 11pm when I observed he did not take the two meal I prepared, I decided to give him half of a canned food which I noticed he ate.
This morning before I left for the office I observed he threw up. Because I was running late I only manage to clean the cage and left some canned food spice with boiled egg for him, I am not even sure if he will eat it. What can I do and could be responsible?
NB: He has been vaccinated once but a Vet will be coming on Friday to give him the 2nd shot. Although from the card I was given by the breeder he was due for the 2nd shot on March 5. He was dewormed too during the 1st shot.
I am so sorry for what your pet is going through. Ill advice we allow the Vet conduct an evaluation, that will enable us pin point the cause. Meanwhile, ill be on stand by |

samistry: Hello, Sir. I'm having issues correcting my Caucasian. She doesn't listen to me like my gsd. When i resort to beating her, she growls her teeth and bites the stick. Try the reward system and avoid breathing her, she may grow wild and difficult to control. Sometimes such behaviors may be genetic and there is little you can do about it |

This is an open wound, clean the area with a mild soap and water, then apply GV on the wound, this should drive flies away and promote wound healing, if the flies are still an issue get fly repellent spray. Then administer vitamin C |

alexalexalex: Mr Seun.
Please my dog is 50 days pregnant and she vomited like 4 times today. And this include all the food she ate and throughout. What can I do? But she's active though She is in a sensitive period. You'll need to first find out the cause of the vomit, could it be the food? Environment etc or are you observing any sickness symptoms? That would guide us in the next step while you prepare to take her to the clinic |
