Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by shangos: 6:47pm On Nov 23, 2023
Good evening all, so I got my visa refused mail today because of some inflow that came into my account recently that I didn't explain in my letter of introduction which I assumed was self explanatory. Inflows include company profit bonus for the year and housing, leave allowance for the year (the breakdown is in my employment letter which I uploaded as well and even the remark on the transaction stated mortgage allowance) . So I am thinking of reapplying and my question is will I be required to go for biometrics again?

Thanks. Will a passport photography be needed?
MrSoftlife:

Yes, she needs the downloaded checklist

Hello gurus in the house, my mum is going for her biometrics in pH on Thursday. What documents those she need to take to the center after self service uploading of her docs. From what I have read here
1 passport
2 copy of passport data page
3 email confirmation from tls
4 first page of visa application form
Please does she still need to go with downloaded checklist or any other documents not listed above?

Thank you

you’ll need to have budgets for the trip. Not about the amount in your account. You need to budget wisely pls so so that. There must also be paper proof of how you accumulated these sums. Provide them during your application.

Thanks for your timely response response. Wholly for I and my wife. My Salary is about 4hk,savings 3m and $6.5k in my dorm account. Hope it's sufficient enough for I and my wife? Thanks

1. 246 is only for centre. You will still pay your visa fee
2. No
3. Depends on who is paying… partly or wholly? If accommodation and feeding would be covered you should provide amounts for rest of the expenditure eg flights
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by shangos: 3:56pm On Oct 20, 2023
Good afternoon,please I have a few questions
1.I want to use the pH center for my visa application. The 246k is it for just using the center or my visa fee is inclusive ?
2. If I am to use ikeja or Abuja center do I need to pay any another fee after paying my visa fee?
3. How is much advisable to fill in how much I intend to spend? (Accommodation is not an issue as I will be staying with my brother who is a citizen)
Please any experience or advice will be appreciated. Thanks

It’s better to package both applications together using your bank statements and other supporting documents.

Good to see that your over 7000 USD was accrued legitimately according to you. Regardless of whatever explanation you have about how it’s gotten, sufficient proof still needs to be tendered alongside your application. If you make withdrawals from your naira salary account and deposit the said withdrawal into your dom account after converting to USD, you have to show and explain with your bank statement as well as cover letter. It’s not really that difficult.

Concerning you making an application for your wife, it would be advisable to add her bank statement, irrespective of how much she has or doesn’t have in there. Provided that you the sponsor has sufficient funds to cover for the both of you on your trip.

Since business hasn’t kicked off properly for your wife, If you had kids, she could’ve indicated being a housewife only. I think someone on this thread got a visa like that, although I can’t say with 100% guarantee as I have searched for that post and couldn’t find it.

Lastly, the fact that you guys are a couple is an added advantage. Just ensure that adequate proof to that regard is being provided.

Thanks for ur response. Been working for close to 10yrs saving rigorously plus small side hustle occasionally

No kids yet. Traveling for normal holiday though I have a usa visa
Lastly so I can go ahead and apply for only my wife without any bank statement from her?
Mrmoney90:

First of all, how did you accrue over 7000 dollars? Hope it’s legitimate? UKVI isn’t focused on how much you have, but on how it is gotten..

Secondly, do you have any kids in your marriage? And why are you and wife traveling together on this trip? Because you and your wife traveling might be a red flag.

Thirdly, as long as you have sufficient funds you can serve as a sponsor to your wife.

Good afternoon all, please I want to make an enquiry for a UK visitors visa. I earn abt two hundred thousand naira plus monthly, have savings of two million naira and dorm savings of abt 7 thousand dollars plus. My wife just started her own business so her account balance is not sufficient. I have a sibling whose a British citizen, lives and works in the uk. My questions are
1. Can I use only my bank statement to apply for me and my wife?
2. Instead of applying for both of us can my wife use my bank statement as her sponsor?
Please which is advisable. Thanks

hi everyone, first of all special thanks to everybody that has dropped comments on this thread, this provided answers to all my questions i had in my mind for my interview waiver application. After dropbox resumed i followed this thread bumper to bumper were i got to know about the telegram group which i joined, luckily that same day i was able to secure a date 29th march in lagos. drop off was smooth and visa was issued on 16th april. received email for collection on 22nd april. Went for pickup on 28th april, arrived dhl muri okunola office by 3.30pm which was crowded but i was determined. my patience paid off as they decided to attend to all of us there that day. I got my passport by 6pm. please i will still encourage all of us who have benefited from this thread to share their experience and newcomers should all also do well to read previous pages before asking questions which might have already been answered. Those applying for fresh visa can also follow up and play their part with the telegram group. thanks once again
