Politics / Re: If You Are Educated And Offended By Pmb's Comment On Lazy Youth, Then... by Shebol01: 8:13pm On Apr 19, 2018
Sir, Understand that it is not about classification of lazy or not lazy. it is about a president being an image-maker! How can a president call his own citizens lazy and or uneducated and expect to get foreign investments? Think about it. PMB can be likened to a father that calls his daughters prostititues, he should NOT expect them to have suitors!!

9jatriot:
Let us start by reading the statement from Buhari>>>

"And then the economy. We have a very young population and our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. The 60 percent of the population is below the age of 30. A lot of them have not been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing country and therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, healthcare and education free,"

If you are among those who went to school and still feel offended about this statement, then maybe you did not really go to school to have such a guilty conscience.

If you did not go to school yet you work really hard to make a living, then this statement is also not for you.

This statement is for those with entitlement mentality, who disturb the hardworking members of the society by lancing freely without doing anything.

They are the ones who when government give out a contract to develop a place request that the contractor pays them money first before he can start work despite the fact that the amenity will benefit them.

These are the youths who will not allow you set up a block or building without paying "deve" level.

These lazy youths are the ones who made it difficult to justify your degree or education.

These are the youths who by virtue of being connected with no known means of income drive the best cars while the phd graduates roam the streets.

The list is endless, but if you are educated and you somehow managed to group yourself among those who are referenced by Buhari as "A lot of them have not been to school", then you cannot blame the man for putting yourself in that group.

Hello,

I'm a unilag graduate though I didn't get in through UnilagDiploma. It's very possible to get a list of all your diploma courses even though you won't get it in the conventional transcript format(because it's a remedial program and you may need to explain this to your Canadian school). I've seen a friend, now in Canada, that was in your shoes. He got a list of Diploma courses and his graded were stated, signed and stamped. I strongly recommend you talk to the sub-dean of your faculty. (S)he will attend to you well. Unilag has a culture of treating Diploma students' requests specially. Godspeed!

Bro. I wanna know if the driving license in question is for both Auto and Manual transmission or any. For some of us that can drive only Auto, any advise about getting a full driver license in Nigeria here. Pls advise.

toucheli:
Just a quick tip/advice for all who just arrived to Canada or will be coming soon. If you intend getting a car sooner or later, consider starting your drivers licence process asap, depending on your province it could take up to 3 years to get a full licence. However, coming with a 9ja licence can speed up the process to 3 weeks like literally. Furthermore, tho it may be allowed to drive or to get a car with a 9ja license+offshore later, they are certain benefits you get in possessing your province drivers licence. benefits like, using it as a means of ID as opposed to carrying your Passport+visa about, getting some jobs, and also getting a cheaper premium on your car insurance. Cheers guys!!

Nobody can outrightly say you would be refused visa. Show proof that you hve been gainfully employed or doing somethings adding to your personal value during the gap. Make your SOP very powerful and credible. Contact experienced men on this thread to help you (SnappyFingaz, Mr Siga, HayqinsFX etc) review the SOP. It's paramountly important you get a sponsor (even if you intend to sponsor yourself). Have a strong faith your application will be approved. Godspeed bro.

No worries bro. Your statement is still acceptable within 4-6weeks before app submission I believe. They(the V.Os) also understand that the timings need not be perfect. Everyone is busy, your sponsors are expected to be busy people so they can get the SOA for you when it's convenient. Go ahead with your app as fast as possible without compromising it's quality/credibility. Wait for your fee receipt nd then fire!. #MyCandidAdvice.

My biggest fear is that my sponsor's statement of account is 8 days old. I heard that it is better used as soon as it is made available. Should I be worried? And I just started processing the school fees payment . By the time the bank will be be done with their form A wahala, the statement of account would be 14 days old or so.

Guys,help me o.

Is it same with u EmmaMSc?

Hi Pals.

I observed there's a newly introduced 'Request for medical Exam' document under the 'Support Document' when applying for study permit in one's 'MyCIC' account. I said 'newly introduced' because a friend that applied in July didn't see that while applying. Has anyone that applied this month for a study permit seen this. I hope I'm not alone in this? Anyone observed same??

Your responses please my people.

Hello BeulahHephziba,

Thanks for your response.

I saw your comment earlier on the use of NairaMaster Card. The transaction could not be completed because of a USD1000 daily limit on use of card for online transactions. It's a GTB Card though. When did you use your own card? Maybe the spend limit was not in force then.

I sent you a PM.

BeulahHephziba:

Hi,
It would have been better if sent via your NairaMaster card. You will be charged more via banks than if transaction were done by you. I use PeerTransfer via First bank NairaMaster card.

Cheermate.

Hello fellow NLers,

What format should a sponsorship letter in form of an affidavit take. Is it just the usual letter format which is stamped in a highcourt and signed by the sponsor or any special format?

What advntage does the usual letter signed accordingly differ from the affidavit form?

Input and responses from our veterans.

Many thanks.

Hi Pals. I intend to apply for a Study permit to Canada via d online route. Can I have more than one Sponsor? One of my sponsors isn't willing to hand over his landed property docs and share certs to me. Can he send it directly to the VO via an e-mail. How will that work out?

Secondly, My Surname is Sholola but what I've been using since my WAEC cert was released is 'Solola' (there was a spelling omission of 'h' in my waec cert, so I was compelled to keep using it that way (all subsequent docs carried Solola. Two of my elder siblings are my sponsors and they maintain 'Sholola' as their surname. My seniors in the house, what do you advise in this situation?
