I won’t say I make a lot on upwork but I do make more than the average job seeker. 300k ish monthly- I write so there are a lot of us. Trying to get into UX and UI to make it 7 figures. I will tell you one thing. The first few jobs are the hardest at least on upwork- once u crack the code of getting the first few jobs and ur Jss score reaches a nice number. Jobs will start coming in freely. 5 Likes |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Benin City Vs Asaba City Which Provide More Job Opportunities by Shengfu: 1:37pm On Jun 18, 2021 |
I’ve lived in both so I’ll tell you what I know. Asaba is a civil servant city. Apart from civil service, there are shops and hotels. That’s all. It’s a cool place to live, no noise and very calm but if you want a job- it has almost nothing to offer. Asides that, most things are expensive. That stupid Ogbonogo market abi Wetin them call am. Food stuff are expensive. Also, gadgets and clothes are expensive too ( yep even though onitsha is just across so maybe that’s not a big deal) and rent. Oh Yahoo boys are kings here too As for Benin, it’s pretty much the same. The yahoo boys. Civil servants. No jobs per say. Hotels and supermarkets. Here’s where they differ, Asaba is calm and serene. Benin is not. Benin is also much more bigger and with more people. Sometimes I think Asaba is just four roads. There might be more blue collar hustles in Benin- plus a lot of tech companies are planning to shift there soon. There’s also some potential for the city. Asaba, I’m not even sure they have Uber or taxify. Not the point I’m making but I see a lot of unorthodox business likes logistics thriving in the city. The rent and food is also much more affordable compared to Asaba. Much rougher tho. But definitely more jobs in Benin (for me ) In Nigeria , there’s really less opportunities outside Lagos but in this case it’s a matter of choose your poison. I’m Yoruba by the way so I have no bone in the matter. Just what I noticed from spending 3 years in Asaba and 2 in Benin. 42 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello people Please help me with this. “Bachelor's degree diploma (together with a supplement, if applicable) or another document of completion of studies abroad, which allow to start the second cycle studies in the country it was issued. Document should be legalized or given an apostille and translated into English or Polish language by certified translator” This requirement was written for the school I want to apply. Does it mean I have to legalize my certificate before I apply ? I’m worried because I heard Legalization takes a while and deadline may be over by then. |

Half of the people telling you to quit your job that you need 700k to live in Nigeria don’t make quarter of that. Use your head. Job no de Nigeria. Defer your school. Plan your annual one month leave if you get one, to coincide with your defense. 3 Likes |
Family / Re: My Wife Wants To Kill Me. What Should I Do? by Shengfu: 11:48am On Apr 30, 2021 |
Honestly brother. I don’t know what you expected going into a marriage without money and getting her pregnant almost immediately. If you couldn’t pay 10k now. Imagine feeding her and the baby. I think her reaction is probably related to her pregnancy and the realization that you may not have the capacity to provide for her and her kid. Keep praying and double your hustle. The honest way out is to look for something to do that will bring in secure income. |

Hello my people. I appreciate the work everyone is doing here. God bless us all. I’m confident testimonies will fall on everybody in this part 10. , I don’t have plans of applying yet. I’m currently gathering my documents in the hope of applying sometime next year. Here’s my issue tho- reference letter of employement. Please house, does the date on the reference letter matter ? I say that because I have a chance to collect the letter from my former boss now but there’s a chance I won’t have access to him next year so I’m wondering if I can just collect it and keep it till I’m ready. I’d appreciate any help. Thanks |

Hello Gurus. Thank you guys for all you do here. I have been a silent reader here for about 2 years now and I can say I'm finally ready to give Deutschland a go. I am a recent graduate that is due to go for Nysc by june/July this year but I also intend to process the application, I plan on leaving if the opportunity presents itself and everything falls thru. My question is will the absence of nysc certificate among my certs cause any trouble. Is the nysc certificate compulsory at the embassy for MSc applications. Please respond. Thank you. |
