Romance / Why Do Men Chase Women? by silami(m): 10:21pm On Jan 16, 2011
for the past couple of days now i have been trying to find answer to this question. Well, there's a Bible story, God, God took a rib from Adam and made Eve. Now maybe men chase women to get the rib back. When God took the rib, he left a big hole there, where there used to be something. And the women have that. Now maybe, just maybe, a man isn't complete as a man without a woman. what do you think?

IBB Congratulates President

Gen. Ibrahim Babangida has described President Goodluck Jonathan’s victory at the PDP primary as “not only personal but to all members of our great party, to lovers of peace, unity and progress; and to all those who believe in democracy and Nigeria.”
The retired general, who withdrew from the race for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, advised the president to be magnanimous in victory and carry along with him those who lost at yesterday’s event.

“This is the only way we can bury the intra-party differences and bitterness that preceded the primaries,” he stated.
The former head of state also sent special congratulations to Abubakar for putting up a gallant fight and braving all the odds to make an “impressive showing at the primaries.”

History, he said, will always give him a place of pride for his tireless efforts to enthrone democracy in Nigeria. “My admiration also goes to the woman of substance and courage who never gives up – Mrs Sarah Jibril - who has since 1993 sought at every opportunity to offer her services as president of this country.

“Even though she has not succeeded, history will one day say this is the woman who saw tomorrow when eventually Nigeria elects a woman president.”

He called on all party members to put behind the struggles and bitterness of the past. “This is time for fence mending so that we can achieve greater victory for the party,” IBB stated.

He also called on the party leadership at the national, state and local government levels to woo back all those who left the party as a result of their bitter experience over the conduct of the last primaries.

IBB advised that their complaints be looked into and their grievances redressed so that the party will move on to victory.
Senate President David Mark also added that the election of Jonathan/Sambo as the flagbearers of the PDP for the April general election reflected the thinking and wishes of Nigerians.

Mark said he was pleasantly surprised at the overwhelming endorsement of the Jonathan/Sambo ticket, noting that the investment in the PDP candidates would not be misplaced.

The senate president urged the PDP faithful and all Nigerians to remain steadfast ahead of the general elections in April.
He expressed optimism that the road map for economic recovery, aggressive programme for youth employment, power generation and distribution, as well as wealth creation outlined in the Jonathan/Sambo programme of action would get the nation out of the woods.
Similarly, governors from the South-east congratulated Jonathan, for his emergence as the PDP candidate in the forth coming April election.

Speaking on behalf of the South-east Governors’ Forum, Governor Peter Obi, who is the chairman of the forum, said the governors had always worked unanimously for the re-election of Jonathan and would not relent until he was elected.
Obi assured the president of the continued support of the region and thanked the PDP for electing him in an election that was transparent.

Governor Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State described Jonathan’s victory as a victory for all.
“The verdict of the special PDP convention clearly represents the national consensus we all have been seeking. Having achieved this momentous national agreement, I urge all Nigerians to follow it through by coming out en masse in April to vote Jonathan and Sambo,” said Sylva in a statement yesterday.

Cross River State Governor Senator Liyel Imoke said Jonathan’s emergence as PDP’s presidential flag bearer “is a clear indication that the PDP is ready to enthrone a leader that will transform Nigeria to greatness.”
Governor Imoke urged the various platforms in the party to close ranks and build a team towards winning the presidential election in April this year.

Dele Momodu, presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party also wrote to congratulate Jonathan and challenged him to “a robust debate leading to the presidential election in April.”

Momodu added: “As I welcome you to the race, it is instructive to note that the 2011 presidential election will not be business as usual. Gone are the days when the PDP rigging machine intimidated and out-manoeuvred Nigerians.

“Nigerians are gaining a new consciousness and will vote for the candidate who makes the superior case for change.
“We are aware that there is the tendency to overstretch the luck and goodwill of incumbency. But let it be known that Nigerians are ready to fight to the very end should there be any attempt by the PDP or any other political party to rig the 2011 general election at all levels,” he said.

Senator Annie Okonkwo, who has just won a return ticket for Anambra Central, said Jonathan’s victory “is now the consecrated mandate of all PDP members and stakeholders in all totality” and called on every PDP member to defend it.

Dangote Plans $100m Cement Plant in Cameroon

Alhaji Aliko Dangote

Dangote Grouphas announced plans to invest over $100 million (about N15billion) in new cement manufacturing factory in Cameroon.

The company and Cameroonian authorities, according to a statement made available to THISDAY, have reached agreement on the investment.

President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote was quoted to have said Dangote has reached agreement with all stakeholders to the project and that if the cement business succeeds, the Group will move into other domains of the Cameroonian industry.

The move, according to Dangote Group, is to ensure that African remains self-sufficient in cement production and making the products easily available and at highly affordable costs to the end users.

Cameroonhas only one cement producing company, CIMENCAM, which has annual output of about a million tonnes from two plants. Dangote stated that its planned cement plant, when operational, will increase the volume of cement produced in that country as well as drive down prices.

The planned investment in Cameroun, Dangote added, is coming on the heels of the Investment, Promotion and Protection Agreement between Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) and the Government of Zambia. The agreement marked a significant milestone in Dangote's quest to establish a cement plant in that country. The value of the investment is estimated at $400 million (N60 billion).

The Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement is requirement for all major investors in Zambia, which offers them additional incentives and safeguards their investments in case of changes in legislation.

Dangote expressed delight that negotiations between both parties over the proposed investment had finally yielded fruits with the signing of the agreement.

The Dangote Group Presidentsaid the proposed cement plant in Zambia with an installed capacity of 1.5 million metric tonnesper annum, will be up and running 27 months from February and March 2011.

He said the choice of Dangote Industries Limited in Zambia for the multi-million dollar investment is quite strategic, noting that the World Bank had in 2010 named Zambia as one of the world's fastest economically reforming countries.

Zambia, he recalled, is also rated as one of the most highly urbanised countries in sub-Saharan Africa with 44 per cent of the population concentrated in a few urban areas.

He said the high level of urbanisation poses a challenge to the government in terms of how to provide adequate infrastructure for the people.

Citing a report by the McKinsey Global Institute issued in June 2010, which stated that Africa would require at least $46 billion in spending annually to meet infrastructural needs, Dangote said it has become quite obvious that African governments alone cannot hope to meet this demand.

Former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar

Ahead of tomorrow's primary of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a group, National Gay Forum, yesterday canvassed support for one of the presidential aspirants of the party and former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Speaking during a news conference at the Agura Hotel, Abuja, President of the group, Victor Labelle, said in view of what he called Atiku's meaningful contributions to national development, it had become imperative for PDP delegates to cast their votes for the former number two citizen in tomorrow's party primary election.

He urged Nigerians to provide support for the aspirant, whom he said, was committed to turning the fortunes of the country around for the better.

Labelle said the group was exercising its fundamental human right of freedom of association as is obtainable in the United States, France and other European nations where gays usually express their political affiliations.

^^^ well you can as well do yourself a favour by searching but all i know it was a dialogue or if you like call it debate between these two men.

And the point here is that understanding that we are different; understanding that we all have our interests to protect and project; understanding that we must accommodate each other within the political and economic constrains; understanding that we must reach out to other groups with a warm handshake; understanding that the world does not belong to only our ethnic or religious group; understanding that fair play is critical to nation-building. We all know that there is diversity everywhere – if not by religion, then by region; if not by tribe, then by tongue; if not by dialect, then by idiolect. Our problem is not the diversity but HOW we manage it. And thats the essence of bringing up these topic here not to start talking sections, regions, ethnic groups or religions.

Investment / How Okereke-onyiuke Got Nse Job With Fake Qualification by silami(m): 8:21am On Jan 10, 2011
Fresh facts emerging from the ongoing battle at the Federal High Court between Ndi Okereke-Onyuike, the embattled former Director General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) indicate that Okereke-Onyuike may have obtained her appointment at the Exchange on false pretext. Following investigations carried out by the SEC, there is evidence now in public domain to show that the ousted NSE boss had lied and misrepresented facts about her qualification and skills to the NSE.

Okereke-Onyuike, whose letter of application (for a job) to the NSE dated November 12, 1981, and addressed to the Director General of the NSE then, Hayford .I. Alile, highlighted her "fascinating experience" at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), also emphasising how the experience gained there proved that she would enjoy working for the NSE.
The letter in question, obtained by BusinessDay and currently in the records of the court as Exhibit AO1, reads: "The securities industry has always been a fascinating experience for me, and my being part of the New York Stock Exchange has proved to me that I would enjoy working in the NSE more than in any other organisation in Nigeria…."

She went on to refer the addressee to some attached documents, consisting of a Curriculum Vitae, and an inventory of General business, non-business & data processing skills, which she referred to in her application as an "inventory of my general business and technical skills", stating further that these "skills" meant that she would fit into any area of the organisation.

Forming a part of the document was a description of her employment at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), her position as Exchange Services Manager & Systems Analyst, as well as her job description; a position she claimed she had held from December 1976 until the date of her formal job application to the NSE, November 12, 1981. On the basis of her "inventory of business and technical skills" in the securities industry, the NSE offered Ndi Okereke-Onyuike a job as a Manager on January 4, 1983 which she accepted via a formal letter dated February 21, 1983. She was eventually appointed Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Exchange in 2000.

However, with the commencement of investigation into the circumstances surrounding the employment of the ousted DG, a declaration has been made by the NYSE, refuting all claims by Okereke -Onyuike that she had worked at the NYSE.

The sworn affidavit deposed to by the Chief Counsel, Litigation, Legal & Government Affairs, of the NYSE, Andrew D. Richman, which has also been filed alongside the counter-affidavit by the defendant's Counsel and marked Exhibit AO2, revealed that on the request of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, two separate searches had been conducted - one on October 4, 2010 and another on October 7, 2010 - to determine whether Ndi Okereke-Onyuike ever worked with the NYSE. The findings of both searches led to the discovery that she was never an employee of the New York Stock Exchange or the Securities Industry Automation Corporation (SIAC) at any given time, as she had presented in her letter and documentation (inventory of general business and technical skills) to the NSE.

The affidavit which read in part: "After a diligent search of both electronic and paper files, including files relating to former employees, NYSE staff found no record that Ms. Ndi Okereke-Onyuike ever worked at either SIAC or NYSE", was signed by Andrew D. Richman on October 8, 2010.

Okereke-Onyuike will be called on to explain these emerging facts surrounding her qualification and employment if the application to cross-examine her made by the defendant's counsel, Babatunde J. Fagbohunlu, SAN, on December 21, 2010, is granted by the court at the resumed hearing on February 8, 2010.

It would be recalled that Okereke-Onyuike had been removed as Director General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange by SEC via a notice dated 4th August, 2010, and a subsequent letter dated August 5, 2010, amidst allegations of impropriety and mismanagement of funds.

The embattled former DG had promptly run to the court to challenge her removal by the Commission. In her originating summons, she had asked the court to declare, amongst other things, that the defendant had no power to terminate her appointment or remove her from office; stating that the process was carried out without compliance to the relevant laws; was in violation of the Investment and Securities Act (ISA), and in breach of her rights to fair hearing; thereby rendering it illegal, null and void.

In her written address, she had also pointed out that the Commission lacked the capacity to terminate her appointment, as her employer was the NSE and not the SEC. However, in the latest development of this suit, the NSE, through its Counsel, Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has asked to be joined as a defendant in the suit on the grounds that the reliefs sought by the plaintiff will have direct consequences on the operations of the NSE.

Culled from Business Day.

i think you are much more ignorant of the history than i do! the peddled NORTHERN DOMINATION does not in fact exist. It IS a myth; not a reality. It is a convenient alibi concocted by some Southern politicians, and even some intellectuals to try and explain off the continued occupation or the Federal seat of power.

"Northern ‘domination’ or ‘monopoly’ of the Presidency is far from being due to a nebulous divine dispensation. It is the South’s constant and decisive support to a Northern domination or control. And so the South should stop blaming the North? (David-West, The Guardian On Sunday July 31, 1994).

2/3 of 19 States Controversy

It was the legal-mathematical wizardry of a YORUBA (South) legal luminary, Chief Richard Akinjide, which finally sealed Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s YORUBA (South) protestations and legal challenge of Shagari being declared the winner.

And so Chief Awolowo later passed on simply with the cold comfort of "The best president Nigeria never had" (Ojukwu).

Akinjide was at the time the Legal Adviser to Shagari's party, the NPN. He was later appointed Attorney General and Minister of Justice by President Shehu Sbagari. Why not?

The eclat and encomium over this legal-mathematical feat were so profound and sustained even well after 1979 (in fact up to now) that another YORUBA legal luminary, Chief Niyi Akintola, had to come out to tarnish, sort of, all the praises being showered on Akinjide.

In an article titled “I Installed Shagari As President” (Daily Sketch May 4, 1993 Page 5) Niyi made the startling disclosure that in fact it was himself who originated the now widely acclaimed Akinjide’s legal interpretation of 2/3 of 19 States.

Niyi was miffed, indeed very upset, that Akinjide never gave him any credit for the feat; when in fact he acknowledged the letter he sent to him (Akinjide) on the interpretation of “2/3 of 19 States.”

In somewhat disguised way he said that he cherished “inner joy” as Chief Richard Akinjide.

If you care to cure your diseases of ignorance you can consult some of the Tam David West write ups. i sourced most of these information from them.

Ahmadu Bello~ "No, let us understand our differences. I am a Muslim and a Northerner. You are a Christian, an Easterner. By understanding our differences, we can build unity in our country.”

In 1948 Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa stated thus in the Legislative Council: “Since 1914 the British Government has been trying to make Nigeria into one country, but the Nigerian people themselves are historically different in their backgrounds, in their religious beliefs and customs and do not show themselves any sign of willingness to unite, Nigerian unity is only a [3] British intention for the country.”

Do you think we should forget our differences or understand them as a country?

Unknown gunmen said to be wearing mask at the time of their operation shot and killed eight people late Friday night at a beer parlor in Federal Low Cost area of Gombe, the capital of Gombe State.

Fear has now gripped residents of the metropolis and its environs as most people refused to come out of their homes while those who managed to come out only did so briefly.

One of the victims of the attack,Mr Isa Patrick, who narrowly escaped death with a gun shot wound on his shoulder told newsmen in Gombe that he was at the beer parlor for his usual evening relaxation until around 9 pm when he was forced to run for cover when he heard sporadic gun shots at very close rage.

well the typicality of mindset does not mean that people cant be rational sometimes. Former Petroleum Minister, Professor Jibril Aminu, has withdrawn from the 2011 contest, and has directed his supporters not to vote the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2011 but should look for a party that is “run by more serious people.”

Senator Aminu, who made the withdrawal known to newsmen on Saturday in Yola, said his action was informed by the fact that the party has been hijacked by a few totally undemocratic elements relentlessly driven by corrupt, selfishness and mad pursuit for retention of power at all costs.

The PDP Board of Trustees member described the political scenario in Adamawa State congress and primaries of House of Representatives as absolute disregard for due process and the will of the masses.

According to him, except for only a handful of places such as Yola North and Song local governments, no proper primaries were held in the state. “In most places, there were no election held at all and many others remain unresolved or marred by deliberate threats and intimidation, and other violent acts of government-sponsored political thuggery.

Someone once wrote: “It is hard not to be astounded at the norm when you are constantly surrounded by mediocrity.” The above saying is one of the few that often catches my fancy. The reason is not far-fetched. It is reflective of the prevailing political situation in our country and, sadly too, almost at every turn in the annals of our nation’s body polity. That a few things are inter-locked at this time is however not unexpected. It is the reason for the season. This is the time that millionaires emerge overnight and on the other end, the period that the once flourishing fortune of some would dwindle drastically. It is the norm and we are not astounded at it. It is simply who and what we are as a people.
In the run-up to the general elections of this year, a few people have had to discuss some of the salient issues dotting our polity with me, especially the frenzy of campaigns. Again, it is understandable why they would initiate such discussions. They have been gripped with fear of the unknown. The uncertainties that have enveloped the climate is the reason they want to hear from supposed active players, perhaps for the simple notion that such informed positions could allay whatever misgivings that may have bothered them.
For me, and without sounding immodest, I am quick to dismiss fears about the state of affairs in Oyo. For many reasons, this is comprehensible. If we did not rig to win in 2007 and boldly confronted those who challenged our victory in the courts of law, then, what basis have we to do so in 2011, especially given that we have played our game to the very heart of the people?
Not only that our great party, the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is in firm control of state machinery here in Oyo; we have put structures in place to show that we are in office for the sake of the people. So, the criticisms I hear are certainly at variance with the reality on ground.
In three and half years that we have spent in office, Oyo State has witnessed the kind of transformation it had never seen in history. Not even the coalition of former governors who now constitute themselves as opposition boast a record that compares to what we have accomplished. The facts are there for anyone to verify. We have been able to maximize resources of the state for development with the meager allocation we get from the federation account, added to the paltry sum we are able to put together internally.
To put it mildly, we are not bothered here in Oyo as far as the elections are concerned. Rather, we can’t wait to repeat our feat of 2007 in a way that will reveal clearly who is truly and genuinely on the side of the people. It is just a question of time; all of these would soon become evident. However, the essence of this essay is not to burnish my credentials as Oyo State government. It was conceived to look at some of the intrigues pervading our national polity, especially with regards to the presidential election. The way some sections of the country are going about is clearly inimical to the collective interest of all. Campaign so far initiated with respect to the presidential election has been evidently selfish.
They are predicated on sectional sentiments at the expense of the collective good of the people of this country. That much is obvious. The issue of zoning is not only lazy and defeatist in concept, it is becoming monotonous and nauseating even to the hearing. The philosophy that underpinned the choice of former president Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999 was understandable. Had June 12, 1993 presidential election not been annulled, perhaps, the Nigerian story would have been different and, maybe, better than what it is today. Let us now assume that the Obasanjo arrangement was designed to calm nerves, must we therefore capitalise on that and continue to revel in the primitive mantra of zoning? I beg to disagree. If a Northerner was gladly elected President in 2007 and things went the way they did, could we not see that these events are divine? Why do we want to deliberately turn things backward for ourselves when indeed, God is moving us forward?
If what happened to former president Umaru Musa Yar’Adua had happened within the period that Chief Obasanjo was president, it’s unlikely we would have been drawn into this needless debate of zoning. In fact, our people would not have been bothered about who takes over even when a Northerner must have been positioned to take over, constitutionally. That is due largely to our inclination in this part of the country. I therefore consider as myopic and unprogressive, the subsisting argument being advanced in favour of zoning and, particularly, the untoward push for a Northern president.
The North had devised their means of coming up with a consensus candidate that would represent them, making it seem as if it is predominantly a North/South presidency we have settled for. Whatever the outcome of that, must we endure the pointless and empty threat that seeks to compel the president to respect any unholy understanding that is not and can never be binding on the Nigerian people? It even got so bad that some of the Northern presidential hopefuls were said to have approached a sitting president to be their running mate. Such insolence can only happen in this part of the world.
Without regard to the difference in the number of years some of them claimed to have put into politics, it is still unheard of and in fact, ignominious for anyone to approach a sitting president in that manner. Were they seeking a cheap route to the presidency? Why are they afraid of competing in a free and fair political process? This country does not belong to any section of the country; it is a nation of every bonafi8de citizen. Whoever becomes the president is obviously not going to rule over his people alone. If that is the case, why the sudden and desperate push for a president from a particular ethnic nationality?
I have looked at it critically and concluded that in comparison to the Northern agitation, the President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan presidency has become imperative at this time of our national life.
A couple of months ago, the South-west zone of our party, the PDP, met and adopted the President as our candidate in the forthcoming presidential election. This was not inspired by any motive that could be termed less than noble. We hinged our reasons on empirical grounds and above all, cited such reasons as national unity, security, political stability and of course, the incontrovertible need to compensate the part of the country that presently sustains us as a people in terms of revenue generation. We did not forget also that President Jonathan belongs to this generation, a fact that is in sync with the on-going call for generational power shift.
The unity of this country is critical at this time, more so if we have to reckon with events leading to the emergence of the president. And because he was elected on a joint ticket with the late president, it is expected that he has a grasp and an insight into the programmes as well as the agenda of the ticket that threw him up. Significantly, that will foster, to a reasonable extent, the unity of the country within the context of development that cuts across board. President Jonathan emerged divinely and that should not be taken for granted.
Secondly, the security and political stability of the country is essential. Barring this act of providence that brought him to office, it would be difficult to say when a president from that ethnic extraction will emerge in the history of this country. It is simply obvious. Thus, we should be wary of rocking the boat unnecessarily and allow God perfect what he has begun already in the life of our nation. No one is saying other aspirants interested in the nation’s top job should not indicate their intention. It is allowed. But to make it seem like some are not qualified to aspire to the office of the President because of their birthplace (because that is the trend the campaign is assuming), is a point that rankles.
Also significant is the fact that the people of Niger Delta must be considered crucial in the subsisting equation. If they are not, the late President would not have taken the issue of Niger Delta seriously and more so, as a priority. Not only did he create the ministry of Niger Delta, he also commenced the process of amnesty for militants which recorded huge success even before his death. So, are we suggesting they are better off as second class citizens and not good to be president in their own country? When former president Obasanjo opted to have a successor from the North, nobody opposed him and hell was not let loose. So, why is there so much fuss about somebody of Niger Delta extraction emerging President?
Democracy is about choice and choice itself is knowledge-based. If I am making a choice, for instance, it is incumbent on me to know what is in it for me. Besides, the truth is that democracy isn’t just about having the right to vote; it is more of being able to know what choices are there before you and the right to make them. Already, the political space has been declared open by our party, so no one should therefore be stifled or subtly blackmailed into self-denial of rights. It is completely at variance with democratic tenets. The earlier we realize this, the better for us.
We need to tread with much caution and think beyond sectional, selfish and prejudiced calculations. This country belongs to all of us and we have equal right to aspire to any office for as long as we meet the constitutional requisites.

Presidency threatens Enugu lawmakers over Atiku’
Saturday, 01 January 2011 02:21 Nuruddeen M. Abdallah
The Presidency is threatening the members of the Enugu State House of Assembly for declaring their support to the former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) presidential aspirant, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming party’s primaries scheduled for January 13, 2011.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organization issued in Abuja yesterday. “Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly who jointly, collectively and freely endorsed the candidacy of the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday in Enugu have cried out that they are under pressure to recant,” the statement said.

It said that “some of the members of the Enugu State legislators who placed desperate calls to the Atiku Campaign Office said top officials of the Jonathan Campaign Organization and the Presidency have called severally to warn the members to withdraw their support for Atiku or collectively lose their nominations for next year’s contest.”

Romance / He Enjoys Stealing People’s Manhood by silami(m): 7:57am On Dec 19, 2010
Twenty-seven year old Jamilu Mohammed, has confessed that he ‘steals ‘peoples’ private parts to amuse himself, adding that he often uses the art to punish those he perceive as his enemies. Speaking with Weekly Trust, he maintained that he is not a ritualist but that he is a “mystic freak” who perpetuates the art of trans-locating the organs of people to excite himself.

“I do not steal people’s penis for ritual purposes. All I do is to make people whom I hate or people who have angered me, to suffer for some time as I will temporarily deny them of their organs before returning it to them.

I have never been contacted by anybody to do the crime but a free will act I carry out to amuse myself and nothing more which subsequently I end up returning the removed organs back to their owners”, he said.

Jamilu who is a cleaner with the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Minna office, is also a coach of a local youth team in Bosso area of Minna where young boys within the ages of 15 and above are under his tutelage.

The indigene of Kano state who came to Niger state two years ago, had until his recent adventure, lived among the people like a normal resident before he made his position as a mind freak known.

According to one of the victims, Abubakar Shehu, the culprit took their private parts to prove he had the powers to do so. He added that he got involved when he attempted to rescue the man from an angry mob.

“I was only trying to assist Jamilu from being killed by a mob only to discover that my manhood had also disappeared after touching him. It took the intervention of the police who drew my attention to check if my private part was still intact since I was in contact with him bodily that saved me from loosing my manhood.

My manhood was however restored soon after Jamilu made some incantations with his mystical ring. I was shocked that I could end up being a victim of what he was almost being killed for”, he said.

He explained that Jamilu has always been a jolly good fellow, maintaining that he had never done anything to give off suspicion that he is fetish. He said that based on the character he was used to, he had to risk his life to intervene when he was mobbed.

Describing the mob attack, Musa Audu stated that if not the timely intervention of Abubakar, Jemila would have been late. He said that the move to kill Jamila became necessary due to persistent cases of reported stolen manhood.

He said that they responded to the distress call made by one of the victims adding that the intention of the mob was to use Jamilas’ case as a lesson to those out there in the art of stealing people’s private parts.

“When we realised that he is a penis thief, we resolved that he must pay for his crime to serve as a strong note of warning to other people like him out there so that the crime can be made less palatable for them.

He is a young man who should be interested in doing things that are more economically viable than going through the easy road to remove people’s organs for ritual purpose”, he maintained.

He said that he was not only being mischievous but maintained that he was operating under the instructions of some body parts syndicate for ritual purposes, adding that his claims are lies.

He said that since the elections are drawing nearer politicians are out on their prowl looking for body parts to facilitate their success in elections, adding that his position as a football coach makes him an important tool for the devious act.

Hajiya Halima, a resident of the area, called on parents to watch their children and caution them against having illicit handshakes with people, adding that even casual body contacts should be discouraged.

She described as “disappointing” a situation where youths will put the lives of others in jeopardy only to get stipends for it, adding that politics is not a do or die thing as she called for a new beginning in the quest to get power.

One of the three boys whose private parts were stolen, told this reporter of his ordeal, maintaining that though it was not painful but traumatic as the period of time it took for his private part to be restored was a harrowing experience.

He stated that initially, he did not know what had become of his manhood until he heard Jamila boasting that he has the power to remove peoples manhood. He said that then he realised that he had to check himself since he had touched him earlier.

“It was when I looked down on myself that I realised that my organ became smaller than usual. I had to run to my friends to alert them of what had happened so that I can get help.

But the first person who came close to Jamilu also lost his private part immediately he came in contact with him, a situation that infuriated the crowd to attempt to lynch him”, he said.

The 18 year old who begged to be anonymous, however confirmed that after some incantations, his missing manhood was restored and he was taken to the hospital where medical officials declared he was fit to function as a man.

The Commissioner of Police, Niger state command, Mr Michael Zuokumour, who confirmed the story to journalists, maintained that the police will charge him to court for committing unnatural crime and witchcraft.

He stated that while police is still undertaking detailed investigations on the matter, the men of the command are on the lookout for people who are out to hurt others through mystical means.

He called on people of the state to shun acts of taking laws into their hands by lynching suspects as he added that it is better to leave alleged criminals alive as maintaining that they are useful in bringing useful information that will lead to further arrests.
