Business / Re: What's Your Greatest Challenge As An Entrepreneur? by SIRPETROS(m): 3:31am On Sep 09, 2019
Newsoodles:
Entrepreneurs Greatest Challenge In Business.

I met a young businessperson some years back and asked him what was his greatest challenge in business. Dude went ahead and said marketing. He was with no doubt on the right track but at a profound dimension, it isn't marketing but...

But what? Competition!

Many years ago, an Austrian-born American management consultant, author, and the popular “founder of modern management,” Peter Drucker cited that “Business has only two functions — marketing and innovation.” Business can be challenging when paddled with a quack marketing but nonetheless, competition is a greater challenge.

Envision that you are the main advertiser on the web or you are the only one publicizing your products online. Regardless of your showcasing approach and expertise, you will have your audience and always gain peoples attention. Marketing becomes a problem due to the fact that the computerized world has become a hybrid civilization of interdependent economy with millions of small businesses springing up daily and billions of entrepreneurs finding common ground. Everyone wants to be known and recognized, and this quest to gain an abiding relevance and popularity on the web led to an eternal struggle of endless competition.

With billions of potential businesses competing against yours, you will want to figure out a way to outperform your rivals. That's why your business either has to be competitive or anticompetitive in nature. If your business is competitive, you have to make use of good business intelligence and employ all forms of strategy such as competitive strategy & customer retention strategy, and sometimes based your competition on price factor and customers relationship management. But if your business is anticompetitive, you provide rare value and amazing qualities are already crafted at the core of your products. You wouldn't have to compete on prices because you already provide values like no one else have done. Apple, Samsung, and Microsoft are the most suitable example of befitting companies. With a smartphone and a laptop costing over $1000+, people will still cue on ground competing to buy. Meaning that if your business is anticompetitive, your customers will do the competition for you irrespective of the price attached.

With my points clearly stated, kindly drop in the comment below any useful suggestion and contribution.

Many at times, we claim we are mentally Ok when we daily struggle with: depression, anxiety, fear, drug addiction, sleep problems, sexual problems etc -

All these cannot be treated by a Surgeon, Paediatrician, Orthopaedic Surgeon etc, but by a Mental health Physician.

Why then don't we want to come or take our ill relatives to psychiatric hospitals like Aro, Yaba Psychiatric Hospitals etc Many at times, It is because of the STIGMA!

As a result, we go or take these ill relatives to traditional homes, spiritual homes or even keep ourselves/ them at home, claiming it's a SPIRITUAL ATTACK!

These prompted Dr Nubi Peter-a Luth trained Consultant Psychiatrist to establish one of the only few privately owned Psychiatric Clinics in Lagos.

The hospital is equipped with the state of the art equipment in a great ambiance.

Our motto is "caring for the total man".

IT REMAINS ONE OF THE MOST "COST EFFECTIVE PRIVATE PSYCHIATRIC FACILITIES" IN NIGERIA!

Health / Re: What Is Wrong With Me? by SIRPETROS(m): 3:14am On Sep 09, 2019
Ovokoo:
Hello Medical Practitioners,

I have this condition that has been bugging me for some years now. Probably close to 7 years.

It started mildly but got worse over time. It's a debilitating condition.

The symptoms are so many and i'm not sure if they're related or if it's a condition that gave birth to another and then another.

The most comonn symptoms are:

Body Weakness: I always feel like a walking corpse and my strength level is very low. I get weak for doing the minimalist of things like even talking. Even sleep does not help in refreshing my body.

Memory issues: My thoughts are very basic and this has meant that i've not been able to do anything intellectually demanding because my memory has become pathetic. I can hardly learn new things or even perform well at things that i used to be good at.

Other symptoms, some of which come and go or used to be there but no more there are:

Lack of muscle control : I don't know if i'm right in terming it "Lack of muscle control" but it just feels like i'm not physically fat and very clumsy.

Stress: This is similar to the body weakness. I have stress that doesn't ever get to go away. You can tell from my face that i'm always stressed even without doing anything.

Anxiety: I may also have anxiety because i tend to be panicky a lot at the slightest thing i hear. When i'm travelling by road, my eyes are always on the road to make sure the car does not get into an accident.

Slurry speech: I think there's a disconnect between my mouth and my brain. It's like i force speech out of my mouth especially when i want to pronounce certain words.

Sexual dysfunction: I don't even know if this is related to other symptoms. But i just thought i should leave it here.

I don't even think i have described this symptoms very well.

I have been to doctors and they almost always tell me it's depression and while i think some of these symptoms can be found in depressive people and while i also think depression was a symptom, i don't think it's the underlying problem. Some Nigerian doctors don't seem patient enough to rule out other conditions.

Moderators, pls I DON'T want this on the frontpage.

My response is this:

Many at times, we claim we are mentally Ok when we daily struggle with: depression, anxiety, fear, drug addiction, sleep problems, sexual problems etc -

All these cannot be treated by a Surgeon, Paediatrician, Orthopaedic Surgeon etc, but by a Mental health Physician.

Health / A Drug Rehab Centre in Lagos by SIRPETROS(m): 10:03pm On Jun 04, 2017
Let us know that addiction is a serious issue in Nigeria now. Daily we experience an influx in the number of youths addicted to cannabis, heroine, codeine, pentazocine etc.

Many bright future are going down the drain... If you have anyone addicted, please don't blame the person for not being able to stop on his or her own, because it is a biological process which can only be managed in a psychiatric hospital through detoxification (i.e. washing it from his or her blood) and motivation counselling to enable the person to stop.

GRACE COTTAGE CLINIC IS A RECOMMENDED PLACE IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDICTION PROBLEM, OR IF YOU HAVE ANY MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES LIKE: DEPRESSION, FEAR, ANXIETY, POOR SLEEP, SEXUAL PROBLEMS (Like premature ejacuation, frigidity, failure to reach orgasm, masturbation) etc.

Heard of a "Half way home"- where your loved ones suffering from any form of emotional illness is housed temporarily before being resettled

What of "Week days shelter care"- where those suffering from mental illness are brought from Monday to Friday, as a temporary relief for their families to relieve them of the burden of care

@GRACE COTTAGE CLINIC-A FOREMOST PRIVATE PSYCHIATRIC / MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC in ilupeju Lagos, Nigeria, we do things in the 21st century way!...

This is sad! I'm a Consultant Psychiatrist and I must say, no one is immuned. The earlier one comes for check up when one begins to have emotional issue, the better...
With good medical treatment, we shouldn't have any "mad man/woman" out there that will be abused and taken advantage of.

Thanks.
