Agriculture / Re: 30k Twice A Week From My Pepper Farm by Skola1: 9:35pm On Jul 20
A question please:-
* How many seedlings of pepper can a plot of land take
* How much can one realize from it in a year
* How much can someone budget for pepper farming on a plot of land - Habanere specie

okoroemeka:
pruning or topping will give 20% or more yield due to increased branches and that means more fruits but the downside is the crop will be delayed to produce and when it does the extra branches may not handle the load of fruits they tend to break
Agriculture / Re: How Profitable Pepper Farming Is In Nigeria by Skola1: 9:10am On Jul 18
Valid point.
Ideas like pruning the stems

okoroemeka:
as a professional farmer I am scratching my head over this figures because the pepper I know especially super habanero will do better than 200% roi,for instance such small turnkey project will not cost no more than #300k to harvest,15 bags weekly for 15 weeks is 78 bags, the remaining weeks will round it off to 100+ bags, which at a price of #15-19k we will have an average of #1.6 m,from this figures it is easy to conclude that 500% ROI was produced by that farm and on professionally managed pepper farm 1000% Roi is easily achieved,if you know what you are doing
Politics / Re: Joe Igbokwe Knocks Aisha Yesufu Over National Anthem by Skola1: 6:25pm On Jun 01
Is it your family?
Who asked you to talk about her?

ganisucks:
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has berated Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu, over ‘disrespect’ for the National Anthem.

A video making the rounds on social media shows Aisha Yesufu sitting while others stood during the recitation of the new anthem at an event.

Most guests at the event were visibly astonished by Aisha’s display, as seen in the video.

Aisha also shared a video clip of the moment on her handle with the caption, “Not my anthem.”

Reacting, Igbokwe, in a post via his Facebook page, said Aisha was exhibiting nonsensical behaviour.

According to him, Yesufu was causing damage to herself and her family by disrespecting the national anthem.

Politics / Re: Cross River Demolishes Historic Monolith, Replaces It With Statue Of Jesus by Skola1: 10:22pm On May 31
Arrant rubbish

Gistmedia10:
The Cross River Government, led by Governor Bassey Otu, has demolished a historic monolith structure.

Reports indicate that it has been replaced with a statue of Jesus Christ as a shepherd leading his flocks. Additionally, the flag of Israel has been hung on the staff of the statue.

The monolith, known as the Ikom monoliths, is part of a series of volcanic-stone monoliths from the area of Ikom. The Ejagham people are believed to have engraved the monoliths around 200 CE.

The monolith stands between 0.3 and 1.8 metres (1 and 6 feet) high and is laid out in some 30 circles located around Alok in the Ikom area of Cross River State.

This change has sparked mixed reactions on social media.
