campuswaka.com Micheal D. Smith the faculty of Arts and Science Dean of one of the world's most famous University Harvard University passed out a campus-wide email on Friday telling the Harvard community that students who were found cheating during their examination have been asked to stay away from the institution for a period of sometime.About 60 of the alleged students have been asked to withdraw from the school for sometime, this came after months of investigation which revealed some students cheated from a spring semester government course titled “Introduction to Congress” after a teaching assistant noticed that some students had given identical answers on a take-home test. Some of the students has received that punishment during the falls, others were notified in late December, the school authority had said. other reports had shown that AT LEAST 100 CASES OF TEACHERS CHEATING ON STANDARDIZED TESTS SINCE 2006,while speaking further on the matter the Dean wrote in the emails "This is a time for communal reflection and action,We are responsible for creating the community in which our students study and we all thrive as scholars." Harvard Undergraduate Council President Tara Raghuveer, while adding his thought on the issue said, "The students who are implicated in this scandal from last spring still need to be recognized as members of our community ... They shouldn't feel alienated from Harvard,This was an unfortunate incident. Students are being punished accordingly." Micheal Smith said that the college would now concentrate on new ways to help the college live up to its famous motto, which is "Honesty".

campuswaka.com:students' voice ‘Imagination’, from the Longman dictionary means “the ability to form pictures or ideas in your mind” “its the ability of having many pictures, ideas”, ” its visualising,it means image or idea formation“. Thus imagination is gotten from two Image and Formation. The beauty of forming idea, images, goes beyond just what so many take it to be, because with your imagination you can mould or crumble your future. It is “Mental stirring”, now with all these definitions lets go straight to the point of how powerful our imaginations can turn out to be. For us to maximize the full potential of our imagination there is the tendency of stirring up our mind to working 100%, yes there is the sayin that humans only use about 1% of their brains.thats why whatever you do don’t think you have over wordked your brains, cos the brain is just there intact waiting for you to make best use of it.The supreme being in his miraculous incomparable ways just placed that gift for us to use in making it in life. Zig Ziglar in his word said” what you picture in your mind , your ming will go to work to accomplish. A change in imagination brings about a change in performance, even the books of proverbs 23:57, approves of this fact, with this ” As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”.Succesful men are great thinkers, they are leaders.allowing our mentality been put to work helps us to break into our supernatural ability.Your thoughts will prove if you would make a great King or a pauper.Learn to devote time to meditating, time to thinking deep and implementing things with your mind. The mind is a gold mine, its a terasure that can never be exhausted, though the smallest but the world’s most unexplored treasure base.A man with an actively sound mind is Lord over a man who believes in the power of his might.Life is too short to think small,so think wild and wide, while you live so you can leave your foot in the sands of time. There are no tall dreams, but takk people with short minds.Remember that God gave you that Mind for your usage and accountability at the end of ages, so value and use God’s gift to the maximum, for God values his gift just as he values you.

http://campuswaka.com 1. Eat meal that contain enough protein and carbohydrate On average, we spend four hours each day actively resisting things we desire. Every time we refuse to succumb—say, by washing the dishes before watching TV or by holding our temper—our bodies draw on our store of glucose, which carries energy to the muscles and brain. When our glucose levels get low, our willpower weakens. To keep it high, eat regular meals that are full of protein and good carbohydrates, like a sandwich of lean meat and cheese packed between two slices of whole-wheat bread. And never start a challenging task on an empty stomach. 2. Anticipate Roadblocks When you start pursuing a goal, consider what might interfere with your plans. Always assume that glitches will come up and that your motivation may falter when they do. So if you’re trying to cook more, do your food shopping well ahead of time. And make several meals the weekend beforehand, in case you don’t get home in time to prepare dinner. Having a fallback makes it more likely that you’ll accomplish your aims. 3. Do the Opposite of What You Normally Do Like a muscle, your resolve can be strengthened over time with practice, even if you’re not trying to correct a specific bad habit. Anytime you modify your routine, you’re developing self-control. For example, try to brush your teeth or open doors with your nondominant hand. Once you’ve succeeded in making a tiny change, you can work toward accomplishing something more substantive. 4. Choose a Reward in Advance When changing your behavior (like trying to exercise each day), pick something—whether it’s a piece of chocolate or relaxing on the couch for 30 minutes—that you’ll treat yourself to once you’ve accomplished your objective. It could be months before you enjoy exercise on its own merits. So, in the meantime, when you look at your running shoes, you should think, I’m going jogging because I want the prize that is waiting for me when I finish my workout. Placing all your attention on the end goal keeps you from being as focused on the pain or effort of the activity itself. 5. Chill Has beating yourself up ever helped you stick to a diet or stay within your budget? Probably not. You may even have ended up indulging more. (To wit: People with credit-card debt who are hard on themselves tend to rack up bigger charges than they would have otherwise.) Instead, ask yourself this: When am I likely to err again, and how will I prevent that from happening? Once you’ve figured out how to avoid the problem in the future, let it go.

http://campuswaka.com: students' voice The Federal Government has expressed its commitment to salvaging ailing public universities in the federation, this was coming from the chairman of NEEDS committee, Gov Peter Obi of Anambra state. Gov. Peter Obi who was speaking in Abuja at the inauguration of a technical committee to study and bring out actionable recommendations from the report of the Committee on Needs Assessment of Nigerian public universities, said the FG had mandated members to identify actionable recommendations in the short, medium and long terms. While addressing the committee he said ``We can no longer continue to have committees without results. We might not have 100 per cent results, but we will like to put in 100 per cent efforts. ``This time, we want actionable issues identified and dealt with,” On the rationale behind the advocacy for new universities, Obi said: ``Nigeria needs more universities, we cannot say because we irresponsibly allowed existing ones to decay, we can't build new ones. ``You cannot say because you have bad roads, you won't construct new ones. ``You can repair the bad roads and still construct new ones.’’ The governor said the present administration was doing all it could to fix the bad system caused by years of neglect. He furthermore, urged Nigerians to work towards achieving ``certificates that make them employable.’’ The NEEDS committee was set up by the Federal Government to look into the sorry state of Nigerian public universities and make recommendations on the way forward. The committee had, in Aug. 2012, come up with a comprehensive report in which it recommended, among other things, the splitting of the Federal Ministry of Education for easy management of the education sector. The technical committee, inaugurated on Monday, has three weeks to submit its report.
